Hi everybody,
Presenting status bar icons.
Icons are a bit futuristic, and not very "android style". Maybe someone will like them
Icons have transparent background, and they will work with all themes for SE Eclair roms, but just in Gingerbread Nexus S Edition theme ( by shivenjuneja), and Black HTC Theme (by draco_ag) cases the icons are full compatible. In other themes cases the the battery stat icon will be updated every 10%. This is about the xml files in framework-res.apk. Not every theme is capable to update battery icon every 1%, sorry... Please notify themes authors, maybe they consider updating.

Icons tested on few themes - working good, even the stock SE framework (but please have in mind the note at the start of this post!).
UPDATE:
- added new icons (shot above)
- corrected old icons by 1px (now they are centered)
- added black status bar background as a bonus (separate install)
Tutorial HOW-TO-INSTALL:
- Open framework-res.apk with 7zip
- Select "res" folder from downloaded archive, and drag him to opened 7zip window
- When prompted "Are sure You want to copy...?" select "YES"
- Close 7zip
- Push framework-res.apk to your phone

Please have in mind, that it's the only fast, and safe method. Don't try to update framework-res.apk another way, or You get a bricked phone after pushing file to system folder!
If You aren't sure how to do this please ask. Asking don't cost, and can protect from messing up Your phone!
The safest way to push framework-res.apk to Your phone is using ADB Mask Controller. When You f*ck up Your phone is always a chance to get back with this app. Please be careful, and read everything before You try to install!

nice man .... gud work .... u made them??
Yep, few hours ago. Can't sleep
Nice ^^
Finally something FRESH...
This can be done with stock SE framework? :>
Dzięki
Probably yes. Can't see why not, tho I can't test it.
nice man my fone looks gud now.... mind sharing your launcher pro dock icons??
I release them later today as a big pack. Around 09:00 PM GMT+1.
^^
And it's looking good with stock theme too...
Thanks!
EDIT//
Sorry, it's changing...
EDIT2//
It's changing, but only every 20%... 40, 60, 80 etc... now I've got 74% and it's showing 80%... :>
Now I'm charging my phone to max, and try to reboot a few times...
@lamenomore
Hmm... I think shivenjuneja can tell us more on that issue here. His theme is capable for 0-100% battery info in status bar. Maybe some xml file is responsible for that? The stock SE framework has only couple of battery icons, so it figures why it's a problem. First I thought that is just a matter of files in the framework: 0-10-20-...-100%, or 0-1-2-...-100%, but now I'm confused :/
I think it was just a dumb idea to put this into stock framework...
Well, it's working for sure... but with modded framework...
I'll wait till someone put this into some theme ^^
Really like this icon pack! ^^
Heh, maybe not so dumb Altho stock FW is so f... ugly ^^
It works fine with shivenjuneja's Gingerbread Nexus S Edition theme, I'll test it with other themes, and maybe find out why it's not fully compatible with stock FW. I'm diggin' it's about some xml file, but not sure... Searching xda right now.
EDIT: Got it... testing, and will update.
EDIT2: Not possible to modify in simple way any theme, that it can update battery icon every 1%. The whole thing is about "stat_sys_battery.xml", and "stat_sys_battery_charge.xml". XML files can't be updated via simple drag-n-drop method
Great stuff mate, I dont think its dumb, it looks freaking awesome. Will try it tomorrow thou goin to sleep now lol

Yes, but it can't be done in ease way, like drag-and-drop. So it's basicly disqualifying icons to be moded quick and whitout problems by anyone on any theme
@lamenomore
Send the results when You do that
I wasn't looking long :

Tomorrow I'm gonna play with Your icons in this theme, when I'll back home from work...
Looooking Gooood
And working properly ^^
Thanks again!
Glad it works for You And thanks for the credit!
Honestly?
You need to make Your own theme...
Look at my screenshot...
See the diffrence between Your icons and those from the theme? Yours are more 'sharp'...
Just my 2cents ^^
Well, thx. I must say this... I have many ideas, but theres one problem.
I just don't know how to properly compile framework-res.apk... :/
Decompile - YES
Ideas for theming - hell YES!
Editing - YES
XML's - YES
.9 PNG's - YES
Compile - NO...
Someone would say "learn!", but every tutorial, every tip... I always get error, and finally end up with bricked phone. Tho it's not a problem, but I'm just tired of trying ;/

damn i love this !
looks so great. even that fond is awesome.
but is it possible that you remove that battery icon in the notification bar?
please change font and notification background
Wow this is a very nice theme!
Love the transparancy and it's easy on your eyes.
It could use some small improvements though!
On the screen where you must give your PIN, the backspace button is VERY red.
It's 5 minutes ago but it still burns
Also some buttons are a bit too green, they would fit the theme better if they were a little softer.
One final comment; the numbers on the timer (system app) are pretty hard to read. Not unreadable but it could be better.
Please don't see this post as me flaming your theme! I'm kust telling you how you could improve it imo.
Anyway, thx a lot for this!
Cheers

[UPDATE]
Guys please re-download the theme! it has been updated looks much nicer, now has locks on landscape mode (for pro users, on request from ozzy), the icons are now bearable , that statusbar looks neater, the locks have a nice green glow to them now (before were blue), nice android looking bot in the statusbar (expanded)
I have also added the framework-res.apk alone to the OP for those that want to add their own fonts, boot animations etc but with my theme
Enjoy!

The fonts are called Alex afaik..
Ive updated the theme now.
The battery percentage is much easier to read now.
Tho i think the android man in the expanded notification bar makes the theme a little goofy instead of the 'professional' look it had before.

Hello I wanna show you my work for our legendary gt540
You can see 4 folders (4 types of animations) and 3 files in each folder:
gb_animationsname - version with black menubar
gb_animationsname_white - version with white menubar
Watch animations - lil' preview
Now if black menu versions makes your phone loops or fcs you should install white version. If you would like to know why you can not get black version, my answer is: sorry your ROM does not support edited xml files - unknown reasons.

You have installed ROM via recovery probably, so reinstall via fastboot then try my theme.
I've got bootloops... maybe it's because i use the stock black theme from cyanogenmod setting?
I installed the latest openswift rom via fasboot though.. one note that when i tried to wipe dalvik cache, i've got errors: cant mount bla bla mmcblck (like error when u try to apply app2sd) and then in next line it says (File Exists)... is it supposed to be like this?

Works perfectly. Thanks man n keep up the good work!!!
@m1st3r1 got the same errors it's about 'android.secure' folder from SD, delete manually. But it's not a problem, I've installed ROM via fastboot too.

Just 2 questions. What is the number on the notification bar, next to the 3g signal ?
And it is possible to disable the transition effect between 2 screens ?
Thanks a milion man ^^
1. It's network signal as number, you can off it in CM settings > Initial setup > Status bar and uncheck: Show dBm.
2. Dunno understand.

Sorry for my english in my 2nd question, i am not very good. There is a little screen transition effect, for exemple, when you are on Settings screen, then you go to Sound settings, there is a little effect.
This is bounce I made this theme to show this effect. You can switch off animations in screen settings (but all or nothing).
For me English is the second one either

Dude, how did you get the the CRT animations to work,
im interested in adding it to the Minimal Matte theme.
Is it as simple as swapping one of the .xml files in the \framework-res\res\anim
folder ?
Or is there more work to it ?
dear punkmonkey,
i dont know how to put the animation in the framework. like you...
so i used a lil trick.
i took the framework from the "crt screen off animation" thread. next i took this framework together with my SystemUI into the UOT kitchen and changed the battery & statusbar icons. last thing that i did by my self is changed the background images in the framework and the SemcGeneric.
with this way everything is included and you dont have to know every step your self.
hope you understand...
cause my english is not perfect. ;-)

tried putting both in and it turns on and before slide to unlock it shows 'android.process.com' is not responding, this is just with the framework.res.apk and ._framework.res,this is soo annoying iv tried it atleast 20 times,a detaild tutorial would be very apreciated but iv looked everywhere and they tell me to unlock the bootloader, btw,i have a locked bootloader, also people tell me to put it in a update.zip.

Also include:
-QuickPanelSettings (to change/move the buttons in notification bar)
-CosmicFlow (live wallpaper of xperia s)
-original Android.police.jar and framework.jar
Future update may include:

Yes, but I don´t know why in the "incall screen" doesn´t work the transparency , I think that I need your help jejeje
long list of whining and requesting
list of things that didn't become (and needed to be) transparent:
-Alarm app
-Fm radio
-incoming call screen
-semc music
-in application settings (manage application, running services, storage use)
-timescape (which I think It's very difficult to modify)
Error I encounter :
every time I long press the power button the phone suddenly restart (I think due the framework jar of the previous theme I installed)
request :
-can you change the apps icon to xperia S style like the one made by flamemo (If flamemo doesn't mind)
thats all for now
I hope this will help you
V2 Ready

I dont know how u can say its linuxperia image when its different. ok its kinda simmilar but not the same. take a closer look...
Guys, you are funny. You say that this is a themed LinuXperia, without try. And i don't know why are you say that this is LinuXperia... Just see LinuXperia v7. It's xperiafan's cm7.2 with new theme, and some change. But it isn't a problem, LinuXperia is a good rom too with a lot of user. So be patient.
/Sorry, if my English is bad./
Thanks ati.. Good rom atis.. Just the same wallpaper. LinuXperia Penguin Edition V5.5 WALPAPER... Regards..
Great Job Bro!! i get a comment from my few <stock kernel>customer says your rom is the final and they are waiting for new update when??
Keep up the Nice Work without tired,,and just ignore what ppl buggings on you bro..
anyway,,
You Rock!!
Apologies for bad? Eng
Great work
ya its true every body is copying and creating their own version, this is open source right that you can publish anything you want
this rom is pretty much ok works well in my W8 no stuck issue so guys
even here there are so may roms that i dont even want to try out but out of these, this rom is really great it gives the user a new way of seen it
even the one who has commented before they tried this
plus this is free open source so any one can use others materials
if they really dont like see some one using it just dont publish!
although the wallpaper and the icon that he has used in everywhere makes you little uncomfortable from the other roms that i tried so far for a stock rom this is so much ok with it
i hope at least in the next release that he will use some new wallpapers and remove that name implanting everywhere!

The open source doesn't mean that you can take others hard work as yours, without any permission and giving no credit... please don't misunderstand.

as per request...sorry for my bad english im not that good, fyi im falling asleep when english subject, here is what i feel,i cheer up when i see bootanimatio sony make.believe,im fan of sony,really...the framework is not ugly in my opinion, its untidy,i hope its the right word, because of too much color plus the name of rom that makes it more untidy,i guess you got that idea from your idol & you make me confuse when i try to find cyanogenmod setting, you made me laugh,& last dont idolize linuxperia rom from being super transparent, because i need to focus to status bar to know what i need to click, but the performance is good, fast, smooth & best of all compatible to stock kernel,my request for the next version make it lite,do not put unnecessary apps let the user pick it & quick pic is better than 3d gallery ,that is not warez,a must gallery apps that put in the rom as an alternative,i will use it as my daily rom for now, keep moving forward...goodluck to next version...
PS. Do not make it purple or pink...just kidding...
Edit: icsandwich-bakabon19 is good for theme chooser to install,in my opinion, because it solve the blindness of notification bar...
Quadrant advanced 1.1.6 score :1122,antutu score:1559
Excellent then It's just a suggestion, but in order to avoid further complaints I think just a simple, plain rom that works would be excellent! For example I like to customize everything on my phone according to my tastes (for example I now have a Windows 7 theme that looks nothing like xperia), so I tend to choose roms that have no specific appearance...
I also love the roms that come with special wallpapers for me to choose from (and I change them all the time since I get bored quickly) so I suggest you to make wallpapers and themes, and instead of making the rom looking like it, put them on the theme section or wallpapers section
agree with above. Else what do u think about puting in next version something looks like ICS. I mean ICS setting. I found out that there is a guy actually that made them work for CM&.Here is th e link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526925
