[Q] OFFICIAL Stock 2.1

I want to Odin back to the REAL, FINAL version of 2.1 for the Vibrant.
Anyone know where to find this?
I keep searching, but only finding T-Mobile versions, bloated with their software, or an unreleased version of 2.2. I just want the 2.1 STOCK to Odin. Thanks
There is no official ROM released by samsung. But JFD is the true stock.
Thanks! Is there an untouched JI6 .tar file anywhere?

Your version says 2.2. Are you running a ROM or did u put down 2.2 instead of 2.1 by mistake. SE didnt release 2.2 firmware. Just want the facts right so i can help or others can help.

Click to collapse
no the latest froyo release is 2.2.2
Gingerbread is 2.3.x and yes there is a tsm resurrection 2.3.4 rom and a powerwashed eh09 2.3.4 rom. Also there is mtd based 2.3.5 aosp,cm7,miui all can be found in the dev section. The 2.3.4 roms I mentioned are closest to stock gingerbread and easiest to install. I would recomend those first for new users.

Flash miui without overstock kernel

From a newly rooted eclair 2.1, can I safely flash 2.3 miui rom variants without flashing the overstock kernel 1.5 from Miui Guide stickies assuming I already flashed CWR via ROM Manager?

Yes. You should... Not sure why you wouldn't use the method in my guide though. It's a much quicker process...

[Q] Vibrant Odin 2.2 stock files?

Maybe I'm an idiot and missed it somewhere or maybe it doesn't exist, but I'm looking for the stock Vibrant Odin files for 2.2. I have to ones for 2.1, but I hate having to use Kies to bring it back to 2.2. Any help would be appreciated.
What I use is Eugene's 2.2 Froyo ODIN which can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833024&page=49
It will also automatically root.
The link is gone from that thread. Anywhere else I can find it at?

Try Whitehawkx's stock froyo rom (deodexed and Odin versions):

Hopefully, the links still work.
Just out of curiosity, why are you trying to go to stock 2.2?
