Yep you need to update this included flash app with the one on the market.

It's an upgrade to the software that is already in your phone

if you don't want to upgrade, what you already have on your phone will work fine.

Hi, guy & girls
i am wanting to root my X10i and then install the gingerbread system on my phone, i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of which method to use when rooting as i know there are a few tools out there for rooting, (easy as possible really)
Thank You, any help will taken on board..
Just look up flashtool on android development as it's probably the easiest method. If not then try superoneclick.
i have done superoneclick and the superuser app had appeared on my phone, how do i go about installing gingerbread?

Yes, but you must install busybox with flashtool, then install xrecovery from the xrecovery thread. Have you used flashtool before?
Then read about a gingerbread ROMS thread to install the ROM through xrecovery.
If you have trouble, I will post links when I get to a computer tomorrow.

I have an x10i that was an x10a(Not really sure what my phone is now), im running "Eclair Bitsnacker.com v2.6, BB 2.1.54, KV 2.6.29, Buuild number 2.1A,0.435"
Do anyone know how to update to 2.3? I want to run the CM7.
The link on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=927140, the MT enabler is dead and so as the gb_alpha_0008 is dead.
Use the GB by J from here
Just unpack the file, flash the baseband then flash the rom.

And before installing ROM wipe everything in xRecovery.
Thanks! I'll see if I can get my X10 to run this CM7! Hoping nothing goes wrong. Oh! and one more, how do you flash the rom after I flash the x10?

just FYI, your phone will always be X10a, it doesn't matter if it says X10i or x, it's whatever the Dev wrote. I changed mine to say 'denenatse' :-D

Well the title says it all, whats the difference on having the offcial GB rom,and then root it,and having the pre-rooted GB rom.
BTW,i have the pre-rooted one, with no bugs and the newest xrec for GB
thanks

i have this market on my ex-spica from july, but on OO works great.
I think the new market sucks. Its way slower on our optimus one than the old one and has no benefits.

The new android market is great, but it takes too much time to load, so I uninstalled the update, and now I'm back with version 2.1.2. Is there any way to get the version in between? Also any way to disable market from updating itself to the latest version? Thanks!
