(31stJan2011) Release 2.2.2 (cabs attached, Theme-able Version Rev2.2.2)
Welcome to the RSS Tab Release Thread.
This latest release of the RSSTab is now available.
Please read the Install instructions carefully and if you have problems feel free to post general questions on this thread, or visit the developer thread if you require more detailed support. Please don't be scared to ask a question or make a comment, it all helps everyone on here.
There is a user manual available in the wiki page, so if in doubt have a read of that.
NOTE:
Like most RSS Readers, the software will open up data connections to download related images.
Please ensure you are aware of your data connection settings to avoid data charges from your carrier.
The installation, the use &/or miss-use of this software is at your own risk.
This software is provided as is & without liability.
Reverse engineering or modification of the binaries is prohibited.
By downloading/using this software you accept these terms, regardless of if you choose to read them or not.
Introducing the RSSTab

What can it do?
The tab uses any RSS Feeds which are present in RSSHub, so you MUST have set them up and updated them to see any data.
Once setup, the tab will display your list of feeds directly in sense and allow you to view the list of items in the feed and then you can view a particular item and/or play a previously downloaded podcast file (video etc).
The tab is still under-development, which means I am actively improving it and adding new features all the time (see the developer thread for details), I shall also post BETA versions on that thread.
Presently, the tab will not change anything in your RSSHub files, so an unread item will stay unread and your files will not be harmed (the tab will only create some thumbnails etc in sub directories of the Channel Data folder). The exception to this is if you have donated and received a donate code, then you are able to disable the read only mode (which is experimental).

The main problem is simply time, all coding takes lots of it and sense coding even more so.
Obviously donations help greatly, be it donations of time to help with installation issues, testing and translations OR motivational money donations (be it $1 or $10). -[I am currently saving up for something to help me with development]-
It all provides a boost which will drive me to work further on the project and shows me that the project is a worthwhile use of my time. So thanks to all below!

No problem.
Let get the basics out of the way...1st I'll assume you have no feeds showing at all.
1st ensure you have followed the instructions in the user manual:
1st Run or Reset To Channel List
I've updated the instructions slightly, since the screenshot was out of date.
Hopefully that should fix your problem, otherwise, please let me know. Also if you post the RssUtilDebug.xml file from the RSSUtil directory, that will hopefully tell me where the issue is.
If it is a specific RSS Feed you are having problems with then post it's details and I can test it independently.
BTW I always monitor both the dev and release threads.

Unfortunately, I appear to be clearing the debug file too often (was trying to keep it small...). Can you do it again after pressing "List", this will attempt to load the channels (list of RSS Feeds) in to the tab.
You should see entries, with "generate_channellist()" in.
Sorry, I'll try to make sure the debug file is cleared correctly in the next version.

No worries shall get it working one way or another.
Do you by any chance have your rss feeds organised without any categories within RSSHub? My current release has a bug where if they are not in a category they don't show up (it is something I've finally managed to fix and test in my development version). I introduced the error when I added the ability to filter the feeds by category.
If that is the case, try putting them in a category. Fingers crossed that will solve it.
The debug file above supports this, since it is reading the channel file ok but not finding any feeds.
Thank you for your patience.
Problem solved

Thanks Meltwater. Problem solved. Your suggestion of putting the feeds into a category worked. Now all my feeds display correctly in RSS Tab.

Hi meltwater !
I'm translating the language file for this tab but I haven't understand some phrases
"Control how the tab functions"
"Device donation key"
Could you reformulate them in a clever way ?

No Problem:
"Control how the tab functions" is the description label for the settings section "Tab Settings", at the moment it is for switching on and off the fixed header, selecting the viewing method and CSS file. Basically a section which controls how the tab behaves or looks.
"Device donation key" - This is the label for the text box which displays a unique code or serial number. It is called a donation key, since I also consider people spending time creating themes, doing testing, translating files as people donating/giving their time as a valid donation to the project. This gives me a method to say thank you by enabling beta features etc.
Hopefully that explains those for you.
Thanks everyone for voting in the thread poll, it definitely is useful information.
Features is clearly a want of people (I can understand that, it is why I am coding it myself since I want features too!). The dev version is coming on well and I should have some of the key/important features to release in the next version.
Those of you which have posted you couldn't get it to install correctly, I have a question for you...why haven't you asked for help?
If you want to try the tab and you are having problems then please ask and I will/or someone else will be able to help. The thread is always open, you are welcome to post on this thread or in the dev thread (if you are able), both are monitored.
--------------------
I also have a poll on the dev thread (I don't think the 10 post limit applies to polls so it is open for all).
The question:
What would you like my time and development focus to be?
Yes, the poll is open for two weeks (ends 23rd March 2011) and I'd be interested to know your thoughts.
-----------------------
Finally...I've updated the development progress here (http://rsstab.codeplex.com/discussions/229811).
-----------------------
I've also released an Unofficial podcast for XdaTv, if you haven't watched then I suggest you do.
Just watched two this morning, via the RSSTab.

Hi Everyone,

MWC2 (Marshall WaitCursor 2) is an application that lets you replace the default Windows Mobile WaitCursor. It is not a way to skin the existing one, but it offers a new concept of wait cursors.
New features in MWC2.2:
Possibility to loop to a non-first frame (like in gif animations)
Start the animation from where it stopped or always from the beginning
Possibility to refer to an already loaded frame without reloading the image
Example:
frame=1.png
frame=2.png
frame=*frame1
frame=*frame2
frame=*frame2
frame=*frame2
frame=*frame1
Specify the duration for each frame
Cursor file extension changed from .mwc to .mwc2
Minor BUGs fixed
TODO list: Third post

_______________________
MWC2 is a WaitCursor application for Windows Mobile. You can make your own
WaitCursors using png files with Alpha Transparent Channel. So you can make cursors
of any shape you like and also semi-transparent ones.
Read carefully the License before installing or using this Software.
_______________________
1. INSTALLATION
- Place the cab into any folder of your device
- Execute it
- Choose the installation folder
- Launch the application from Start\Programs\MWC2\MWC2
2. UNINSTALL
- IMPORTANT: Unload the application using MWCUnload
- Remove the program from "Remove Programs" in the System Settings
3. WHAT'S IN THE PACKAGE
- AquaBlob\ [ AquaBlob cursor folder ]
- AquaSwirl\ [ AquaSwirl cursor folder ]
- Danger\ [ Danger cursor folder ]
- AquaBlob Graphite\ [ AquaBlob Graphite cursor folder ]
- BlueGlass\ [ BlueGlass cursor folder ]
- Swirl\ [ Swirl cursor folder ]
- Butterfly\ [ Butterfly cursor folder ]
- Crystal\ [ Crystal cursor folder ]
- Tux\ [ Tux cursor folder ]
- MWC2.exe [ Main program that loads the WaitCursor ]
- MWCUnload.exe [ Program Unloader ]
- MWCConfig.exe [ MWC2 Configuration ]
- MWC2.dll [ Main program library ]
- Readme.txt [ This Readme file ]
- License.txt [ Program License ]
4. HOW TO CHANGE THE CURSOR
- Launch Start\Programs\MWC2\MWCConfig
- Change the settings you want
- Click on Save
5. HOW TO MAKE A CUSTOM WAITCURSOR
- Make one png file for each frame of the animation
(avoid different resolutions for the frames)
- Make a conf.mwc file following the outline of an already existing .mwc file.
Expecially you can configure:
- nFrames: the number of frames
- xPosition and yPosition: the position where to draw the frames
- frameInterval: the interval between each frame (in milliseconds)
- startDelay: initial delay to wait before showing the cursor
- frame: each frame making the animation
Read the comments in .mwc files for more configuration details
- Put the .png files and the conf.mwc file in a folder naming it with the name of the skin
6. FAQs
1. Why I can't see any WaitCursor when MWC is executed?
-> MWC tries to replace the Windows Mobile default wait cursor but it is not always possible.
Depending on the device, memory, and other parameters, MWC2 may not be able to load succesfully.
Unload MWC2 (using MWCUnload), wait a couple of minutes and then try again (launcing MWC2) or
soft-reset your device.
2. When I boot my device, I get this error: "Error locating process"
-> It may happen if MWC2 is loaded too early. Try increasing the Boot Delay in MWCConfig.
7. CREDITS
- The first person I want to thank is my girlfriend, Mary.
Then I have to thank Herojit from MSDNForums
and last but not least, a very special thank to Chris McKay from Lakeridge Software.
You can advertise my program to anyone you want but you can't post the binaries
out my Website. My Website must be the only place where to download this program.
For any particular use, ask me by email or through my website.

Awesome work! I have been using the Vista Cursor and gotta say, it's one of those things you have to put on your PPC for that personal touch. Thanks!
Great release..
Nice!

but when I try to execute the CAB file and after I choose "Device Memory" as an installation target I get this message :

It depends on the cursor you use. With the Tux WaitCursor it takes 73 KBs in my device. Anyway you can check it with a task manager.
@azzambm: Can you try a soft reset and then reinstall? You can also try to download it again.

Nice App. Thanks
Nice program. I used the V1 with the HTC Touch wait cursor... Switch to this one with the glass. Nice.
Thanks
Error locating process
Installs just fine, but when I run MWC2 i get "Error locating process" every time. I changed to Boot delay to 5, 10 and 30, i get "Error locating process" every time. This even comes up every time I run MWCUnload. The Config seems to work and remember which cursor I set.
This seems to be the exact same thing that happened with MWC (ver 1)
I'm using a Tmobile Wing with stock ROM.

Exchange Active Sync
Hi dioxda2!
Great work, looks very promising!
Tried Gollums touchflo and found that your build has the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2708723&postcount=31http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430916&page=4
Returns 0x85010013 when doing sync, provisioning step and 0x80070005 (access denied) according to the ProvisionLog.
It fails on these:
[F] DisableRemovableStorage 0x80070005
[F] DisableCamera 0x80070005
[F] AllowUnsignedApplications 0x80070005
[F] UnsignedCABAccessRole 0x80070005
[F] DisableWiFi 0x80070005
[F] AllowTextMessaging 0x80070005
[F] AllowPOPIMAPEmail 0x80070005
[F] DisableBluetooth 0x80070005
[F] DisableIrDA 0x80070005
[F] RAPI 0x80070005
For example the DisableCamera I guess can be translated with:
<wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="Camera">
<parm name="Disable" value="0"/>
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>
Which works great over RAPI but I think EAS uses the SECROLE_ENTERPRISE role.
I will try to dig into it some more but have limited time.
Have you seen similar problems before?
Thanks again for all your hard work!

Hey.... are you using Linux to remote control your prophet?
or other communication for or replace the activecsync?
or??
I did normal activesync working seamlessly.....

please state more detail about your problems,
eg.
which step?
what way?
which process?
.....
Thanks
dear dioxda2;
does this rom have these two bugs http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431283 ?
btw, thanks for the rom
Hi!
Thanks for the quick reply.
No, used rapiconfig for trying out the wap-provisioning (through a usb connected ActiveSync)
But the problem I posted about is when using Active Sync (against an Microsoft Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1), DirectPush/Exchange Active Sync, in order to get mail, contacts, calendar and tasks wireless. During the configuration of the device the Exchange server presents a policy that is applied on the device. During this provisioning there are certain items that fails.
There are more details in the link I posted before.
I've noticed the same thing with some Universal builds that are greater than 20xxx. Don't know what module the function "lives" in. I'll try to check if the security roles for SECROLE_ENTERPRISE is correct.
Hope I made some sense?

Great, I did use the OWA (outlook Web Access) to have my job done....
may be you can have a look ? ( just may be useful.. )
http://searchexchange.techtarget.com/generic/0,295582,sid43_gci1307859,00.html
I use OWA to, great when sitting infront of a big screen and keyboard.
I've worked as a dev with Exchange for some time and I used to have control over the Exchange Active Sync policy that was sent out to the devices but haven't anymore.
Didn't understand the "Customizing OWA" link though?
Cheers!

this is the Programs tab i ported from the Qilin Manila 2.6 (Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0) for use on Manila 2.5.
it is separate from the home tab quick links and has landscape support.

Requirements:
Sense 2.5 (tested on Core build 2012)
StartIconLoader package
Known Issues:
there is no option in the Settings tab to enable/disable the Programs tab. for now, it must be done manually via registry.
Installation:
the ext packages must be cooked into a rom. there are no cab files yet, although manual installation is possible.
the following must be added to manila.xml (26948339_manila). the number in red must be changed accordingly.
Code:
<Page Order="[COLOR="Red"]14[/COLOR]" Name="programs.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="[[IDS_PROGRAMS]]">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\Programs\programlauncher.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_Off"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_On"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_Preview"/>
</Page>
the zip includes ext packages for wvga as well as ported vga files. these are meant for cooks.
when cooking for a vga device, both packages must be used. the vga package is meant to overwrite files in the wvga package during rom building.
also included are optional qtc files to make it look closer to the home screen quick links.

sorry on the q'
but how i cange the file?
with what prog i open dll files?

Thanks! A great add to the existing Manila 2.5!
For users wondering, the files in "optional" are image files and must be added to your ext package to make the programs tab look as it does in the screenshot on the right.
I worked with kimi_sae_ireba and re-did those image files to mimic the Sense 2.5 Home Tab as closely as I could to make the Programs Tab look like it was meant to be there.

They're actually not DLL files although they may appear as such in Windows Explorer on your PC. They're actually _manila files. There is no file extension.

^^Second this. Notepad 2 is a lifesaver when editing HTC's XML files. They have a nasty habbit of making them virtually un-readable and Notepad 2 makes it 100 times easier.

a cab file will come, but it still requires you to modify manila.xml since not everyone will be using the same tabs and ordering. manual registry importing will also be required to get it to show up in the settings tab.
Hi kimi_sae_ireba,
Thanks for the new tab Ones a time, I try to make this tab to work with Sense 2.5 2012, but not success But you did
Many thanks for your sharing

someone asked me that, so i thought i'd post it here as well.
the quickest way would be to make a cab out of it and then manually edit manila.xml (26948339_manila).
to do it manually the long way, follow these steps:
import all registry entries from app.reg in \00_Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0_for_2.5
copy all _manila files in \00_Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0_for_2.5\files to \Windows
copy Programs_Pages.xml in \00_Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0_for_2.5\files to \Windows\ManilaXml
copy the language file for your device in \00_Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0_for_2.5\0XXX\files to \Windows
if you're using a VGA device, copy all _manila files in \01_Manila_Programs_2.6.19192728.0_for_2.5_VGA\files to \Windows
edit manila.xml (26948339_manila) in \Windows by adding the following:
Code:
<Page Order="[COLOR="Red"]14[/COLOR]" Name="programs.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="[[IDS_PROGRAMS]]">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\Programs\programlauncher.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_Off"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_On"/>
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Manila\icons.mode9" Component="Programs_Preview"/>
</Page>
this goes after your last tab (i'm assuming it's the settings tab). the number in red must be changed accordingly (eg. if the last tab is the settings tab and its number is 10, you change the number in red to 11).
delete the file ManilaFull.xml in \Windows
restart manila
Thank you for your quick response,but I am a total n00b when it comes to this stuff.
If someone manages to make a cab out of this please post it here or PM me.
Awesome work by the way.
Even when following these instructions, I still get stuck at the Starting HTC Sense loop.
Please help!!!
Here is a cab.
This is for ENGLIGH WVGA only.
You will still have to manually edit the 26948339_manila file and delete the ManilaFull.xml file manually.
Even though, I still cannot get this to work I hope it works for somebody.
I get stuck in the "Starting HTC Sense" loop and I have no idea why.

manila.xml (26948339_manila) must be saved as unicode. manila won't be able to read it in non-unicode format.
i attached 2 cabs i made (wwe only). since every rom is different, manila.xml isn't included. you'll have to manually edit that yourself.

your manila.xml isn't in unicode. use a different editor (like textpad) to edit it properly. i modified yours and attached it below.

In & Out Things v1.10 FINAL : A simple Menu which lets you control your lend and borrowed things
<<< 'In & Out Things v1.10 FINAL' #post on modaco >>>
awesome
Hi,
I think it's great you're working on this program (have posted in the other thread before). Will edit this post in the future with my custom start-menu
p.s.
I've maked a menu that reads the index of a folder (all the *.LNK) and shows them.
Easily to make an beautifull list with games or internet favorites for example
<menu title='' debug='no' quitlabel='Quit' >
<text label='<<< Back to menu <<<' run='\Program Files\JMLMenuSense\menu\menu.xmu' quit='no'/>
<files updateid='%LANG%' filter='%STORAGECARD%\LNK\*.lnk' show='[0,50]' center='no' run='%STORAGECARD%\LNK\%SHOW%' quit='no'/>
</menu>
or
<menu title='' debug='no' quitlabel='Quit' >
<text label='<<< back to menu <<<' run='\Program Files\JMLMenuSense\menu\menu.xmu' quit='no'/>
<files updateid='%LANG%' filter='%WINDOWS%\Start Menu\Programs\Games\*.lnk' show='[0,50]' center='no' run='%WINDOWS%\Start Menu\Programs\Games\%SHOW%' quit='yes'/>
</menu>
I don't know exactly (yet) if this is the best way, but it works like a charm
EDIT: thanks for the example dude, its working but cant get an icon for each game?
@JMHL
glad you made this thread for us, i would of made my own thread just for this but seen as its your app i figured ill respect that its yours and ask you to create a new thread just for .xmu examles.
ps, thanks for the PM, im on it!
@ALL

omg i hate it when people upload things to a differant website and you must register just to download.
what bugs me the most is: why do people do this, seriously?
if your gona share on xda then at least upload to xda. think!
(thanks for the download/work though it is honestly appreciated)
if you are not registeded to modaco, which i think some users here wont be.
(xda is the only site some people need for their device) then i have posted a username and pass.
this will let you log on onto modaco and download the files uploaded by Freezy1982

Username = a19074

in future can we please upload to xda if you are going to share.
(or at least to a download site, eg megaupload, 4shared etc etc)
thanks

*if the Username and Password do not work, private message me and ill send you another
@Freezy1982 : As #Post3 ? Ok ? And i'll add .zip file to download if you are OK.

good work, ill use some of your work in my rom.
i did do my own settings/control panel page but if i combined mine with your it would look cool.
ill upload a copy when i have finished it, also ill need to edit it as my control panel has settings to edit my rom today screen. (almost complete btw)
thanks

yeah, regestering to other site takes the p*ss, however it isnt a problem if you can upload them here too, for those of us that cba with regestering, of course
usually if i have to register i just close the link, but seen as i realy like this app i used my resources to get a username and pass without regestering
(wana know how PM me, works woth most websites)
*FYI im only gona use your icons, the rest of my control panel is ok, if you have any other icons like the ones you have in your "stuff" folder, please upload them... here!
ill also upload my icons here too when i upload my control panel, mainly for the fact that you will need them
thanks

EDIT:
need same style icons for the following:
Calendar
Device Info
Gsensor
Microphone
Start Up
Touch Flo
Xt9
Advanced Network
Internet Sharing
Quick Gps
Wifi Sharing
*obviously i will be looking for these myself but help would be appreciated

hi dude, could you tell me where you got your icons from?
having trouble finding the same type/style for the other programs, eg calender etc
ive got the 3d version of the icons but i prefer the ones you used
if i cant find them then ill be forced to use the 3d icons
when i get the icons i need, my control panel will be complete the next day and avaliable for download (beta of course )
obviously the version im making for my rom will be better because it is being made specificly for my rom (extras + programs list)
thanks
Rn
@ raving_nanza: I got them from a member and a good friend of MoDaCo called sakisds. He extracted them from WM6.1 and polished them up "a little bit"... So I don't know, if there are all Icons you need for your menu...
I attached the hole folder I got from him as a .zip... Maybe it helps you...

not ready yet, but will do!
FYI - not all the control panel items are not included in my control panel, merely for the point that you dont need half the crap inside the control panel, just the good stuff
to do:
*have a redbull
*add new icons
Rn
nearly all icons are done
SOME ICONS NEED CHANGING!
screenshots removed

Nice Menu with nice Options!
Keep up your work!

update
been scouting for new icons, there will be a few minor changes, eg icon size.. and i have also decided i CBA doing two versions, eg one for my rom and one for other people to use on theirs..
its too much work to do both because i have a deadline to get my new rom update uploaded by the end of the week.
ill just upload the one im making for my rom = people will need to edit the ControlPanelRn.xmu and delete any icons they dont want.
it makes life easier for me that way
if anyone can think of some registry edits i can put in the registry folder coz its a bit bare atm then ill put them in asap.
i was thinking about putting in the fonts and font sizes too so people can change them easily
(ok you can change them by labling them tahoma etc and putting them in the windows folder but it would be cool to have the option to change to a differant font wthout running additional programs = +memory )
ill probably upload the beta today, as per usual if you find any bugs or icons that dont look right, let me know and ill change them.
thanks
Rn
For chefs ONLY !
Thats the reason I put it here, if that's wrong, please tell me and move to the correct forum.

This neat little app/package is intended to include in your ROM while building.
It will enable you to add important information about your ROM and credits.
It consists of a XAP, a Data folder with information and images and also an rgu that you have to customize for your particular ROM.
More information about the customization in the next posts.
Changelog
1.0.0.0 - 2012-03-30
- First public release.
1.1.0.0 - 2012-04-22
- Selected values are editable through list, text or slider.
Features I'm working on
- Letting the cooker add their own PanoramaItems by defining them in the ROMData.xml
Preparing for use in ROM !
Here you'll find information about how to prepare the XAP and the other files for your ROM.
The XAP contains a folder named Data that contains the ROMData.xml and images that are connected to the different entries in the ROMData.xml. More information about how to edit the ROMData.xml in the next post.
Edit the ROMData.xml and the RGU, and add some images (if used) to the Data folder in the XAP.
When you've edited the XAP and the RGU you HAVE to update the DSM so it reflects the changes. I recommend you to use OsBuilder by Barin and Ultrashot to do this.
Now the package is ready to be included in your ROM
ROMData.xml
Information about the ROMData.xml file and what you're able to do with it.
The ROMData.xml contains all information and/or registry paths to the information shown in the app.
The BEST way to get to understand this is by looking at the original ROMData.xml supplied in the unmodified XAP.
It is also attached to this post if you don't have the original.
To edit the description shown in the settingslist you change the <description> element. It could also be a registry path, preferably to a value defined in the RGU. As an example:
<description>{HKLM\RomAbout\Description}</description>
And here's the syntax for an item element:
<item image="[/Data/[NAME_OF_IMAGE]]" title="[NAME_OR_REGISTRY_PATH]" info="[TEXT_OR_REGISTRY_PATH]" other="[TEXT_OR_REGISTRY_PATH]" editable="[false/list/text/slider]" reqreboot="[true/false]" />
An example of an item without options could be something like this:
<item image="/Data/defIcon.jpg" title="{HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\OemDeviceName}" info="The OEM name of this device" other="{HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\OemName}" editable="false" reqreboot="false" />
An example of an item with options could be something like this:
<item image="/Data/defIcon.jpg" title="{HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\OemDeviceName}" info="The OEM name of this device" other="{HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\OemName}" editable="text" reqreboot="false">
<option title="Please enter your desired OEM name" path="HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\OemName" description="The OEM name affects which OEM market you can access, f.ex HTC gives you access to HTC's market" value="HTC"/>
</item>
When using a registry path, the hive is ALWAYS shortened down !
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE = HKLM
HKEY_CURRENT_USER = HKCU
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT = HKCR
HKEY_USERS = HKU
The RGU
Information about the RGU included in the package.
The RGU contains some registry values that you could use in the ROMData.xml.
You really should edit these values and maybe add some of your own.
The examples are all stored in HKLM\RomAbout but you could specify your own path, just make sure you use the same paths in ROMData.xml.
The default values in the RGU are just examples. You could name them to whatever you want, just point to them in the ROMData.xml.

There will soon be an update (that won't require updated files if you won't use the new features) that allows the user to edit values, either by manually inputting a string or selecting a value from a listbox. That's up to the cooker
Just have a bit of a problem with the XML parsing for some reason
Cool app... will include in the next release of my custom Rom. Thanks man.
Thanks
any news about Version 2 with easier info editing?
nice work
It's going good, but it could take about a week to have the options thing working I guess. Got some minor issues with it at the moment.

Izaac
Done some progress with the editing. Will probably upload a new version soon that enables editing values by selecting from list, entering text or from a slider for the numeric values. Already done with the list options, and almost done with the text also.

looking forward for it...keep up the good work
Just uploaded the new version and edited all the posts
I'm feeling a bit done with this project as it fullfills my personal needs, but I will keep on doing some work and improvements on it.
Feel free to ask for new features that I could implement.
I'd love to add a list with ROMs that features this app to the first post, so please either post or PM me a link to your thread and I'll link it here
EDIT: I'm going to update it for WP 7.8 and add LiveTiles support, for small, medium and large tiles. What information would you guys like to see on the tiles?
Regards
Izaac
