where i can find Portuguese layout?

srry i want to post in big threads

I need the spanish layout... any idea of what should i need to change? I tried editing system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl but modified keys doesn't work anymore... any idea?
Thanks to all the xda collective!

I have had the same problem, but i was in the need of the swedish keyboard. I have managed it by changing the keyprint-xml to the original (swedish) one.
.. system/usr/Keyboard-config/keyprint.xml
Try to change this file to the original spanish one. It needs to have permissions 644 after the change.
Alternativly you can edit the file and change the following line in the file:
<script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-en" /> to <script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-br" />

Could anyone tell me step by step how to change the keyboard layout? Since yesterday my phone use the english keyboard layout and I don't know how to fix it.

I don´t like AEKmap, it brings lag to the keyboard - at least it did so with my Samsung i780. I was going to flash my swedish Touch Pro but it seems like it is best to wait untill someone gets this issue fixed

GingerDX V21 mini pro - qwerty => qwertz [Solved]

Hello,
I don't have access to the appropriate ROM thread. That's why I post here.
I upgraded from V17 to V21 recently and my last little bug that I can't resolve is the keyboard layout.
I also had this problem in V17 but I successfully used "mini Rom Manager" to change the layout.
Now in V21, mini Rom Manager (5.2) says my phone is not recognized.
Phone: U20i (now named mimmi. Reason for not beeing recognized ?)
ROM: GingerDX V.21
Kernel: ZombiePanic 1.63
Thanks for your help.
Tim
you can try KeyboardChanger
URL:

Great,
Did not see that app despite numerous searches.
Thanks sttugut for your help and madbulls for his app.

Um, it says to use Default Input, but there is no such input at all in GingerDX v21... How did you managed to do it properly?
The keyboard changer is a nice tool but how does it work my layout xml file is set right but when i change with this app it gives me one of the three specific swedish caracters, and the symbol button doesn't work. How should a keyprint.xml file be to work. I just wounder becuse it doesnt matters what i do it doesn't work. Sorry to hijack the tread but i can't post where i want to post this problem.

You can download the default keyboard in the first page of thread. Look at the extra modules for the line mentioning :"Optional for default keyboard".
Flash the file like if it's a rom (recovery mode) and you'll get the default keyboard (Stock keyboard).

hi there,
i have a big problem. i installed gingerDX v21. all worked fine with that. my only problem is, that i can't find a way to change the keyboard layout from qwerty to qwertz. i tried every possibility. in my keyprint.xml it's right said and also in my settings available to choose but it doesn't work. i tried the keyboard changer program, i tried to edit the .xml by my own and i also replaced the keyboard.xml with one i found here. i don't know what i can do else. any ideas? (it's available to choose german and qwertz in settings but it doesn't work in messages or whatsapp or anything else)
my keyprint.xml looks like:
keyprint name: QWERTZ
-->
<keyprint>
<script name="arabic"
keylayout="arabic"/>
<script name="cyrillic"
keylayout="cyrillic"/>
same with greek and hebrew and the last:
<script name="latin"
keylayout="qwertz"/>
</keyprint>
i solved this problem by using the .apk file. another unsolved question is how to get the german umlaute back? before i could press the butten down right and then o,a,u and got ö,ä,ü. is there any possibility to get this for gingerdx v21?

[SOLVED] SE Xperia X10 mini pro with GingerDX v21b - "Sym" key not working properly

[SOLVED] SE Xperia X10 mini pro with GingerDX v21b - "Sym" key not working properly
I've looked for a solution o a similar question, but i think there isn't another post about this issue. It's my first post about a problem I can't solve, although I have used this ROM since version v009 (good job, devs!), because I fixed all other problems (e.g. keybord lights and notification leds) thanks to questions sent by others o tips found on forum.
This time, upgrading from a previous version of GingerDX for SE Xperia X10 mini pro (I think v013) to the newest v21b, the "Sym" key (that one on the right) doesn't work properly, but it just do the same action of the blue key on the left, whereas the "Sym" key should show the symbols menu on screen or the alternative characters (holding down the "Sym" key and typing a letter). I don't remember if this problem affected the previous versions, but I'm unable to solve it now. I tried to wipe cache and Davlik cache (in addition to factory reset) before re-flashing the ROM and I tried also to switch between the two keybords (Android and HTC) which are pre-installed, but nothing happens and the behaviour of the phisical keybord is the same, with no change.
Could anybody help me to solve my problem? I like this ROM so much so I don't want to change.
Thanks in advance and thanks a lot to the developers who worked on this ROM
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English.
I usually disable the 'android keyboard' and any other installed keyboards, ensure that 'default input' remains checked. Thats the only way I can find to keep the Sym key working as it should.

As far as I know GingerDX v21 don't have default input added

You need to download this file from atachments and flash it via CWM or xRecovery.
This is file from 1st post of rom that you are installed.
After you flash this file, you can select default input.

Which device do you have ? The Mini or the Mini Pro ?
What I know is that you can use Suquasinputmethod with the mini pro, It could work too on mini, to confirm. It can be found on any GB rom in the right forum.
But you have to know that there is a bug with the symbols panel, it hang if totally slide up or down. To free it, you'll have to turn the device in landscape then back in portrait.

i found the suquashilinputmethod.apk keyboard and tried all these:
1> moving it to sd-card and giving all the permisions (with root explorer pro), tried installing but failed.
2> moving it to system/app folder giving perimisions again but failed
3> converting the ftf rom to flashable zip rom and adding the suquashilinputmethod.apk to system/app, then flashing the rom and stuck in logo-loop.
why anyone else says nothing about this keyboard? this is the only keyboard that is user-friendly! all other keyboards are just TOO difficult to type! its a 2.55 inch display!
