Contacts, call log, sms gone - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi,
Today I was calling someone, after the call I found all of my contacts, smses n call log no longer exists. Wat the hell??
For some reason I deleted all of my contacts from sim...now I am no where.
I restarted the ph but nothing happened..
Even I had one app for backup (named back up everything)...while I was trying to restore, it showed -there is nothing to restore
Is There Any Way I can get everything back..and where the hell these things gone ?????

No more SMS

Hi,
since a couple of days my XDA's SMS function is not working anymore. It will not receive nor send SMS messages.
I have checked the SMS-C number and contacted Telfort. The number is correct and Telfort says "no problem".
Anybody around here with a bright idea?
Francois
Not a particularly bright idea but are you sure that you are composing your txts in the SMS inbox, not the Activesync one?
Just covering the basics
Also note, if you have used software like PocketBackup to restore your data then it corrupts your Inbox folder settings irreparably. A hard reset is needed in this case.
Otherwise it sounds like a problem with your Radio Stack.

No restore
I did a hard reset about a week ago, I'm not sure is this is the time when trouble started.
I have not used a backup to restore the file setting, however I did use the "restore connection settings" from the SD-backup tool.
Think I'm gonna make antother backup tonight and do a hard reset, check if SMS works, then do a restore and see what happens.

SMS breaks after a restore?

I've got a strange issue. I can not receive SMS. If I do a hard reset, SMS works fine. But, after I restore my settings from Sprite's restore, I stop receiving sms.
I am *not* restoring the registry, just my normal databases, My Documents, and my inbox.
Any ideas?
My next try is to not restore my inbox . . . wish me luck.

[Q] call history/log

hello, i got my hd2 about 2 months ago and 2 days ago i notice the call log or history stop storing numbers when got full.
this is normal?
do i have a setting to erase older call when new one are made or received?
if there is no setting for that, is an app out there that can do it or ill have to erase my call history every now and then?
if call records are "full", new calls should automatically push away the oldest call records...if that is not happening, something is weirdly wrong.
try using pimbackup to backup all your call records, and then restore the call history with pimbackup with the "Delete all existing call records" CHECKED. see if that fixes things up.
To delete call history:
People,All people,Call history (all),Menu,Delete,Menu,Select all,Done

[Q] Strange SMS BUG. Please Help.

Hello,
I have a problem. My phone randomly rebooted today and when I go back into the phone all my recent messages have been deleted and only old messages (from a couple days ago) show up. I have Handcent installed and deleted it. When I turn off and on my phone, Handcent reappears and again only my old messages appear. Can someone please help. I don't know why Handcent keeps restoring. I am not rooted either in case it matters.
Thank You
Do you have delete old messages in either the stock messaging or Handcent app?
It is a setting you can turn off, I think its on by default.
No I have that off. The strange part is that the Handcent app keeps restoring after I restart the phone. I just want it off my phone without having to wipe the whole phone.

[Q] SMS and Call log not updating?

Struggling with a recent problem.
Using omega 43.3... I've no idea if that is the problem or not, but can't remember it happening before that (was omega 30ish before)
When I receive an SMS (using Handcent as default), the notification shows and if I click on it, it takes me to the Handcent threaded screen. However, if I then close that and it opens the default window (with all the contacts sms listed) it isn't there. If I then close Handcent, and then reopen it, it is?!
The same thing is happening with Call Log... Missed calls etc aren't showing when I access them from the dropdown menu... unless I then close the Call Log app and then go back into it.
I've tried various kernels and modems, and also tried reinstalling handcent, wiping cache/dalvic, fixing permissions etc. Nothing seems to make a difference. Currently on stock modem and kernel

Sorted it. Installed Ultimarom.
call log, messages, viber... not showing new events
I had this problem on JB 4.3 stock samsung sm-n7505 and after zillion read pages about it and rebooting and removing battery and sim and after I deleted entire contact list (by mistake) it turned out that it was the most idiotic problem you can ever think of.
While was in the tight pocket phone unlocked somehow(using pattern) and simply unchecked box (which is deep in the menu) "use network provided time/date" and date was set to a date 5 days earlier. So, all logs and messages were actually in the phone(I could see them in notifications and could send messages and calls), only I did not see them because they were back in the list in the place of 5 days ago. I just checked the damn box and everything was normal again(except my contact list (( ) Crazy. Hope my small contribution will help somebody. Rock on!!!! :good:
