Is there a way to adjust/theme/mod the lockscreen on the gtab? I am running VEGAn 5.1.1.

i've been wanting to change the lock screen as well... something that doesn't have the "silent mode" option right across the unlock icon because the lock screen makes it look like my phone and all the other android froyo running phones. will be keeping an eye on this thread!
I haven't tried it on the GTab but I had Lock 2.0 on my phone:

WidgetLocker does seem to work pretty good on my Gtab. Haven't had it loaded for more than a day so I can't comment on stability but so far it seems to be working fine.
the newest update for widget locker added theme support. check out some themes here:

I recently installed the Liberty Rom and for the most part I love it. Ive been using the OEM build with some minor metamorph tweaks since I upgraded from the OG Droid. One thing that bugs me about the Liberty Rom is the lock screen. Yea yea i know the lockscreen....
What im curious about is if i can install the OEM pattern lock screen and the OEM sliding lock screen back into this rom? The one it currently has is the older style screen and its not as polished looking. Also it only allows you to have either a lock or the slide lock screen not both like the OEM does.
Ive done a ton of searching and found that some one ported the OEM D2/X lockscreen to what i beleive was the incrediable but that was several months ago with no updates and that was about it.

Can you show a screenshot of what you are asking?
I'm using Liberty Gingerbread .9 on my Droid 2 & I use the great app
WidgetLocker, which allows you to use sliders & customize multiple sliders w/WL Actions, Apps, & Shortcuts & I have six custom sliders that allow access to loads of stuff I need right on bootup.
You can do a lot, see the settings. It is well worth it.

I used to be on liberty until the dev just stopped updating. The last version I was able to apply themes to was 2.0.1 (froyo kernel). If you would like to theme, I suggest trying the older version. Personally, I found MIUI a MUCH easier ROM to theme, especially given the quality of their theme library.

Download widget locker from market it has a variety of lockscreens and extras.
Mod the lockscreen without root? Nah... you root access to replace system files.

if you are not rooted, most probably you will see two lockscreens.
anyway, lockscreen alternatives are; widgetlocker, lockbot, lockit etc......
Does anyone know how to replace the standard lockscreen on a rooted stock 2.2?
I have Widget Locker but now and again the original screen pops up and it can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

in my opinion, the reason you see 2 lockscreens is because of android system 5 second rule. any lockscreen other than stock one, will have to wait 5 to initialize. however, in widget locker you can bypass this rule. turn on home helper option in behaviour, and make sure 5 sec bypass is checked. if it is unchecked, check it.

This is an issue with htc sense roms. on aosp roms like cm6 or cm7, the original lock never shows up with the 5 second root bypass rule activated.
Try Lockbot Pro..it has a variety of Lock screens to choose from like Eclair style, iPhone, Froyo etc....it shows up only one lock screen though..and you ve an option to unlock the screen using any hardware button not just power button, nifty feature
For not visualizer 2 lockscreen you must use no lock

I'd recommend giving Milocker a try. It basically ports all off MIUI's lock screens to any other phone, and I've seen home created Blur lock screens in there that look pretty damn good.

CM comes with a couple different lock screen options included. Have you changed them in menu>settings>cyanogenmod settings> somewhere in one of the options (sorry, don't run CM so I don't know the exact path )?
Id check out the ones that are already integrated into the rom before installing a 3rd party lockscreen. The installable options aren't terrible but I've experienced consistency issues while testing and some don't play well with security set on the phone.
Regarding if moto lock screen can run on that rom in short, no. The lock screen isn't just an apk that can be pushed, and if it were I could guarantee there would be a dependency on the framework. That's how HTC used to keep people from jacking their lock screen back in the day. Now its all integrated tightly into the framework (or was it systemui now?) so you could design a theme for your lock screen that's moto inspired if you felt like playing with some apks and pngs. The Motorola lock screen isn't a far departure from being a themed stock lock so really there would be no smali work involved. Plug and play images, flash, change some more, flash .... repeat until happy.
I think youll be extremely happy with Widget Locker and CM7 together. Thats the combo i ran on my Evo before i got my Mopho. You can turn off the lock screen in CM7,and just run WL. Seamless!

I flashed the Adrenaline 2.0 ROM after rooting recently (went through all the standard procedures like wiping), partly for the AOSP screen lock. It works and all, but the "AOSP Screen Lock" app in the app drawer, which I'm guessing is to customize the lock screen, doesn't work. When I try to open it, it just dumps me back into the app drawer with just a brief black flash (as if it was trying to load, then failed). No error messages.
I'd really like to customize the 4 apps that can be launched from the lock screen, and also check why it's not displaying Google Play Music controls when I'm playing music. Does anyone know a fix, or perhaps a way to re-flash just the AOSP 5 point lock screen?
I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the app that is in the app drawer is just used to "redraw" the AOSP lockscreen if it glitches out. Also, I don't think you can customize the apps that are on the lock screen, I'm pretty sure that ZHP pilot has to customize that for you and then you reflash it the lockscreen app again. Look in the thread for NeoMax or Adrenaline threads in the dev section.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. I guess the lock screen isn't the panacea I was hoping it to be. Seems that even the Google Play Music lock screen controls can't work. A shame. Though I'm not sure it's supposed to be showing black instead of my wallpaper so often...

widget locker
Widget locker is a good option, but it doesn't work properly with S3.
Many small issues which make it unusable for me.
1) If you wake your phone withing 5 secs, you'll see an annoying toast notification.
2) It can be easily unlocked using Home button, unlike the stock one.
3) If you have a rooted device, point 2 can be overcome. However then if you are in home screen (tried with Nova) and you press Home button again you'll see a small refresh of launcher. This is because of the workaround.
So I would advice you to not buy it.

i bought his app but there doesent seem to be any customazitation for the stock JB lockscreen available ... only for the ICS one
