Hey. My phone got realy slow, so I decided to install i lighter ROM. I installed devoid from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247
It works relay good except for one thing. After i updated i cant find the calendar. I also tried with an other ROM, but the calendar is just not there.
Any tips for how i can get my calendar back??
Atle
They removed the calendar for simplicity, and especially since most people use a custom one rather than android provided stock. The instructions to install the calendar is here. More specifically, check out Post #2 and look for gapps and how to apply them to void. It will automatically install the calendar.

Can you please post a link to where i can find this?
oh ops, forgot the link XD
EDIT: 2nd post look for: void. gapps-module (optional)
Looks like it is the calendar it self that is missing, not the program to show it.
If you're using void, that will install the calendar on the phone. I've never used devoid before but I'm sure you can follow the instructions there to make your own signed zip to flash in custom recovery.

Hello,
This is a thread for all the add-ons for Noejn's void. #forever ROM I have compiled from various sources. If you have any problems or requests regarding add-ons, please post here and keep the DEV forum clean.
I will NOT be making update.zips for applications found on the Android Market.
Original Post:
Add-ons, Theme Chooser, DSP Manager, Live Wallpapers
CyanogenMod Settings:
CM Settings
voidAddonsPack.zip
Contains all the apks given below except Stock Music, Calculator and Sound Recorder. These apps are provided separately below.
Link : voidAddonsPack
apps-addon.zip
This .zip contains FM, Browser and Calendar .apks
You can use 7-Zip to remove any .apk that you don't want and then flash.
Remember Browser needs DownloadProviderUI and Calendar needs Calendar Provider.
stock.zip
This .zip contains Email, Stock Music and Talk .apks
Music.apk shows 'video' icon, but doesn't work. Use Moboplayer. CM7 issue I guess. Music Player is fine.
You can use 7-Zip to remove any .apk that you don't want and then flash.
themechooser.zip
This .zip contains ThemeChooser, ThemeManager, Androidian and Cyanbread .apks
You can use 7-Zip to remove Androidian and Cyanbread themes and flash.
Download any theme .apk for CM7 MDPI devices.
DSPManager.zip and LiveWallpapers.zip
Just adds these two features.
CMSettings.zip
Adds CM Settings to your Settings Menu. It contains a lot of tweaks and hacks to customize your phone.
Calculator.zip
Just the stock calculator.
Link: Calculator
SoundRecorder.zip
SoundRecorder that comes with CM7.
Link: SoundRecorder
Uninstalling:
If you decide, you don't need a feature anymore, just look into the .zip and delete all the .apks from your phone using a Rooted Uninstaller or Titanium Backup. Before uninstalling CMSettings files, flash the attached OriginalSettings.apk
The purpose of void is to provide you with a minimalistic ROM that you can tweak. Don't complain about lack of features because that's how it was intended it to be.
The reason there are multiple zips is so that people can choose what features they want. But, if you want everything all at once, flash the voidAddonsPack.
Remember to reboot between flashes.
Fire away if you have any questions.
Thanks a lot mik and Noejn for your great ROMs.

I've put up the links.
I'm not doing any kind of development. I'm just compiling.
Hmm maybe you're the guy who could help me then... :x because i'm too used to the "stock" music, movie players and the stock Email client!
I tried using the ones from Andy's and Mik's Rom (both the .apk with the .odex file too) and even the GinjaLOL, but no luck! Since i'm really far from being familiar with deodexing and since you're being so helpfull about providing such kind of help, which i am tremendously appreciating, was hoping you could give me a hand with that!
PS: I Tried the email app and doesn't seem to be working :x
I dont mean to rude or anything but, i cant post on the androis developement thread, so im asking here. Im fairly new to roms, void #forever is my 2nd rom actually, void delta being my first. Im having issues with something. I dont know if its the rom or if i just messed up flashing. But almost evrytime i open and interact with an app(thats like 70-80%) of the time, it either lags/hangs or force closes. Ive installed all your add ons except for the live wallpaper one, has ungaze's data to sd. Flashed void add on, and im pretty sure i followed all the steps correctly. Ehat seems to be the problem? do i need to reflash?

Mm. okay. I'll upload stock email, music and movie player soon. I'll try it on my phone first and see if its causing any problems.
@deathlust
I don't think anyone has those kinda problems so its better if you re flash. You have to wipe everything, install ROM first, then void forever addon, then any of the other stuff. Reboot between flashes.
ya do so exactly like its mentioned! 1 thing, i had a sort of FC the first time i accessed the market but after a close app on the app manager and restart... all stars try to reflash and don't haste it! take your time cause you rly have to pay attention to the instructions or you risk to screw something up ^^
Thanks fotlr the fast reply guys. Will try that as soon as i get a hold of a computer.
So.. little update! I Tried that "all in one pack" void-addons and the email app seems to work now! Thanks maybe you could use the same deodexing method you did for the email app, but for the music and movie players?
Thanks once again in advance m8
A little update from me too. stock.zip contains Email, Music and Talk. But did mik's ROM have video player?
Thanks for the help man

I Believe so! MoviePlayer.apk but... let me confirm!
Edit: Ah nope... nope, it's not in Andy's or Mik's Rom it's on the "GingerLOL_1.2" i believe! the file there is the "MoviePlayer.apk" + the .odex
okay. I'll download and try it out. Check back in a couple of hours.
EDIT: Sorry, the .apk from GingerLOL doesn't work well with void. I get a video player in my drawer. But it hangs when I try to use it.
It's cool, i'll stick with Mobo Player then
Once again, thanks for your assistance R2
I´m having problems in installing CMSettings in my phone. It says i need something called LGE-Res.apk inside System/framework.
And with the Void Addon Pack it says the same.

I don't think anyone else has that problem. lge-res.apk handles image files in the status bar. Even mik's ROM doesn't have it and CMSettings works fine. Wipe and Reflash if you really want CMSettings.

I've flashed the following rom on my Tab 10.1 Wifi.

Seems to be running fine but I am missing the Google Play App and ability to associate the tablet with a google account.
I understand that I need to flash google apps separately??
If this is the case, could someone please provide some 'simple' instructions for a newby?
Note. I have Rom Manager installed.
Many thanks
only for some roms u have to download Google apps seperatly and u have to flash ......can u provide the link where u have downloaded the rom ?
This is from MapleSyrup's thread. You need to flash gapps right after flashing the rom.
goo.im/gapps
It gives a handy table on which package to choose.

Thanks for all the responses folks.
All sorted by flashing google apps using Rom Manager.
As a newby I'm amazed and ecstatic that I did not brick my Tab.
I think using this forum is more complicated
I am currently using CSROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846399
Excellent ROM, but when I try to get apps like Maps from the Market it says my phone isn't compatibly.
I have downloaded and installed the apk, but other apps are having the same issue and I would rather of my apps linked to the market for updates etc.
I did not install gapps has Market etc is included in the ROM. Could this be the reason?
Does the gapps zip do more than just install Google applications?
Go back to the ROM's thread and read the last few pages. This has been addressed already. Also make this your standard practice - always go through the thread before asking questions, as it is reasonable to expect others have had the same problem too.

Thank you. I did read back; just wasn't back enough. Thanks again :good:
Hello everyone,
I'm new on the forum, i just started using my i9100 with custom ROMs, i tried CM10 once but i didn't like it so i went back to stock JB.
Now when i saw that KitKat was available i just said "why don't i give it a try", so i installed omniROM 4.4.2. So far so good, but what i really miss from the stock samsung ROM is the peak/off-peak schedule for default email application.
I use my corporate email account with the default email app (company policy), but in omniROM there is no schedule option like in the latest stock rom for my phone.
So i thought, well lets look for another stock rom for a samsung phone that has 4.4.2 and take the Email.apk and move it to mine. So i downloaded the stock S4 ROM 4.4.2 and i see that there is no Email.apk but SecEmail.apk, i tried to use that file but it doesn't work (copied on recovery mode), i know that i'm doing it right because i tried before with other versions trying to fix that exchange "cannot connect" bug of kitkat.
So my question is this: is there a way to get "peak/off-peak schedule" feature? where i can get the Email.apk that will do that? or what is different with that secEmail.apk that it doesn't work?
Thanks, and sorry if someone asked this before, i searched everywere but didn't find an answer, i don't know why people doesn't ask "where that feature go? or how can i get it back in non stock roms", i find it one of the most useful features, in fact the first time i went back to stock from CM10, that was the reason why.

y#eah thre are many apps on playstore for email try them
^+1....the above is good advice, there are loads of email apps on playstore......
But as for installing the stock email app on a CM rom.....it ain't ever gonna work.......
This is because the stock email app is a 'system' app, and sysrem apps need the touchwiz framework to function. This framework is (obviously) excluded from CM roms........
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

Indeed but not so many that correctly works in corporate environment (M$ Exchange). In fact Samsung did quite good job extending his Email.apk with some features that others miss like:
- S/MIME support
- setup of Exchange auto responder (server side)
- folders browser
etc.
BTW can you advice one with such features ?
@bhavstech
so, your first answer gave me point worth to check ...

actuaaly idk wy i told you to do that actually i was a noob at that time stock appk dont work on cm you need to be on stock rom for that, i dont mail much i dont know about email apps on playstore.
Went to a friends house and ended up reading a story for him from a novel ONLY to see the same novel (audiobook) in his and mine youtube's recommended feed.
Got Scared. It's time for MicroG.
So, anyone please head us in the right direction to de-Googlify the stock OREO/PIE rom for the V30 H930
My H930 DS is stock oreo and rooted (with Magisk) by following the exact steps as given in another V30 thread.
A few questions that I am confused of:
1. Is the stock rom deodexed and if not how do I deodex it?
2. Does our stock rom have signature spoofing?
3. Is it possible to install MicroG services in the stock rom?
THANK YOU
You could try installing nanodroid and it should remove your google bloatware.
however I'm not sure stock rom will like this (be ready to recover from twrp), so you might need to go custom. Something like COSP that allows signature spoofing will work.
Hey,
I haven't done this yet myself but am considering on my H932. I've gone back to this guide several times trying to get up the nerve: "https://gitlab.com/Nanolx/NanoDroid/blob/master/README.md#installation-process".
I believe you have to be rooted and I think stock is OK. I'm on COSP and can recommend it if you want to go to a custom Pie ROM. It already supports microg. Only complaint I have (and it's very small) is that it hasn't been updated since 7/8.
Good luck!

Hey buddies, thanks for the tip. A few days has passed and I have been trying various methods to de-google the stock rom.
A heads up that the NanoDroid Install doesn't work (at all) in removing the prepacked google apps. I tried the full installer and it didn't help.
I have however found that there is a gapps-remove.txt in all 'open Gapps' Package downloaded from Opengapps.org. I don't understand how google apps are 'open' as in their name. This is in the text file:

Boldly go my friend! Thanks for pioneering!
I have made a complete tutorial for this, and all is well. Xda flagged my post so I can't post it now. Maybe I need at least 10 posts before it unflags me. Will post soon.
