Did you encountered any problems? Anything doesn't work? Or whatever else? I'm using Herm for business and basically prefer not to risk change one buggy ROM on another? I heard on wwe/swe versions that besides "it works faster" there were some new bugs?
It would be great if someone can share his new rus ROM experience summary to everyone here. Thanks in advance.

BlackBerry Connect does not work. All other things are fine so far since yesterday.
depends on what business you're in
more problems were solved than created for me, business use mainly.
1) no WPA2
2) frozen incoming call (muted) notification. The "incoming call" window just stayed there on top of everything else AFTER the other party hang up. Happened only once.
Some problems with the AKU
1. A2DP does not work propelly - it has drops
2. Dial-up networking does not exist anymore which is extrimly bed surprise as i am travel a lot and use one for laptop communication with office.
The rest is Ok so far
this ROM work faster in comparison RUS ROM 1.18.261.1?
Sharing my first experience on new AKU3 RUS ROM (comparison to Russian official ROM, dated summer 2006, never reflashed before)... (I used this instruction for flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293085 and i didn't flashed GSM update).
1) It works faster. I never measured, but subjectively it's like 5-15%, and basically on my device it was not like a general speed increase, and rather like this: any delay if it occurs, seems to be smaller - for example I use several programs sitting in memory and I use SPB Diary today plugin, on I switched to its tabs for the first time I got a delay for a second. Now it's more like a half of a second. But it's not a 50% increase of cause - less. And on the other side - I noticed that sometimes delays increased: on startup I have to wait a bit longer for a security code window become active since it's drawn on the screen. As before I could type my pin right after, no I have to wait for a second or two.
2) It works stable for me. in general ok, no problems or complaint as a result of one days usage: SPB P+, SPB Diary, SPB Time, SPB Weather, PExcel, Outlook (Pop3, MS Exchange), SMS, Internet via GPRS, BT headset (but i don't use voicedial), USB ActiveSync- all work fine with no problems. What is o/s which I'm going to test soon: wifi, ICQ, Skype.
The only problem I faced - i don't know the reason, but I have a bug with time setting, when was coming through a first time reboot and extrom execution. I started device after flashing for the first time, was passing through customization and at the time I was setting my clock (I set it, selected timezone, pressed ok or "äàëåå") ExtRom execution started and I was no able to do anything else. Then it finished, my device rebooted and my time was 12 hours forward (e.g. 1PM instead of 1AM). And when I tried to correct this (correct time by 12 hours back) - all my meetings and events mooved and for ex. Birthday that was set to 01MAR was shown on 28FEB )). So I was confused by this. So I had to delete all PIM data, and reconnect it to my outlook once again making full synchro.
That's my experience so far. If you have any ideas on running a test program to measure productivity - you're welcome. We can do it.

With ACU3.3 A2DP skipping issue is solved for me. No more skippings.
But there is a big sound distortion at high frequrency.
So the sound is still not good.
Hi! It`s still unclarified for me, do I HAVE to do all the steps written in the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293085 thread? My device is HTC-branded and hasn`t been CID-unlocked and flashed (QTEK_A07, bootloader 1.04, ROM version 1.18.261.1). Can I just flash the update or it won`t work? Is it final ACU3.3 update for russian devices or just a beta/test release? Thanks!

Mainly problems with battery appears because of too frequent mail/location updates don't forget to set manual update and battery leak will decrease and also the major factor of huge consumption of battery is microsd cards, if you have this issue, try to replace card with different one.
nice to see a dedicated thread for this ROM so we all can identify areas where it
needs to be improved, and areas to be fixed.

My battery problem is not because of these things, i changed my SD card, apply everywhere manual update etc..
When my radio is off, my battery drainage is very good, but when the radio is on..
Don't say change to 2.12, I already try but it's the same.
I think high consumption is not normal, even for a WP7.
I know that you lowered the volume but now its very hard to hear in-call volume.

Mate, you should read other threads
easy to obtain the activation code. This is what I did.
Go to microsoft website, and write email to them and tell them you need activation code to activate windows live. Within half day, they will send you email containing the code

Mine did that the first time too. Try restarting your computer, taking the battery out of your phone for a few minutes, then trying it all again. Worked for me.

For me that script didn't work at all, and the thread it links to with what it was trying to script gets a lock about 10% of the time, but isn't useable for me if I use it while moving(primary use is driving). II followed instructions to the letter, and tried everything else I can think of(I'm a pretty advanced user). So I totally understand anyone who still posts asking this, it is the only reason I don't fully embrace cm7 based roms.

Okay Let's starts it.
Here are some informations and news about CM7 and MIUI for streak.
First I'm not good at English so some sentences were broke and I don't know I can write down what I want to said.
When I find that both ROMs were on xda, I announce it to hPa, developer who ports CM7/MIUI for streak and HeffyEnd who translate MIUI into Korean and add some patches.
they posted some article at Korea's dell streak user community and HeffyEnd show a way to use the MIUI into English. HeffyEnd tries to write about that at xda but he didn't write a post or thread at xda yet so I posts it.
First, hPa says he will upload and posts some informations and datas at xda's Streak Forum.
He says he will upload data about CM7 and MIUI's development and also how to change Streak's frame late into 55Hz. He will comes to this forum so if someone want to ask something, ask to him.
and he also say he didn't know how exactly he active a 2.4Ghz at Streak. He didn't tries to fool the developers and users, he didn't know the what's the problem of this fake clock(or useless 2.4Ghz… well I don't know to what to call this happening) problem so he just guesses about it.
He says his CM7 uses different clock rule after 988MHz, so He guesses the two tables which able to over clock to 1.4Ghz and 2.4Ghz are actually shows the same result without clock rate they show it.
and Korean user Deltaman tries a test on CM7 and figure our that the effect of over clock decrease after 1267Mhz. Aututu score increased when he increase the clock after 1267Mhz but effect was decrease. and result of 1806/2208/2476MHz is almost same(3216/3352/3351 point).
I say once again. "He didn't tried to fool others. It just a accident or something like that."
by the way, He hopes that xda's developers will make improve versions bases of his develop result. Yes, he hopes it.
Second, HeffyEnd says that there is a way to use the English version of MIUI.
There is a two MIUI rom. One is released by hPa and the other one is translated and modified by HeffyEnd. At the xda's link, I think It's the HeffyEnds.
HeffyEnds rom is optimized to Korean not for other country's so it's hard to use it outside Korea so use the hPa's MIUI instead.

At this link, you can download a original hPa's MIUI. Download this ROM and modify it's build.prop file.
When you open the build.prop file, you can see the text like below

ro.product.locale.region=KR
change ko and KR into en and EN so both line will change like these

ro.product.locale.region=EN
save it and install it. HeffyEnd says to use this way, you can use the English version of MIUI.
by the way, this ROM is customized to Korean's phone number system so… It doesn't fit to other country's one. I mean some phone number at address book could be looks odd.
and I need to add some information about MIUI.
This MIUI ROM needs some times to stable after installation. After you install and reboot it. Do not touch streak about 5~10min to Rom will takes stable. I recommend 15min for safety.
If you uses phone without this rest time or try to use too fast, This rom show some errors. When I tried to use little bit hurry, I failed to add my google account at MIUI. So I reinstalled it and take a 15mins breaks, It works fine.
There is a more things you need to before you uses MIUI.
- Goes setting->My Location->Automatic Assisted GPS to OFF. If you don't do it. GPS didn't works well.
- Run superuser application and turn off the root. push the setting button on streak to call a menu and select a setting. At there you see the Root permission control, Turn off and turn it on again. After that, reboot.
- At the home screen, push device's menu button -> goes to home setting -> turn off and on the high quality and shadow.
and finally, I don't exactly know about that, MIUI has a problem when you using the titanium backup's full recovery mode(data and apps), So don't use it or partly recover what you needs. In my opinion, I recommend you to re setting datas manually.
In contrast, MIUI recovery works fine.
and last... I want to say about other ROM develop tries at Korea. I don't know those developer like to announce it but this is a common information at Korea so it thinks it doesn't make an problem.
- Three developers were tries to make a CM9. They has a their own version of CM9 test rom. I don't know now they uses hPa's data but they were trying to make it.
- The other ROM developer calls lonkey12 ,who makes a ROM calls LICS MOD(It does not released on XDA), tries to port CM7. It's the different to hPa's try. There is a some rumor that he tries to port CM9, but I failed to check it's true.
- There is a one more developer tries to develop custom ROM for Streak. NeCoritol who makes a NeCoroiD ROM(You can see his name and his rom at xda wiki but not uploaded here) tries somethings. I don't know what exactly he makes but he tries something.

Ive been on the CM7 rom, and can say its the best rom available.. though the battery drain is worse but i dont use my streak as a phone.

Developer is now requiring that you go and register in his forum and accumulate at least 15 posts just so that you have access to the download link. I'm not sure this is the smartest way to make a forum happen, but what do I know! And Google is your friend.

I no longer have this ROM installed, but if you mean whether this is louder, the answer is no (in my opinion). It just gives you finer regulation of volume. In-call volume is still 1-10, but it can be changed with tweaks in Bazaar.

Care to share why you no longer have this ROM installed?
I've been using Rainbow 1.3 and now have just upgraded to v1.4 the other day - but was thinking of using Lumiatrix v4.3 (given that I've already decided to take the hit of an upgrade) as it seems like it has more tweaks built-in, but I'm interested in knowing why you decided otherwise.

I no longer have this ROM installed, but if you mean whether this is louder, the answer is no (in my opinion). It just gives you finer regulation of volume. In-call volume is still 1-10, but it can be changed with tweaks in Bazaar.

I've been using Rainbow 1.3 and now have just upgraded to v1.4 the other day - but was thinking of using Lumiatrix v4.3 (given that I've already decided to take the hit of an upgrade) as it seems like it has more tweaks built-in, but I'm interested in knowing why you decided otherwise.

Which more tweaks exactly? It's actually the other way around. And the reason I went with Rainbow is exactly that. The Lumiatrix developer (who happens to be the OP of this thread) went from sharing v4.1 and v4.2 of his ROM publicly (which is what awesome developers do on XDA) to requiring you to not just sign up on his forum to get v4.3, but also have at least 15 posts (I think it used to be 10) in order to see the download link (which you can easily find by just googling), only because he wants to make his forum "happen."
Wanna hear more? He PM'ed me on here, asked if I wanted to be a developer for Lumiatrix, that I needed no experience and that all I needed to do was sign up on his forum, PM a user (which turned out to be himself) and that I would get access to the forum with the tools and tutorials needed. I did my part and got a response from him saying he would teach me (what happened to tutorials and tools?) but that I needed enough posts. As soon as I questioned his motives behind this approach, he stopped responding.
In my very humble opinion, he's really going about it the wrong way, which is why I jumped ship and haven't looked back.

By the way, up until the developer went this way with v4.3, I was partial to this ROM, which this thread where I'm asking where the ROM thread went one time it got deleted from XDA will show you. It also explains the reasons this happened.
