The screenshot below is from my HTC EVO...
Today my buddy got the Motorola Atrix... I was gonna load a bunch of cool aps for him but when I went to install the apk files it would not allow me. Then I went to
home>menu>settings>applications on his atrix and it did not have a button to check and allow me to install the apps.
Its real easy on the evo and epic... How do I do it for my friend with the Atrix?

please read the sticky post about rooting and SIDELOADING. it will phone your rom to allow it.

Why does the atrix have to be rooted for side loading? My evo allowed it out of the box

Hello there.
I have my samsung for about 6 days now i have recently rooted the device because i could not install anything from the blackmarket.
After that i still could not install games or other apps.
It does not matter i downloaded an app from a torrent site installed it on my phone and that does not work either.
Am i missing something here?????
Rooting was very easy and have an app in my phone called superuser.
Help needed please.

I'm not sure these kind of questions are allowed here, but I'll just say that rooting has nothing to do with being able to run 'cracked' APKs. You can run cracked APKs without rooting.

Anyone know a good history eraser that is more compatible for 3vo also with a eraser for market history. My old evo erasers don't clear market history anymore. Thanks in advance
I haven't had any issues with History Eraser from the market. I used it on my Evo4G and now my Evo3D, also erases Market History.

There are a couple of things only available on the us android marketplace that I would like, is there any way to access the us marketplace with a uk SG2 which isn't rooted?
Think its called market enabler. There is 2 versions both work just tested them now.

seems they need you phone to be rooted though.
Borrow a sim from a US carrier. The MCC/MNC on the sim is what's used to determine what market you get, even if you're accessing via wifi.

Whatever image you attached did not show up. Are you a CDMA or GSM user?
Your question can be answered by reading the "ROLL-UP STICKY THREAD" by Lufc.
It has all the guides/files needed to root.
If you want to root got to HTCDEV.COM. They are very godd in helping you root your phone. Rooted my 3D to the WarmTwoPointThree ROM. Very good in battery usage and quick load time after reboot.
