Hi guys,
I'm an owner of x10 and since 1 month I'm using a dual touch, but there is a problem.
When I touch left upper and right bottom side of the screen it fells like I would be touching left bottom and right upper side of the screen.(other way too)
I already tried it with eclair (2.1) and froyo (2.2.1), and it's still the same.
Can You say me if you have also the same problem?
I just want to know if it's malfunction in my x10 device or that's a problem with the files that make dual touch work.

try downloading a multitouch test from the market.. dual touch works fine on my phone.
Have you tried a reflash?

I already tried multitouch test and as you can see on the picture it works wrong.
I've tried to reflash it on android 2.1 and 2.2 and it's always the same. I think that's a malfunction of my x10 if it works fine by you.

I just realized it could be an issue of a screen protector. If your x10 work correct can you tell me do you have any screen protector write now?

sadly.. the only way to get a resolution to this problem is to get a new phone with true MT support... the X10 will never be able to do it.. this "cross over" issue won't ever go away.

does this work on legend? it doesnt on mine but may be because needs to be rooted to work, the demo works and ive got it switched on for text input but doesnt actually use swype in texts or anything.

It's working here also nicely. Using the open beta. Just wishing for more language packs, like German and Indonesian.

The beta works flawlessly for me so far.. Make sure to enable it in your input options. Takes a bit to get used to and I definitely recommend finishing the tutorial (and I'm not a tutorial kinda person) and even reading the tips. It's wicked once you get used to it.
The keyboard will appear as below when properly enabled.

sorry for the late reply guys, it does work on legend. once you have selected it under keyboard settings. when you go to a text message for example do a long press in the text box and it will say change input method. change this to swype

once youve activated it under settings, go to a text and do a long press and hold in the text box and change input method will come up. select that and change it to swype
Since there is no working flashlight for Streak (some work but can't turn off the LED) I had to make one myself.
The icon's lame too, I know.
NO ROOT REQUIRED!
Works only on Android 2.1 (official built 8105).

This is an awesome little app. Than you for writing it.
Works most of the time but sometimes it messes up. I think that's due to my superuser.apk being a bit broken and the remember checkbox not working.

It doesn't work with the later leaked Android 2.1 image. I'm waiting for official ROM to fix the app.

i upgraded to the official 2.1 today (8105) and this doesnt work correctly. it turns on, but you cant turn it off.
I really hate Android Market. It's probably the worse app of all android apps (ironical isn't it?).
But one of the things that really makes me crazy is the "Update All" feature. It just never works! Not only that, it actually makes things worse!
Usually it tries to download all things at once which soon causes a crash of the app or device, after which the progress of all apps just stays stuck, even when they're 100% downloaded!
Then the only solution is to go over all of the apps, one by one, cancelling the download (after which the app is shown as "not installed" in the market!) and installing again.
So this superduper feature costs even more time than updateing one-by-one would!
Am I the only one experiencing this? I really hate it!

I could be wrong but I don't think 1.6 supports the update all feature. In any case, I've never had that problem on either my streak or nexus one. Maybe if you cleared the cache in the market app that might help.

it causes errors when an application that needs update requires permissions. these are not properly handled by 1.6 but should work in 2.2.
I just use AppBrain. Very useful to remember what apps you have installed if you have to do a total reset too.

Because Market gets often automatically updated and I hoped they'd fix such a problem soon (naive, I know).
So been using turl1 v8 Lang for pics and been getting a weird glitch where the touch screen will have false inputs at the top of the screen I've looked At it with the pointer location on add appears to only affect the top 1/4.
I wasn't sure if this is really related to turl1's build because I thought I read somewhere that there is a partition on your phone that causes this from a bad flash
Any ideas?

I'm on turl's v8 and also having similar problems with the touchscreen but it doesn't do it very often. Mine does it very rarely but I can tell when it does it.
yeah same here started with turl1 v8, and if I turn on pointer location about half the time there will be 5 phantom pointers at the top of my screen going crazy
bump again, having similar issues with my screen, except its mostly the bottom portion where the keyboard is so i cant type vey well without it pressing the wrong letters
Same here but on top quater of the screen. Running nottachtrix 1.3.1. Flashed and wiped a lot but cant say for sure when it started.

That looks blue so it looks like it has been modded, did you buy it used?
I dont think that it's software problem, since even on the main screen all 3 should light up, try rebooting the phone maybe really some soft issue, if not take it to the service center.

if it's still in warranty, i guess u should exchange it.
i havent found any (software) mod that turn off the led like that, only the brightness level.

No. I using original factory firmware!
I bought through the internet and the exchange procedure is very annoying!
I am sure that this is a simple thing to solve, I'll try to arrange for technical assistance.
