Niiiiiiice! Gonna try this out
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
WoW! I have to try this!!!
Is it the build.prop file in the system folder of the OS?
EDIT: Edited it anyway, now rebooting, hope I've not done it wrong!
OK, it works!!! Only problem is that it is a little slow and the rotation function doesn't work. Think I might return back to the old one

yeah, if you open the OS you have eg. CM7 RC1 zip that you flashed and unzip it there is a file in it called build.prop if you search for the bit you have to edit and change the numbers then save it then flash it. Then you can tilt in google maps, however it is very slow and zooming is jerky.
Anyway to add it in the root explorer?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
No.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I changed, and not working for me. Strange... I just get in picture 2. I try to tilt down, no difference.
Edit: it won't work if you edit it in phone. I'll use my pc to edit it tomorrow

Editing it on the phone itself will require S-OFF.

Arc Software needs certain things that non-lg roms don't have. Therefore you can't install it.

The ArcSoft package contains the ArcSoft folder from /system/3rd_party and some libs in /system/lib (like libarc???.so). No luck for me too, maybe some more files missing. If anyone could do, I would be really thankful to him

I think there's something in the framework of stock roms it relies on, I can get it to install and load (after some nasty hacks), but it seems unable to actually function (Log just spits out "Application already in focus ignoring..." )
... But don't think I've given up, this is one of the few items on my "wish list" for SwiftDroid

Can you elaborate a bit further? -- It was easy enough to "hack" the apk to allow it to install, and it loads up... just kinda doesn't actually do it's thing. (log is no help here sadly)

Don't know why you don't have one there, system/media is the correct directory.
Does the rom support bootaninations.zip?

Dont look in the sdcard folder rider. Make sure you.have root.explorer or.something that will let you into.the system files. Its under system/media. I believe.its also.where.all the default sounds are.

Using Root Explorer navigate to system/media and find the .zip you put there. Long press it and select Permissions. It should be set up as follows:
User: Read, Write
Group: Read
Others: Read
See if that helps, though Im not a Gingerclone user so YMMV.

Alright.. doing
Code:
adb remount
adb push whatever.apk /system/app/
adb reboot
Does install the apk. However it will not work due to the libraries and other files in ICS. So I would just wait for ICS. On the bright side face unlock is more of a gimmick, it's not very good at securing your phone.
love to see someone back engineer this or something to get it working on Gingerbread
used it on cm9, but would rather use GB as a daily driver still
try this this may work android (4.0 +)
