Android 7 Theme with TWLauncher - Vibrant Themes and Apps

So I've made some icons and used desktop visualizer. But is there any way to align them without launcher pro or adw...id like to keep my twlauncher
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk

Try extracting the apk with 7zip that you wanna put a new icon for and replacing the regular icon with yours
Jus saying im not sure if it will work so try a experiment first

Oh I don't think you understand what im saying. I kinda wanted the windows 7 look but keep twlauncher without switching to adw or launcher pro. Those 2 launchers align the widget icons better. Give me a sec to take a screenshot
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk

There. As you can see the widgets are not aligned straight
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk

I can't remember, but u can't adjust the rows & columns in twlaucher is why they wont align properly. LP allows this option but I don't think tw does....been so long since I used it
Sent from my Bionix V powered Vibrant

Yea I know. I wish the dev that made desktop visualizer could fix that so that I can use twlauncher as well. But the way it is. Im ok. The reason I ask is maybe someone knew an answer around adw and lp

Launcher

So, in peoples opinion. What is the best home launcher and why?
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
When using a Sense rom I prefer to just keep using the Sense launcher. When I had my Evo and primarily ran AOSP roms I like Launcher Pro Plus. I liked the customization it offered along with the Widgets. The Widgets are what I think seperates LPP from say ADW and others.

I'm pretty much like the person above me.
When I'm on a Sense ROM, I prefer the stock launcher.
But when I'm on an AOSP, I like LauncherPro.
Ditto. LPP FTW.
<Blaze One>
I gotta give it to ADW EX. LPP was "laggy" for me for some reason. ADW is user friendly and highly customizable. Props to Anders...
I personally use LPP as well.
I've tried ADW but like LPP better.
Only complaint with LPP is that after a reboot it lags to start, but that's it.
It's all up to personal choice.
You can have more than one launcher installed.
Install a few that interest you, try them, and stick to the one(s) you like.
Adw ex ftw

I've come to enjoy the sense weather animations too much. I used to be a LPP junkie, but now I find myself using Sense more and more. Now, if only we could put 5 rows of icons on the home screens in sense
Sense can be edited for five rows with a smali edit. A little deep of a mod, but I remember it from my hero days.

If you can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I did a google search, and I couldn't find anything, other than someone mentioning to edit the rosie.apk. There were no instructions beyond that.
ii used to like the stock launcher, then got bored. Switched to LauncherPro Plus, and it was freakin awesome.. except it tended to lag. Then ii switched to ADW Plus. It doesn't have the widgets from the sense ui or Launcher Pro, but it looks beautiful, works pretty seamlessly, and has a few extra perks perfect for me.

How can a modify a launcher?

Hi guys
Is it hard to learn how to modify I launcher?
I really love this launcher on my mini
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500095
I asked the guy that made this if he can make it with 3 home screens instead of the usual 5.
He couldn't do it so maybe I can do it my self.
Is it possible to do it and is it hard to learn?
Thanks in advance

I've always found that market launcher's run smoother and more customization. I suggest trying adw.launcher, go launcher, hi launcher or zoom launcher, their all great. Getting theme's let's you get the look you want it mismatching theme pieces. I personally use adw.launcher ex( paid)

Widget selection screen

I find this widget selection screen clumsy and ugly in Touchwiz, it's much better in GolacherEX and other launchers.
Anyone know how to make it display widgets list alike, like it was before?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
long press home screen, select widgets from menu....job done
Thats exactly how widgets look when i do that, this was like this on SGS3Touchwiz, Galaxy S2 had this list alike widget list, also had mod that same widgets were grouped together.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
ah, my bad, I'm using nova launcher which gives the old style list, must be touchwiz way then....change launcher
Nah...first time now i like how stock launcher looks, nova is ugly.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
If you need stock TW launcher then I think you need to get used to it. This is how stock ICS launcher handles widgets and apparantly sammy didn't bother changing it.. But I kinda like it.
Lots of things sammy dont think, they should have listen the users more. Nova is ok, Golauncher seems better, but i stick with stock till someone makes new hacked version of this touchwiz.
I really like how stock launcher change pages, havent seen so cool looking on any launchers even they have more options to change it.

I do like TW launcher but what bugs me a lot is the way TW launcher create folder. Samsung choose to use ICS style on the widgets but decided not to use ICS style on adding folder. Doesn't make any sense. :banghead:

Maybe use apex launcher and then choose touchwiz theme as design? Dunno if that fits all your needs though
I use sslauncher and hitting the menu key gives the traditional.Samsung options, like settings / wallpaper and long press the screen gives options for Widgets etc.

Homescreen transition animation will never be the same
And of course the clock widget will be gone. So not fit to my need.

What's everyone using as a launcher?

Just curious if people prefer stock or a replacement launcher?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Nova.
I used ROM Cleaner to remove the sense launcher.
Ha I was also wondering this. Was just about to ask and saw this thread. I was wanting to make a sleek simple homescreen and someone said I couldn't change icons with stock launcher.
How easy is it to switch back and forth between launchers?
As easy as installing from the play store and running it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
But would it keep all the settings. Like could you set up two different launchers and have them set the way you want. Then just feel like going to a different look one day just because you feel like it lol.
Yes. A launcher is just an app like any other app. Settings get saved.
Nova, have used it since I got my Galaxy S2. Love it easy backup/restore change icons individually, and more!
Just installed Nova Launcher and gotta say its pretty cool. Here's what I created. Just two questions. Can nova launcher make the status bar clear? And I used simple text to change icons on the dock but it has black background behind the words. Can I make that clear somehow.
I use apex launcher and as nova
It's amazing, I had no trouble changing plenty of phones while keeping my layout

ive been a nova user for quite sometime , however ive been using stock on the one.
Guess im the only one who actually likes and uses blinkfeed =]
I'm using Next Launcher with custom apps and live cube wallpaper very cool!

Action Launcher - allows minimalist approach, very fast to select apps. And Blink Feed app from appstore switches back into sense launcher so I can go back and forth.
Apex
This may be the perfect place to post this:
Does anyone know of a launcher (or can creat one) that is JUST the Sense 5 app drawer?
i.e: unlock your phone, and hit the app drawer button: THAT is ALL I want to see.

I've always liked the stock launchers over Nova, Apex, etc. Although I did enjoy them on CM roms on the One X when I had it. Usually I'm not a fan of stock Android. I've always much preferred the manufacturer skins.
I love sense 5 too much to switch

(REQ) hide app labels

Is there any mod out there that can disable the icon names from the homescreen?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Most homescreen replacements can do this. I personally use GoLauncher and use that feature.
Here is my setup:
Hyperdrive ROM
Cobalt Theme
Blackout Google Playstore / Dropbox / GMail
Blackout Dialer/Contacts/SMS
Replacement Icons by SeriouslyCrazy
MultiWindow

As noted above - I use Nova launcher and turn off app labels as well. I think you'll find Nova, Apex, or Go Launcher superior to the stock launcher.
sorry but I am not a fan of AOSP. I really like TW. Besides, Won't Nova launcher override Hyperdrive's settings/ tweaks?

Nottach and desktop visualizer will allow you to do that to Touchwiz launcher.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Nottach only hides dock and quick setting labels.. I am not going through each icon with desktop visualizer just to hide the stupid labels. I really wish there were more development for this phone besides colors. Im all about performance. Any other suggestions here? If not, please close the thread.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Someone would probably have to modify the tw launcher itself to do that which I've never seen one to do it being most just use third party apps and launchers for those things it's not really worth the time to make...I don't think you'll find any options aside from what's been suggested...have an all white wallpaper so you just can't see them? Unfortunately using tw launcher doesn't leave many customization options...best bet would be finding a dev that does modifications to tw and see if they'd be willing to take the time to modify it but imo seems like a lot of work for something that already has multiple ways of being done...I've never seen any mod specifically for that, just a bunch of apps n different launchers

You should prob make it yourself or just continue being lazy and whine about it. Doesn't matter either way to me. You want it bad enough? Do something about it.

I have been waiting for this as well. Maybe if enough people bring it up in the 3minit thread gharrington will notice and look into it. I like to mention ideas for s4 mods in there, he's doing awesome stuff.
Anyone?
