Trying to take a few files off of my phone. My phone recognises it's connected, asks me if i'd like to usb storage bla bla. However, my computer doesn't recognise anything after usb sotrage is turned on. It did beforehand, but no idea whats changed. Thanks.

Recently I have found that when I connect my phone to my PC I get no option to mount. The PC is not recognizing that anything is attached and the phone is not giving me the option to mount the storage. Also, when I turn off the phone and plug it in it automatically turns on. Anyone ever experience this?
When I first got my phone and plugged it into my computer, I had to use the pulldown menu and press a "connect to USB" button for my phone to be mounted in Windows so I could access the phone storage. Once I was done, I had to unmount the phone by using the Windows safely remove hardware function.
Now when I connect my phone it simply tries to connect to Kies and although my phone does appear within Windows and I can access the files, I don't have the connect to USB feature and when I'm done, there's nothing to unmount.
What happened? In both situations, I don't even have Kies installed, so the connect to USB option was obviously what I wanted.
Enable USB debugging to mount to usb the old fashion way. Note that if you have a sdcard in the phone when you do this, both the phone's internal memory and your sdcard will show up as two separate drives on your computer.

Thanks. Makes sense now... when rooting it I obviously had USB debugging enabled... guess I disabled it and didn't put two and two together.

I have Project-V rom.
I connected my Phone to pc and selected Mass storage.
My computer showed 2 drives in "My Computer"
I go to the internal storage and from there clicked on "external_sd" (If I remember right).
after 3 sec. the file browser on the pc closed and since then my PC not recognize my phone anymore.
Every time I'm connecting my phone I got "USB NOT RECOGNIZED"
I tried to connect another t959 phone to the same computer with the same cable and same usb port and everything was ok (that say that its not the usb port \ cable \ drivers \ windows ....)
I put the phone on Download mode and tried to find it with Odin => Not Recognized.
I tried to remove the SD card and connect to Pc => Not Recognized
Tried to remove SIM => Not Recognized
One thing that still working is the charging... => its look like the charging work perfect (when I connect my phone to computer \ wall charger the bat icon change and the presents are going up).
ANY HELP PLEASE?????

Try uninstalling then reinstalling drivers

thanks for your help but this is not the problem...
As I say when I connect another vibrant phone to the same computer everything is working....
BTW.
I can assess the files in the internal & external SD from the phone itself and everthing else on the phone (BT \ WIFI \ GPS \ Siganl) working OK....
Any other help please..
I know the in "disk on key" if you removing it without the "safe remove" in the windows there is possibility that any pc will not recognize it util it will get formatted again....
can it be my problem to???
as i say the phone was closed the "usb connection" while the phone was in "Mass Storage" mode....

Hi all.
Problem is I cant get the phone to connect to any computer (It did work before untill recently) It charges fine with the wall charger using the same USB but wont charge or recognize the phone when I plug it into a PC or MAC. So at the moment I cant access the internal mass storage and also write to it.
Tried USB Debugging but that doesn't do anything either. I'm really lost and would appreciate any help. It's still under warranty so I could return it if it turns out to be faulty.

sometimes the system does not pick up internal storage for like 30 secs. try waiting. Also try inserting the sdcard into the slot and see wheter you can acess that.
alternatively try Multi Mount SD-Card Lite app in the market. maybe it will help
Today I installed Cyanogenmod for the first time. The install seems to work as my phone is working perfectly. I connected my phone up to my computer to put the GApps file onto it to install them (and also to put on my app backups), but something weird happened. I plugged my phone in and it was charging and my computer recognized that a device was plugged in, but I had no way to access the device. It was in MTP mode with USB debugging turned on. I tried to used ADB but when I used the "adb devices" command it said that no devices were plugged in. I have no way of getting anything onto my phone. I also realize that I messed up really badly by moving my backups off of my phone and onto my computer. What do I do?
EDIT: I managed to install the google apps by doing it directly from the phone, but I still cannot push the backup files from my computer to my phone.
I'm not sure how to solve your PC->Phone connection but you could get a MicroSD USB adapter, copy/move what you need to a MicroSD card, then put the card into the phone.
