Yesterday I got the message that there is a new firmware for my phone, V10R_00. Trusting the LG official tools I have started the upgrade process. My phone is from Germany, from BASE, but it seems to have a portuguese firmware. At least the user manual is in portuguese and english. The result was a nonfunctional phone stuck at the Android boot logo. Do you know which original firmware received an update yesterday? tnx
This topic has something similar. An update to 2.2.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961046
in my case V10R_00 it is an update from 2.2 to 2.2.1 for a portuguese firmware. I got it working after a hard reset. The touch screen bug is not fixed yet, there are some apps changed and that is all

I have tried several times to do a firmware update for the T-mobile G2 (Dutch version). I don't think there is any difference between the dutch or the english version.
Everything goes until the firmware updates really starts. I get a message bootloader starts over again! and then that the firmware update fails.
My G2 has been rooted, but i turned all back to the original backup. (I Think)
Modelnr: T-Mobile G2 Touch
Firmwareversion: 1.5
Smallbandversion: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Buildnr: 1.76.110.6 146733 CL#47214
Softwareversion: 1.0.0.A6288
Is there anyone who can help me so that i can use the firmware update. I hear a lot of complaint over this update, but I need to be able to acces a WiFi network.
Are you using the RUU process? If so, it's probable that it is failing the CID check as you are T-Mobile NL rather than T-Mobile UK (though I'd expect to see a message to that effect!).
What is wrong with your WiFi?
Regards,
Dave
My problem with the wifi is that i can't setup security certificates. I read that it become possible from the new firmware.
Someone told me it was possible to install the T-mobile UK version. But then i have to wait until the dutch supported version. Thank you for your response.

I believe that is part of Donut, and not in the current update ROMs. However, if you install a rooted ROM, it is possible that this app may help:

To reiterate - you *MUST* have a rooted ROM in order to use this application.

I've just downloaded and installed the official rom V10H using the LG mobile support tool.
Android ver: 2.2.2
Build date: FEB-23-2011
The phone feels way faster now and boot up needs less time.
Also some problems with USB connection are now corrected and LG PC Suite now works flawlesly with the phone.
Has anybody else installed this rom?
Me (my Light ROM). The only problem I can find is me not being able to play "The Impossible Game". The phone panics and then restarts Tried this with two builds: One Vodafone branded and one unbranded KDZ for Germany.
So yep, I think this is a 2.2.2 problem.
Other than that, it's perfectly fine. So far.
Hey. Is that OPEN EUROPIAN 10H. I wanted to download that one and flash it but on LG site it says forbiden and trough LG Update all i can do is flash 10E German version becaouse my phone is for German market. Is touch Lag fixed on 10h?
No it isn't .
able to root using z4root or other?
I dont think so. This root bug is fixed from 2.2.1
I do the v10h upgrade from the officiallg site, but its unable to make root the phone with superoneclick.
The process stop in a loop of the psneuter component. Can anyone to make the phone root with other way?

The German unbranded version before that was 10a, right? Is it normal for the German firmware to revert to German language everytime you restart the phone? This is highly annoying, I like my phones in English.
"The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update."
version : v10f
where, how i cen get v10h ?
In Italy today we got v10e. I'm wondering if in different countries there are different versions for the same changelog...
Today I also received an update message for version 10H. Currently I am running V10B.
In this topic I read that after the upgrade rooting will not be possible any more. Is that correct? Or are there ways to root the phone, even after the upgrade to V10H? And what about custom roms, can they still be installed after the upgrade to version 10H?
Sorry for my "dumb" questions, I am new to Android, but learning
Anyone knows the changelogs of the differents version?
LG is making a mess..
I have upgraded my p500 to 2.2.2 and it's awesome. Touch became more sensible and responsive. Crash count of LG preloaded applications decreased seamlessly. 2.2.1 from LG was too buggy.

Hi guys
today I upgraded my Optimus One with the new original firmware from LG, 2.2.2.
After 2-3 minutes my telephon gone in emergency mode and now I can't use it any more.
Has someone an idea to solve this problem?
thank you very much
Belated reply, but my suggestion would be to NOT upgrade using LG official software, or any other for that matter.
I experienced a scary problem when I attempted to do my first first firmware upgrade from 10a.

you must disable the lge virtual modem before doing the update.
you can try the link in my signature to re flash the firmware.

Hey all.
First of all let me say that i am new to root/custom rom so what i might type may sound stupid to many of you.
I Rooted my S2 and installed Lite'ning Rom. I didnt really like it cause i am kinda use to Τouch Wiz by now (what do you know) so i tryed to restore the original rom.
Problem is i can't. I Unroot the phone and the flash the stock rom from the site. I now have KIES telling me "this version of device cannot be updated" and current firmware being ΚΕ2 (ΚΟR) and i was KE7 before. I downloaded another firmware from here the europe KE7 but i still get the same message.
So my question is. Since i am obviously doing something stupidly wrong, does anyone know the firmware for the greek version of Galaxy s2? I am kinda stuck between 2 choices. An updattable phone without my native language on keyboard or a non up datable phone with language!!!
Thank you in advance
You didn't need to Un-root to install Stock firmware. You can follow this link, it has all the Stock firmwares.

Thank you for quick reply friend. I found a greek one (Cosmote OXF XWKE2) but while everything else is ok i have a problem. There is no greek language in keyboard. I added greek language and when i swich to greek it turns to english UK. Even when i put the entire ui to greek (i have it to english) the problem still remains. Any thoughs?
Hey guys
I have finally managed to fix my V10 after installing H901 software on my H960A machine. It was a pain in the arse, but now I'm finally back on H960A
However, since installing the stock FW, I haven't got an update. When I check manually, it says the software is up to date, even though it's on 5.1.1.
It's a Switzerland version of the stock software and I'm in Slovakia btw.
Now, the question is: will I eventually get the update, or should I find and install another version of the stock ROM?
Cheers
