Hello,
is there a hack to use the power button or the volume rocker switch as a trigger for the camera app? Using the touchscreen button as trigger often leads to shaky photos.

I second that. My hacked camera from SGS Tools completely screwed my 720P! As soon as I press the REC button it freezes and kicks me into the bootanimation screen. I'm devastated! How do we go about fixing this?

You can use button remapper to change your power button to volume up or down and that volume as power button?

Hey guys. So my wife's i777 power button just died on her. And to fix it I am thinking of using the volume buttons (press up and down at the same time) to simulate as if I am pressing the power button. Is there any such fix ?

CM and AOKP roms have an option to wake the phone by holding volume down.
Also you could download Gravity Screen Off which is a pretty decent app for getting around this problem as well.

I know that we can map the volume keys as shutter, but I was hoping there was a mod available to map it to the power button. So power button as shutter, with volume keys as zoom in and out. Im pretty sure its possible, its mentioned here in the T-Mobile S4 thread as a feature for a rom. Thanks in advance.

+1. I would also like to know if they can make power button the shutter button too
I had Samsung Galaxy S3. I have an issue in volume controlling from left side button. Lowering volume button is functioning but volume highering button is not functioning. Is it any problem with hardware or its an issue of software. The volume controls through touch system.
It's a hardware problem,
Replace the buttons.
