Can anyone help me ive tryied all the threads and tutorials but i just cant get my dell streak to flash a standard 2.1 rom back on it so i can use my rebel sim.
I keep getting an error code when its trying to install the update.pkg file which ive been trying for the last 5 hours now and havent gotten anywhere.

Just an advice, be sure when you are updating/upgrading/downgrading your Streak you are in a relax state of mind and body so that you would not miss a step. I have done it several times going from stock 1.6 to Steve's 2.2 vice versa and It is really is when I am relaxed that I am able to do it without a problem. Following the instructions will lead you where you want to be. If I rememeber it right , search for the modded recovery image for 2.1 it is somewhere in the forum. Yeah, that is what brought me to.2.1 the modded recovery image.

Hi , I installed version 2.2 on my Dell streak Froyo v2 and all is well ....
if I try to install the latest version of update-v1-relase I get the phone part off, with the x on the signal. I tried to set the apn but is not saved, how can I fix this? any help is appreciated

Hi there I am new to this but I have a bit of knowldge with computers etc. I rooted my dell streak with super1click with o2s offcial froyo evrything went ok with the rooting but I can not get rom manger to work I have followed instructions every where how to do it but now look can any 1 please help me
ROM Manager does not play well with the Streak.
Is there any of recomdations than rom manger please

First off please let me state that I am aware that I am not any sort of expert when it comes to this sort of stuff. I might use incorrect terms and say things in a way that displays my ignorance to these extremely technical topics. I am have some good common sense and problem solving skills though so if someone were to offer me some help I can probably 'figure it out' by thinking critically.
I have a X10A with AT&T and was too impatient to wait for SE to come out with the 2.1 update here. When the Nordic update came out I was one of the people that rooted and de-branded my phone so that I could get 2.1 on it. Everything went fine and nothing else seems to be wrong with the phone except the boot loop problem. I can not seem to find a definitive answer as to how to fix this on any forums or anywhere else on the internet. I updated it with SEUS and it did not fix the problem.
Since having done this I have read that all the user data must be wiped before rooting/upgrading otherwise one can get stuck in this boot loop (http://www.xda-developers.com/androi...or-xperia-x10/). I don't know if that is what happened to me or not???? Any help someone could offer would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
So you flashed to nordic when it came out but you just now get a boot loop?
Not sure what happened but I'd say try flashing it. Since you are in a boot loop & can't power on & turn it off to get into flash mode, try THIS
I suggest 2.1.A.0.435 X10a 2.1 Global Generic, there's a nice guide HERE on how to install & optimize it. From there you can install a custom rom if you want or just wait for the 2.3 update from SE or see what our devs come up with in the meantime...
At&t will never give us an update... one of my many complaints with them... I am dropping home & cell services ASAP...
Yes I flashed to Nordic when it came out. I have been in a boot loop ever since. I am just now posting this because I have not had time to deal with it. I had insurance on the phone and just got another one instead of fixing it. I will try your suggestion and let you know how it works out. Thanks for the help!

Do you flashed the correct baseband to your ROM?
Maybe you have to install correct baseband with flashtool.

Hello everyone ,i was on 351 2.2.2 stock rom than i wanted to update to new gingerbread offical rom , so i flashed 350recovery and did update from that but my dell was stuck on logo so i reinstalled the recovery to 351 and now wen i clicked update of my 351.pkg my mobile is still at first boot from 40minutes its not going past the dell Logo Help
Must be something wrong with ur flashing method buddy.
Try to remove your battery and factory reset.
I recommend you to use flashing with command prompt method.

OK, i am on the 3 network and have sent an email to LG regarding updating to 2.2.3 and they say that it is only available in the UK on the T-mobile network, I want to no if i can manually update to 2.2.3 that is compatible with the UK and my network. If not is there anyway to unlock my phone to make it compatible?
I have already rooted my phone using Gingerbreak
If i can update is there anywhere where i can get download links and a step by step guide that will work on my phone? i have been through many posts that explain things but i still am not to sure whether they will work with my phone, and if the ROM will work with my phone.

I meant that i want to update to 2.3 gingerbread, or if anyone no's of any better ROM's that would be great, i generally use my phone for games, apps, music and browsing the internet so i just assumed that the official 2.3 ROM would be a better option but i am open to any suggestions. Download rom manager from market and flash clock wok rocovery and use a rom from ther they are mostly based on 2.3 or if you looking for something more advanced with tweeks download a rom from here make shur you have the right baseband 1st
