Hi!
I have an Spanish HTC Hero and recently I moved to live to UK. I bought a 3 sim card for using skype for free but it doesn't work. I have skype on 3 installed but it crashes when logging in. I need an official 3 HTc Hero rom? or there is any custom rom compatible with it?

Donwload the 3UKSkype_0.10.0.12_hutch_live apk and it should be working (at least it works for me....)

No problem mate, which update you actually talking about? For Skype you won't need any update....and yeah.... you cannot find it on the 3UK website...
I was talking about the skype update. I thought maybe there were a post or website releasing updates of the skype mod, but if I won't need it it's ok!.

I see what you mean...I think this actually is the latest version, and it works perfectly, but keep looking at XDA you may see new update in the future!

also, if i want a contract-free,SIM-unlocked, is one available?
Or Will it have to be unlocked from my end? thanks...
Also, there is NO LTE/4G in India yet. There is only 3G and I am using a GSM...Will the imported phone work.

Hi, i have a HTC Titan (from UK), and works exceptionally well in Mumbai, India. There isn't any radio issues (3G/Edge) and call quality as well as battery life is just fantastic. Don't know if same applies to a unit from USA & whether you need to unlock or not.

Oh thanks...u have Titan and not the Titan II right? Did u unlock it in any way or just put ur SIM card and it worked?

Yeah, it is Titan, NOT Titan II. And i did not required any special unloack, i just put my SIM and it works perfevtly. Again, it is UK and NOT USA version. IMHO it is worth all the hassle to get it from overseas, it is just great.

Been using it for over three months now, but it did cost me close to 37K to get it from UK... How much would it cost to get from USA now? Anything less than 30k is a steal in my opinion.

Are you in Mumbai? I will be looking for Lumia 920 once it is available in India around mid-january. At that point, i will be selling off my Titan, let me know if interested.

I did installed a custom ROM with 7.8 and used it for awhile, but just reverted back to stock in expectation of official 7.8. So, NO, at the moment its not jailbroken.

AFAIK "Jailbreaking" is a term for iOS. For WP, we need to install "HSPL" in order to install any custom ROMs. By default it comes with "SPL". So what i meant was, i installed "HSPL" & then custom ROM... and now back to "SPL" (factory settings). Hope this explains a bit.

I know that...but can u go back to SPL after installing HSPL? I thought u cant?
Also, there are many ways to install SPL on Leo, but nothing for the Titan...will I be able to install custom ROM on ur device again?

If you have to send your Titan I back for repair you have to return it to it's "factory-state" or else you might as well shoot your own toes off for all the good it will do I'm living proof you can kiss HSPL goodbye; the fun starts when you try to put it back on the 2nd time!

Yes and no; you must HSPL to install a custom rom; think of SPL and stock as a Catholic marriage; it's the annulment that counts.

Google finds more results with "11.77.3504.00U" :laugh: .. But still I gues there´s no difference. I use 11.77.3504.00U and every rom works for me

Me too... But I notice that most CM10 or AOSP roms need us to use the 11.77.3504.00P version... thats why im curious...

Boot the phone to fastboot and from a pc with working adb/fastboot do a "fastboot get var all" without the quotes. Paste it here but please blank out the serial and imei info.

Does anybody have or knows where there are active Rom sites ?
I know its an old phone, but I wanted to put it back to a windows Rom. Would prefer a custom Rom. I'm using a Galaxy Note 2 currently. Until couple years back, I was using my Hd2 on android.
All the sites come up empty. It may be too late. I used to have all of this on my computer.

Found super sporty sexy rom, which I was able to download and install. No other roms are available. At least I got the phone up and working.
If anybody has some windows roms left on there computer, Like the NRG roms. I would tried them I alwayys like the roms from CORECELL

I saw this thread and I went there and the tmobile US versions are not downloadable I am actually looking for one that works on tmobile hd2 with out all the tmobile bloatware. Any suggestions?

I try the few that was on this list of what you said. I only found 1 that had the start botton on top left. And I have to say you are right its a beautiful custom rom for sure.
