Can I still update to Gingerbread after I installed a custom Rom?
Do i still need to be in the original Rom? cuz I dont have the original anymore
I think that community will bring Ginger earlier than LG, I guess.
cool ok
but can I??
I believe on that one, too. I don't know about LG, but Samsung had a hard time updating 2.1 Eclair to 2.2 Froyo. Hopefully LG brings Ginger much sooner.. Getting excited about this LOL.

If you need it, you can always restore the original rom with kdz updater.

Oh, so you can restore it to the original rom
can you give me a link on how to do it
preferably from this forum cuz it helped me the most
Refer to this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881
It is a guide to reverting to the original firmware. Tried and tested.
After restoring you can use LG Software update program
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mc-support/mobile-phone-support.jsp
But it's always best to restore to an Gigerbread custom ROM directly
Official sucks
On twitter Lg_Italia said that updates to Gingerbread would be released soon =)
And to have a look at lg support website for that update xD
Anyway I think you don't even need original fw to update OTA or via Mobile Updater.
k thx everyone
Cant wait for Gingerbread!

Hello, I tryed to update my phone today from 2.1 to 2.3, but it didn't work. I'm from Holland and the update should be available to people from Holland, I tried contacting my provider (T-Mobile), they said they rolled out the update already for branded phones. So what do i need to do now to update my phone to 2.3? Sorry for my crappy English.

You should flash it with this following link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Bro it probably means update is not out for it region.if u bought this phone in a contract with it service provider then u ll have to wait till they pass this upgrade. Alternatively u can get 2.3 if u root ur phone n update with flash tool to global generic firmware or a custom Rom and then update it will let u get 2.3.. Search how to root first then go to wolfbreak Rom n get 2.3...just search

@Stanzzzz,
I've been to my provider, it's out already for my region and they passed the upgrade.
I'll try that..
@benoitbroza,
What do i have to do after that?
I just flashed it to 2.3, the phone become really slow.. any firm/mod out wich i could use wich is faster then the one from the flash topic?
Im searching for LG P500 froyo 2.2
v10e for india
lg has removed the links for 2.2 version from its update site
and i can only find versions v10b and v10c here in xda
if some1 can provide me download link to the stock 2.2 v10e for "india"
i would be grateful
i replaced my v10e to v20b(the 2.3 upgrade) recently and the new version gingerbread sucks
the battery takes 5-7 hours to charge fully
and drains down in 1 day
whereas it used to last 2 days in the froyo version
Why do t u try Mike rom? Its much better than Indian froyo.
Sent from my A500 using xda premium
uh wont that require me to root my phone?
im still paranoid about rooting it
until my dumb warranty ends
il try custom rom's once Honeycomb is out
i hear it next year?
if u want warranty, u better go back LG services center to ask them flash for u
lg service centre is providing only 2.3 v20B
its a crappy firmware
thats why i want to go back to v10e 2.2

Try this url, I can confirm that it is a working one.
http://www.filefactory.com/file/cd90c25/n/LG_Optimus_One_Indian_stock_2.2.2_build_V10D_00.kdz
Its V10D, not V10E. I'm not even sure there is a V10E. Its froyo 2.2.2.

The Lg mobile update program on my pc gave me a quite interesting notification this morning.
It said that a new software version is available, version 20 H.
I'm very curious to find out what this is about because I'm from Romania and here the official version is 20G.
Maybe, just maybe.....

Hi! I'm using my LG Optimus one for one year and i want to update it to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Now its running Android 2.2.2 Froyo and Software version v10g i tried to update it using the LG mobile support tool which i get from the official lg support page but it says the phone is the latest version. I tried to change my county but again nothing. I don't want to root and install custom ROM on my phone phone because i don't want to loose my garanty (someone canno't uderstand why i don't). Im using T-mobile sim card.
I tried to go to see in Supporting models and my phone is supported and it says the last update is V20g but i canno't install it mine still v10g :crying:
