can't understand what do U want. actually what version of firmware do U want? 1.6 or 2.1? if 2.1 so just update through SEUS compation.
Use repair function in SEUS
note: all data will be wiped from your device.

Just repair with seus. That will give you latest fw.

im currently on 2.1, repair doesnt give me the correct stock-ware, my point is trying to make it back to 1.6a, then using SEUS to update it to 2.1, which make the phone have the original update...
thanks
If you want the latest stock rom, a repair in SEUS will give you exactly that. No need to pass by 1.6xxxx.
By yor device serial number, the repair procedure will give you the latest kit for your device / provider / country.
What do you have after the repair?
it said no updates availeble, but my operator had 2.1 already, but im not on it, i flashed it to 2.1 before stock's firmware comes out..
seus repair wont give anything=.=

Try flashing 2.1 over again with flashtool.
That will delete all data and rooting status.
Keep posting if you need help.
Have you used flashtool before?
yes... i tried every single things with my phone (2.2-2.3)
i used to flash a lot but then i decided with the original firmware is the best
but i also having problems with other version..

My guess to your problem is that you had the wrong baseband for the 2.2/2.3 ROM you were running. Rooting shouldn't cause a reboot in your phone.
but this is from stock version.... how could it be wrong @@

flash it from samfirmware n ull get ur warranty back....
Hi, I've just gotten my galaxy ace for 3 days. I updated my fone to gingerbread using S5830XXKPE and odin from samfirmware. It's been restarting/shutting down by itself after the update so I wanted to downgrade to froyo again but I tried downloading and flashing a lot of other versions but, no luck. It hangs and stays at the "Galaxy ace" part of the boot and doesn't open. But whenever I flash it back to S5830XXKPE, it opens and works but I think it is bugged and I really cannot downgrade to other firmwares. Is anyone else having the same problem??? Help please >_<
Update:
I've successfully flashed it with S5830XXKPB but still its GB 2.3.3, I still can't flash it with froyo 2.2.1 firmwares. help pretty pleaseeeee...
Download a multipackage 2.2.1 firmware, one that when you unzip it will have several files. You probably flashed a single package .tar that caused the brick.
A single package update contains only some files to be replaced over the original 2.2 firmware and is not the full rom so you'll have to flash a multi package then update to your desired single package.
XDA ♥
Thanks for replying. Actually I'm using odin multidownloader 4.38 and yes, I did use the multipack not a single .tar.
Here are the list of firmware I've downloaded and used to flash my phone but unsuccessful all attempts: (and some firmware I've deleted because of anger lol) )
S5830XXJLC
S5830XXKA7
S5830XWKB7
S5830XXKC1
and now these two are the ones that boot up when I flash on my phone: (both GB)
S5830XXKPE
S5830XXKPB
I did successfully downgrade from 2.3.4 to 2.2.1 though. I believe the firmware from Samfirmware.com will have labelled "MULTI-CSC" or something like it.. I can't check now it's midnight here and sleeping time...
XDA ♥
okay, I'll try that too. Imma download 2.3.4 from samfirmwares then try downgrading to froyo. I'll tell ya how it goes. (crosses fingers) )
Successfully flashed to 2.3.4 but downgrading...no luck. What could be the problem...ohhhh maaaannnn!!! >_<

It was I'm ly after rooting that i had the restart issue and only when titanium backup was using super user access. After upgrading super user in the market everything was fine after that - v2.3.4 running sweet now.

Successfully downgrade my gingerbread to froyo, although it is not the stock rom i guess..thanks to the poster.
You could still update by flashing to the new one from the older multi-package.

Hey!
Just install the CodeRom, like the TUTORIAL says(install first XXKPH) and so on. You can ALWAYS flash back to STOCK(xxkc1) firmware, with ODIN. Tutorials here to flash:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
Dont worry, if you FLASH stock like XXKC1, it revert back to ORIGINAL XXKC1
CHEERS!

reverting back to xxkc1 will not
help in warranty. u will have to flash back to your region's firmware. I think there is no firmware available for your region on the internet (xx is for european region, don't know about yours)

There is your ASIAN FIRMWARE to download(..DXKC1):http://hotfile.com/dl/115777717/fa0f409/S5830DXKC1_OLBKC1_DXKC1.rar.html.
If this not helping, you can try them ALL,to revert in to STOCK. Here is link(you must be registered to see download links):http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-s5830.htm
CHEERS!
You'll have to go for a multi-package from 2.3 to 2.2 or the phone won't start. Just sayin'
my phone shows pda: jpkc2 phone: jpkc1 csc:jpkc1 (pak)
does it mean for warranty claim i have to flash back s5830jpkc2 from samfirmware.com and what about country (pak) as it shows..... will it be corrected or it is sim network based???

yes, you have to show that you have stock firmware, and unrooted. and don't tell em you did all those flashing and rooting in your SGA. It is region based, so no problem there. and remember your apn settings.

thanks. apn settings?? you mean network edge/gprs settings

Hi,
Kies doesn't know what firmware my phone, how can I solve this problem without having to root the phone or change roms?
Thanks
Rooting is not required to change ROMs.
The most important thing is, what ROM have you on your phone?
If you have a ROM that is not a standard ROM (stock or branded) then Kies will not recognise it.
Its a stock rom.
Something got messed up with the last update, and since then kies won't recgonize the firmware..
What should I do then?
By the way, the new update is 2.3.4?
thanks
If something got messed up, then reflash the ROM you can use Odin and use the stock ROM in the ROM Developers section.
maybe an older version of Kies might help..try searching the forum cause yesterday the same topic as your asking came up and few suggested rolling back the Kies version...new one is having problems i heard
dont know if this help you but worth a try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285544
Will reflashing the rom delete all the phone's data?
Thank you both

if your talking about apps and stuff i cant remember to be honest cause i rarely use odin but i think it does a complete wipe so i say yes you will lose data..
but as the guy above said try reflashing a stock rom and once your back up and running we can take the next step...
word of advice...2.3.5 officially has not been released in the UK..if i did not root i would be only updated to 2.3.4 the last few weeks...i do all my updating through custom roms or even by Intratech thread were he has all the latest releases..Kies for me is a no goes anymore....
so do your reading and if you ever need any hand send me a message and if i can help i will
thank you

You welcome.
i remember when i tried to change kernels from CF-root thread i could not get kies to recognize it...so tried to find the one that matched the closest and region i am and bam it worked..updated my firmware through kies and that was the end of it...but if you use a kernel to root and try and to update it through kies you lose your root...so my advice find a kernel that matches your firmware then by all means go ahead root and try flashing roms...you can always go back on stock if you want...
but do your reading and like i said you want a hand if i can i will help you
Why kies doesnt recognize my firmware
Yesterday i flashed my SGSII with I9100XWKI8 2.3.5 firmware, before that i had I9100XXKH3 2.3.4. Both Firmwares are European i believe. In both cases my Kies do not recognize it.
i installed the stock firmware no root at all
Is it because i live in South America?

No its because you changed product codes and other info on the phone .Nothing now matches an update on the Kies server .

P.s. Is there a way to fix it?
Hi, I'm new here, so sorry for my question.
I just update my firmware with kies the root disappeared. I've got my phone rooted from the stock. Now I want to update to 2.3.5 and I need to root again, but I can't find the insecure kernel I9100BVKH1 to root. Can someone help me what to do so I can root my phone? And if I update to 2.3.5 (now I have 2.3.3) kies won't recognize the new firmware? Thanks!
