hi guys i just updated my galaxy s3 from ICS to JB today but now i am unable to connect to the internet correctly (i am using the 2G net (it do show that "E" sign) . My guess is that i bought my phone from UAE and now i am in India ,might be modem problem . any fix
It could be a modem problem

i flashed Omega 4.2.2 rom on my i9300 but no mobile network. however, I flashed the same omega rom before and it could connect to mobile network!
my phone is hong kong version. I tried to flash back to official 4.1.2 but the problem is still there.
I've tick the "mobile data" button and check the settings of APN, all things done but still no mobile network.....
Please anyone can help me solve the problem? does the baseband not match with the network service provider or is EFS damaged?
This happened to me once. I had to call my mobile network operator and they sent message to set up mobile data.
I don't think not matching baseband is a cause of this problem. I hope this help you

Check your IMEI number ....

I’m using a custom rom from here based on XXEMH1 (4.1.2) (Pardus HD Rom 4.1.2 FINAL).
Odd as it may sound but I rarely use 3G for internet use.
I’ve discovered that it is not connecting and under the phone status it states: Roaming = not roaming, Mobile network state = disconnected.
However, roaming is on and the APN settings are correct for T-Mobile UK.
I was going restore the phone to a stock ROM but I am beginning to think it could be caused by a CSC / modem issue?
I apologise in advance if this has been posted and my old brain can’t find a link
I’ve search the forum and I have found a link to downloadable CSC’s for odin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198512)
But the link is dead to the CSC files is dead?
IMEI is correct, phone is connecting to the T-Mobile / EE network and there are no other issues.
If anyone has a solution before returning to stock ROM I would appreciate it.

First thing is to return to full stock with CSC and modem for the UK, too many variables else.
hey guys , i just bought a s6 edge used , G925F , with matched imei box , it had lollipop firmware on it , 5.1 , and it worked perfectly with all networks in my country (pakistan) , now that i upgraded it to marshmallow with BTU firmware (G925FXXU3DPBG/BTU ) , it has stopped registering on any network , it can detect all networks , IMEI is intact and not changed a bit , but is constantly on emergency calls only , i tried reflashing ,resetting , and setting it on only 2G mode , but nothing worked , any idea how to make it work ?
Note : My country is pakistan and the firmware i flashed along with csc and cp and Ap is of BTU region , does that make a difference ?

Use samsung Smart Swtich Mate! To restore It To Factory Default give it a try ur device may get fixed Best Of luck
@osman34 why use smart switch ? it is used for transferring data right ? how can it help in mobile network issue ?

u didnt know about smart swtich there is feature that downloads frimware from samsung and restores it
like itunes
it fixes most of issues with phones
Look up on google about restore with smart switch
@osman34 keeping in mind , that all networks are detected fine , but registration is an issue , it is a firmware defect ? oh and did i mention ? my nano sim isnt even detectable on any old Samsung or even Nokia device , Edge detects it but doesnt register -__-

You sure you used the right firmware? Didn't put 925f firmware on a 925i or something?

Have you put your phone into download mode?

Follow this guide. Maybe give us the info from saminfo app from the app store to help us determine the model you have.
