Flash it manually without seus
download flash tool and the rom then put your phone on flash mode and flash it.

i don't think so
maybe you just gotta go to the SE repair centre instead of your vodafone shop
You will have to use the flash tool for flashing firmwares.
Cheers!

Hi, I recently heard that the new update coming for the xperia x10 is only going to work for generic firmwares. Is this correct? If so, how do I install a generic firmware on my phone that would allow me to update it, and which firmware do I use? Thanks!

Use SEUS or wait until its uploaded.

Okay, will this allow me to update to the official gingerbread through pc companion, or does the update come from seus too?
And would lose all my files, or would I still be able to restore with titanium backup? Thanks!

Updated right now with SEUS to 2.3.3 (had the X10i_2.1.B.0.1_CUST-DE GENERIC 1235-7836.zip)
Everything except sd card gets erased. Maybe try SE backup tools of PCC
So do i update my x10a to the same x10i generic you had? do i need to do this through seus? as long as i can get my phone updated to 2.3.3, i don't really mind losing all my apps! so after putting your generic version on my phone, i will update through pc companion, correct? is this how you updated your phone to 2.3.3???
SEUS Repair function Q
Hello!
I am new to both the XDA forums and to the Android modding in general.
A while back I did root my Generic X10i and install Xrecovery on it but now I have heard from several sources stating that I need a "clean" phone to get the 2.3.3 update from SE.
My question is: Does SEUS repair reflash the entire phone and remove all traces of modding so I can update to 2.3.3 w/o any problems?
(I have backed up my contacts and dont mind losing apps, as long as I have the 2.3.3 update)
Good question, I also don't mind losing my apps as long as I get the update!
Does anyone know if repairing you're handset removes traces of rooting?

Repairing wipes your phone and installs an official firmware, so yes. It removes all traces since it's a fresh install.
Any install using the Flash Tool (with wipe userdata checked) will install a fresh firmware.

but Repair will install based on what? the original firmware from that region or the original where the previously installed custom firmware was based on?
Thanks all. Was thinking about a repair based on the original update firmware from pc companion, do I can update once 2.3.3 hits my brand of phone

is there devtools for 2.3.3 my network shows pretty bad reception have to crash server.. that worked with froyo..
Wrong thread. But to your question you probably flashed a firmware from a different region that works different than your reception. Like different radio signals

i just flashed as it said in tutorial. i'm in sweden and its GB firmware it shouldnt be that incompartible or?
Did u use pc companion? Or flash tool. If flash tool just flash the firmware again. Or try entering your 3g settings in manually

i flashed some ftf or tft file and then used pc companion to upgrade and then used xrec to install wolf's rom.
Hi, I have a question:
If i flash my mini pro with flashtool, will I lose cwm? If i want to remove it, i have to use "repair" in pc companion, right?
Yes. To remove CWM, either flash or repair your software with PC Companion.
Yes

Flashing sony firmware with flashtool will install stock sony kernel and ROM and surely you will loose cwm as it is not included in stock kernel.
Repairing with PC Companion also do the same thing as flashtool, so surely it will also remove cwm, and you will have stock kernel and stock ROM.
