PM DG like it says in the thread. next time read the instructions in the thread that you download things from please.
First, don't panic. Unless you have gone and done a bunch of stuff to try and "fix" it on your own, there is almost certainly hope.
Also, you may want to go hang out in the IRC room for a bit.

Someone will probably be able to help you there if DG isn't available by PM.
And while you are at it, take some notes as to what went wrong, and the instrutions the guys in the IRC gave you to fix it... then add them as a reply to this thread. That way when someone else pulls the same boner, they can search, find your issue, and use the instructions you were given, and save themselves some stress.

It has been my lifetime goal to make it as a developer and I know just were to start! But the problem is I can't get my Android Kitchen for Rom Development setup. Is there any noob friendly tutorial or can someone please help me do it over Teamviewer? I worked through several videos, stickies in the forums, and written out tutorials I just need lots of help. If you dont have Teamviewer but would like to help me do it by remote access, please download it and contact me here. Thanks

That suggests to me your having problems?, which is why I asked. Are you trying to use dsixda's kitchen?

i've just noticed your posting in the wrong section of the forum, this section is for the htc hero g2 touch. you may get better help in the correct section.
How do I change the bootanimation on my ace? I've downloaded a whole bunch from around the forums now I don't know how to change mine. I saw a post about just drag and drop to data/local but I can't find that folder. Does that mean I can make it?
I hope its not as complex as I've seen around. (Mounting through adb and putting in a whole bunch of codes)
i will advice you to atleast search GOOGLE for something rather than asking all the questions in way different threads.... you can search little and get answers

Funny thing is I DID search which is why I'm asking here. Did you not read what I posted? Or you just read the question at the beginning?
i read whole thing.. but there are to many users here and all users starts asking same questions all over again.... thats why i was just advising you to search forum..
if it doesn't help try out ultimate google as you can always find answers yourself..

What was the problem with downloading the file? Are you blocked geographically? I had no problem starting the download, but I'm in the U.S.
The file is 298 MB, and it looks like a very slow connection so it will take more than an hour to download.
Please use a more descriptive title so that people who actually take the time to search can find relevant threads. If there were helpful info in this thread it would be useless to someone looking for it because of your title.

Well duh that's pretty self explanatory - you're already downloading something else from RapidShare, wait until that download finishes.

glad you figured it out. Just an FYI, so you dont get flamed for posting in the wrong section, do not post anything in the dev section unless you're dev'ing your own rom, tweak, etc...

its fine i just got an inbox asking the same question. Root file of the phone is the same file that has /system and /data. its the beginning of the file system of the phone. if your using root explorer itll just show this /
ill edit this post in a minute and post a screen shot in the op

and i dont agree with you removing this from development at all. all other guides are the same as mine. information compiled all in one place.

I know xda is known to be a top site I trust in for rooting but danm, there is just links to links to more links and one topic to get an answer goes through like five links to get the download and im still not sure if its right.
is there ANYONE who is willing to help me find the things I cant see bc my pc is making it more confusing with all the links just to find one tar download or gapps. And I still havnt found the actual download.
Is there another site anyone recamends I could use to find the files I need to download and root or can email me personally with the information??

I wanted to just flash a clean stable rom that I can set with a dark them to help me read the screen better and easier bc im half blind. But this egg hunt on the forums is overwhelming. Can anyone please help me? You are free to personally email me at [email protected] I was just hoping it would be easier then I thought to root so I could see better but its turning into a scavenger hunt so I figured if I could ask someone, who knows the forums well, if they could help direct me. If you can see YouTube videos there are videos for everything you want to do. With links to the files you will need in the comments.
