Hi ..
As I had problems updating with SEUS .. I tried flashing ..
So I downloaded the flashtool and followed "Rendeiros guide" ..
I flashed the .24 firmware with dualtouch(I think) .. Followed the steps alright and came to the last message: "turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging".
Here I removed the USB cable from the computer and tried to start my phone .. It didn't work .. Directly after Sony Ericsson logo comes a picture of a phone with a triangle beside it .. In the triangle is a "!" sign ..
Please help!

I did flash it again now ..
And it seems like it works .. But it's a very slow start I say ..
I flashed with:
X10i Generic
Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.0.2.A.0.24
Is this the latest? Or can I now update via SEUS or PC Companion?

Funny thing is .. Post said it already included dualtouch .. But it doesn't work for me

i flashed a stock SE 2.1 generic ...and changed the BB to 52 ton install CM7 ...but after i shutted down the phone i wouldnt boot and when i try to flash a Stock SE or try to change the BB it always give me error flashing ...aborted no matter what the file is ...i ve searched in all post but i didnt find any answer ...please some help
Edit: there is a guy here in morocco who fixed the probleme by changing battery and flashing a stock rom ...i will ask him to show me how he did ( if he say ok) ...sinse i used every software and flashtool i found in internet whithout success
Did you try flashing a ROM thru SEUS? It will overwrite whatever you have on there

idk i try flashtool whenever i mess up my phone, try redownloading the drivers on your computer and flash the SE firmware with the latest flashtool
i did try ... i unistall the updater and instal it again ...it reconize the phone but programme is frozen is it normal to freeze?
well flashtool should take around 10 mins and less

i just install it and when i plug the phone it reconize it ... but when i try to repair it it just give me an error it said cant download

but my x10 is haveing issues so i tried to repair via SE PC Companion, but the repair function doesnt seem to work, as i get... "An error has occurred and the phone software update was aborted"
and with the SEUS Update i get ... "The installation failed"
ive also tried flashtool, but the flashing of FW 435 fails @ amss_fs.sin stage..
Did i actually end up bricking the phone and have to send it for warranty?

Flash with flashtool 0.2.8 and one stock rom, for example most recent, 2.0.1.b.1, my x10 brick yesterday too, I flash by this way.. regards..

i used flashtool 0.2.91 , and the most recent FW too, the b.1 and still have the same issue @ the amss_fs.sin step
I had this problem once and I fixed it by flashing only the baseband back to the the phone

hmm tried that too, but the amss_fs.sin file is still required on the baseband flash... aigoo~

using a custom Rom before I had the same problem when I use jrepal 7.0.1 Rom when try seus my phone
would get the error and was stocked at se logo

yeah i tried flashtool 0.2.8 and still have same issue with the amss_fs.sin file..
try to flash the kernel.sin only from flashtool 0.2.91
Since today (I just realised it today so maybe since couple of days ago) the repair button doesn't even appair for me in the SEUS.
No repair in my seus. it just say I have newest software.
are SE black listning phones whit custom ROM ?
I have a similar problem, phone just wont turn on. SEUS doesnt give me a repair option. Then flashtool always gives me error and then aborts. And when i leave the battery out for at least 24 hours, then plug charger into phone w/o battery, then put battery in 10mins later, it starts up. goes straight to Xrecovery. Reboot and it turns on. but eventually it just turns off again to the point i cant turn it on again. so frustrating. I really think the phone is done for...

I've broken my Xperia X10 Mini...
I tried to flash it using Flash Tool and firmare E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Sony Ericsson.ftf (I read that it work to E10a to )
And everting looks good, but after the process he can Turn On!!
When I push the power button, my cellphone vibrate, but don't appear anithing...
I tried to reinstall using SEUS but he says that there's no longer update avaible and don't show me any option to "install anyway"
Can anybody help me??
Try to find a way to unplug the battery.
I don´t know what the Xperia looks like inside but on the Mini there is a small rubber thing behind the cover that exposes the battery connection.
Have you tried hard reset?
And then SEUS?
Yeah, I tried to reinstall by SEUS...
I have shutdown the Battery and nothing...
Is that Hard Reset is made by Hardware???
I can't find anything about that...

download Sony Ericsson PC Companion 2.0, open it, and click in support zone, then upgrade phone(i don't know what is written but in portuguese it is ''atualizar telefone'') next click repair phone(i don't know this one too, but in portuguese is ''reparar o telefone'')and then just follow the instructions in the screen

I tried this steps but it doesn't work!!
The SEUS says me that "It allready updated" and don't show me any option to reinstall the software...
And the PC Companion 2.0, in the repair screen, after update his database, is returns me a error: "PC Companion Error: Can not install or start the components of phone update"

im actually facing 100% similar problem after flashing 2.1.1.a.0.6 rom.....and nothing appears after.... so what generic rom u used? and please write the steps for me..... i tried installing "Sony Ericsson X10i_2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897.ftf" but it gives error while flashing on start...process aborted... because i think the previous rom (2.1.1.a.0.6) was successfully installed... in the end it says to turn on phone and turn on option of debugging but the phone u know wont turn on...!! please help with ur experience

SEUS did not work?
Hi can someone please help!!
I have a xperia x10i to cut a long story short i lost the firmware and everytime i try to flash a new one it wont work, flashtool says its done but when i turn phone on after it flashes SE then a warning triange and phone and then restarts again and again and so on. the phone is not rooted. iv tried the official roms 1.6 2.1 and 2.2 but they wont go on. iv tryed using SEUS and companion but it keeps saying failed. im really confused
any help would be great thank you

Its "soft-brick" state.
Didnt you have some problems with usb before?
If not, try to charge up your phone once again.

usb and everything was fine before i started messing around the firmware.
battery was fine and when i was flashing the roms the green light was on and the computer recognised the phone OK so did flash tool. is there anyway of getting the phone into a fastboot mode so i can use the dos fastboot??

Even if phone shows up error triangle you should be able to use standart flash mode.
About fastboot dont know, never used it.

Thanks both for your help, in the end i downloaded the lastest version of flash tool and its got a option of disable verification and worked spot on.
only problem now is rooting. iv looked everywhere and they all say use flashtool
but i can get the other buttons to show up but the root button wont and of course u cant flash cwm with out root. im running 2.3.3
any help would be great thanks

No problem, it could be done, but not so simply. I did rooting and xrecovery installation without Flashtool many times since Flashtool werent possible torun on Linux
Root could be done with exploit zergRush; but try SuperOneClick first. It will take some time root it completely manual.
Same with xrecovery, but its much more simple, pasting three or four files to root FS.
Try superoneclick first, if it wont help, will provide more step by step information.
EDIT:
Simpliest solution - almost forgotten
Download the zip provided underthis post.
Extract the zip file.
Connect your phone to computer (remember, that USB debugging must be on!!!)
Run file runme.bat (command line window will appear).
Enjoy !

RELAX first.
You will have to flash the stock SE firmware is by using the X10 Flashtool i .e. get your phone to stock and then root it again.

super one click and doom both say failed(cannot connect to deamon) adb drivers are properly installed and windows reconised phone bit the rooting programs wont. its starting to piss me off.

do you have USB debugging and unknown sources turned on your phone? Because its really strange why adb cant connect.
What ROM and kernel you are currently running on?
@dello what does ur pc say when u type adb devices?

running the official rom and kernal that the SEUS installed running 2.3.3
and yes debugging mode and allow are both on but still says cannot connect to deamon, could it be the boot loader? i put ICS on a xperia play and did that fine, do i need to unlock the bootloader like i did with the play?
i did try to but the se website wont unlock it
and ADB in dos wont pick it up list empty

recently my friend got x10 which he updated to 2.3.3 and tried to root it..... he failed to root n now the phone gets stucked at SE logo. I have tried many methods but none of them has worked when I try to enter flash mode a green led lights up but I can't flash stock rom from flashtool whichgives an error enable USB debugging which I can't do cuz phone isn't booting!!!
Flash it with seus (Sony ericsson update service) or sus ( sony update service)
I thin sus is the newest one

Flash it through Flashtool. My x10 is also bricked, even flash mode isn't working. But I'm sure this would work for your phone as my phone condition is different from yours.
maybe lack of suitable drivers
