anybody has problems with usb tethering or wifi with wpa/psk?
to me it tells that usb is not connected....and it reboots if i try to use wifi tethering with wpa/psk
For usb you have to have dell streak usb modem drivers installed...
Get those from streakdroid.com..
you have to have debugging enabled.
works great for me!
Where do you see those USB modem drivers?

Hello

Wifi tethering working nice but on usb tether my pc cant find the drivers i need.
I have the official LG drivers but when I enable USB tethering on my optimus Windows says that an unidentified device is connected.
I want to connect my android phone (Android 5.1) to a router using usb cable for internet connectivity.
1. Do I need to set up reverse tethering on the phone? Are there commands on terminal emulator to activate reverse tethering?
2. Is there anything I have to do with the router, or just plug in the usb data cable?
3. If I am connecting a usb modem to the router, can I use a usb hub to connect both the modem and the phone to the single usb port on the router? Will this work?
I am not using a PC, just the android device and router.
Hi people, I'm having issue that's driving me mad. With USB debugging turned off, USB to PC connection works fine, I can tether, access my files and all that. If I try to connect with USB debugging enabled however, the USB connection just fails over and over again leading to hundreds of auto play popups on my pc and the "du dun" sound playing every second. I've tried removing all the drivers and reinstalling them to no avail.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? PC is running Win 7 x64 ultimate, phone is on latest official firmware. Thanks.
Have you tried SPflashtool?
I have an android device with OTG support, the problem is when I connect a flash drive its okay, works fine, but when I connect my android phone it just charges the phone and cannot access its storage, even when I set the USB mode as MTP or PTP. Both is with USB debugging enabled and USB mode as MTP.
Have you any idea why this happening? I heard about it that it could be a kernel limitation, since the kernel recognize any usb device attached as USB flash drive, it'll try to mount but without success when connecting with others android devices.
