[help] no root/su/superuser - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So it appears I never had superuser / su access. I tried to redo it, but I come across the same thing.
I use this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711907
Model # X10i
Firmware 1.6
Baseband version 1.0.16
Kernal version 2.6.29-rel
Build # R1FA016
The problem:

This occurs with step 2, the actual root process. I know it should read differently. What can I do to make it work?
additionally, no terminal, or any extra apps are installed like they should after step 2.

I would say to update your phone first so it's running the latest firmware in your region. Then you can use either FlashTool or SuperOneClick to root your phone.

Super one click not working on official 4.0.2.A.0.58?

hi guys, i just updated my phone a few minutes back from 4.0.2.A.0.42 to 4.0.2.A.0.58 using pc companion. not sure about this but i read that if you update your phone using PC companion/OTA your phone will not boot(if you are bootloader unlocked) but fine works perfectly fine. it is boot loader unlocked and rooted as well.
anyway, i just noticed something, now my phone is no longer rooted and it seems like super one click is not working for this firmware. IS THERE ANYONE THERE WHO KNOWS HOW TO ROOT 4.0.2.A.0.58?
THANKS IN ADVANCE
i am currently stuck at this screen.....now for almost half an hour

[Q] Wipe data/cache/etc w/o phone recovery. [Rooting problem]

Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung GT-S5820 China mobile made running android 2.3.6, before, I have successfully rooted this device, and days later I update its baseband to a higher version using Odin. And now try to root it again, but here's an error.

I check the root checker and it states only busybox has installed.
I've googled every way of rooting any android device but sadly nothings work.
the question is.. How can I wipe data/cache/ etc that native recovery mode can perform. Because according to some chinese website, this phone has no recovery mode as it is a customized model of samsung device.
or does anyone here knows how to solve this problem? I'd be so thankful if you can help me. Thanks

Are you on the same Build Number? If not, then most likely it'd be a different method.
I checked and it's the exact same build number. I tried like every program there is to root it but none worked so far. Can u help me? ( us)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/general/galaxy-s4-mini-plus-t3041208/page9 - The easier way would be to try #86. If that doesn't work, then follow the link to recoveries in #85 and use a custom recovery to install the newest SuperSU zip from Chainfire. If something goes wrong, you can find your firmware here to restore: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195I/

[D620fr] Bootloader unlocking. Need help!

Hello!
I have a LG G2 mini which is rooted and has latest stock rom from LG PC Suite. I really want to install this on my phone, but I need to have a custom recovery like TWRP. I can't have that before bootloader is unlocked, so I spent hours searching for the right version for my exact device and couldn't find the correct version.

I found a very similar aboot but it's 20a version not 20b version from this thread.
I also downloaded D620fr10h_00.kdz and D620r10j_00.kdz just incase I need to go back to 4.4.2 kitkat to unlock bootloader with a method I haven't seen.
I found D620fr20a_00.kdz from here. Should I install it and use the method I already found?
Just download about_d620r_20a_patched.7z and follow the tutorial
I have the same model and it worked fine for me
