Bluetooth Keyboard? - Folio 100 Accessories

Does anyone know of a bluetooth keyboard that works with their folio 100? I've been looking at the ones from Freedom, but it seems that the drivers are only beta.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The Logitech diNovo Edge works perfect on Folio 100 with FolioMod v1.4
Cheers

Apple ..
The Bluetooth Keyboard works like a chram, though if you like to use the numeric Keypad it lacks some Functions.
The Trackpad as PointDevice should also be working if you install Support for Pointing Devices. Dunno wich App you might be using but there are several.
*self-edit*
If the Keyboard puts out weird Chars once connected you should try pressing [fn]+ [f6] cos thats like on a Notebook Keypad if the blue Numeric Part is active.

can you use the keyboard from apple on the folio? or on any android tablet or phone? can you use this keyboard on a windows computer?

I use the Microsoft Bluetooth® Mobile Keyboard 6000. It works great.

<MOD EDIT> - Advertising is not allowed!

necro post but the logitech tablet keyboard for iPad work like a charm better quality than microsoft keyboard and more compact plus it come with a sleeve that can be used as stand for the folio with 2 position. (also it is swiss no matter what its allways quality *nono im not saying that because im swiss )
cons: its a lil heavy for that size (hu who care in fact xD )
also all the blue fn secondary button function are working perfectly.
the retailer was going mad saying "nananah its for iPad and iPad only not for worth nothing toshicrap tab" i was about to punch him but i said "did apple put a patente on bluetooth? nope so they cant lock that product for the iPad only, so it will works on my Folio aswell" i understand he was meaning iPad roxx andropad suckzzz but failled to argue with me in the end... we all Know only some chinese copy sucks *iPad or andropad copy*
man ... i really love fanboy and their non objective opinion...

I use Trust 17809. I have remaped the layout for to have the good letters in the right place. Originally it's for iPad.

Hi ! I bought a simple bluetooth keyboard and checked youtube for instructions to make it work. It works with AAA batteries and it's quite cheap (20 euros maybe or less)

BT Thumb Keyboard

I'm looking for a small thumb-like bt keyboard. I know there are many folded ones, but they are all to big. Coming from Kaiser i miss thumb-typing, so i'm in need of something similar. Logitech dinovo mini is way to expencive and still to big to carry around. I found some, but don't know if they will work. If anyone has some idea if this can work on HD or does know thumb-like keyboard, please share.
Old one, but it looks great

Have you also explore alternative soft keyboards like Resco or SBP:
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/keyboard/
I also used to have a Touch Pro and a Tytn II and was a thumb typist on both. But, now I'm happy with JUST the HD and now keyboard.
i use soft keybrds for fast input, but when typing long emails it's much faster to type with hw keyboard. I even make less typos with it.
i suppose the only problem is with device driver, so what kind of BT chip does HD have? Some of this thumb keyboards allready have wm support (of some sort) and support Bluesoil.
I dont know much of this, so i could be way off. Even so, i think this would be good adition.
tnx
could be used for games?

I'm not sure that the maplin one would work
I had a real good look at it plus some web searching
ps3's use a different HID to microsoft
Hence I'm reasonable sure it not for you

You can use a foldable bluetooth keyboard. Google it.
There are cloth ones, foldable ones, even little laser keyboards that are super tiny. I've paired mine with a friends Microsoft 6000 and it worked great. Searching google or yahoo yields quite a bit.
yeah these are great.. but what about keyboard that is in HTC touch pro 2 ... I would love to have a keyboard small like that ..it would be great if it could be atached on the back of topaz and it would be like rhodium
so any ideas?
How about buying a Rhodium?
Check this one:

i just get the bluetooth keyboard i have ordered 2 week ago and he he great ; i can use it to play with all the games who need lot of keys
but i have a litte problem on my diamond 2 (and not on my p3600 xd) when i type m i get a , on the screen
The Best BT external Keyboard made was the Think Outside/IGO Bluetooth keyboard
I've had mine for years and it was gathering dust until I got my TD2 and it paired STRAIGHT away to my TD2 without any drivers or any tweaking...
The only problem is that the manufacturer Igo has stopped making them now but you can still pick on up on ebay or some places

I cannot get either my Logitech Dinovo Edge or my Microsoft 6000 to pair with my TD2. I thought it might be a ROM issue so I tried about ten different ROMs including the shipped Telstra ROM (my phone is from Telstra), a shipped T-Mobile ROM and a bunch of cooked ROMs (thanks chefs) and none of them worked. It would recognise the KB and show it in the list of devices but always as "disconnected".
So, I am keen to hear how you made the MS 6000 work with the TD2.
(BTW I have had no trouble pairing my Dinovo with a Nokia E51 and my MS6000 with an Apple TV in addition to their usual PCs so I do not think the keyboards are the problem).
Update: I have just installed Dutty's latest Holy Grail ROM [Duttys Topaz Sense 2.5 Holy Grail R9 |WWE|
Based Rom 2.53 ( CE OS Build 5.2.21891 & 5.23534 )] and I can now connect my DiNovo Edge keyboard. Thanks Dutty.

Bluetooth Keyboard

Does the Photon only work with the Motorola BT keyboard? I have tried 2 BT keyboards I already have and I cannot get them to pair with the phone. I tried both the 0000 and 1234 passkeys the phone tells me but neither works. Neither of my keyboards came with passkeys. Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.
I just paired mine to an Apple Wireless Keyboard (bluetooth) that I had laying arond and it worked fine.
Random note about pairing an apple keyboard though:
After the phone asks you to put in a pin number and you hit ok, immediately type the same pin into the keyboard and hit enter. Then it will pair fine.
Hmm I will have to give that entering the key on the keyboard a try.
Yup that did the trick. I am using the Targus tablet keyboard and I did as you said, I entered the passkey on the phone and as soon as I hit OK I entered the same number on the keyboard and hit enter and boom I was in business. Only thing though I don't know if your using SPb 3D shell but I had to uninstall it because everytime I connect the keyboard the whole SPB shell crashes. Anyone else using SPB 3D shell experience this?
Sorry, I'm not using that. Is it a launcher? I'm using launcher pro.

Any others with a good functioning fold away keyboard and portable mouse for this device and perhaps usable for tablet pc's that support BT?

Best product I have seen for portability/functionality: Logitech diNovo Mini
In theory, should any keyboard that properly implements canonical Bluetooth HID work with the Photon (at least, well enough to work properly with Connectbot, including cursor keys)? Or in more concrete terms, has anybody found a Bluetooth HID keyboard that worked with Cyanogen, but DIDN'T work as expected on a Photon with stock firmware?
(by the way, I'm also open to suggestions for a keyboard that can be non-awkwardly pocketed, and is suitable for both panic-stricken sysadmin work with Connectbot involving bash & SQL *and* casual web browsing while eating at BK. I could almost deal with one that's "phone-like" as long as the center-to-center key pitch is at least as wide as the Epic, it has a number row, and the symbols are in the right places... but with more empty space surrounding the keys so I won't have to press with my fingertip to avoid pressing an adjacent key. I'd totally kill for the folding Jorno KB I saw on Wired & Gizmodo, but it looks like THAT one won't actually be available until 2012 even though they started sending out press releases and demo units last year).
Update: does anybody have an opinion (good, bad, awesome-if-it-worked-but-it-doesn't, etc) about this particular keyboard:
http://www.dracotek.com/bluetooth-w...e-smartphones-pc-laptop-and-more-bfkip01.html
It looks like the latest incarnation of the 4-way folding keyboard design that's been around since at least the Palm V (now, with bluetooth and USB-recharged lithium battery). I really like it (on paper, at least), because it's the only keyboard like this I've ever found that has all the keys I care about in the right places. I've been lusting after a keyboard like this for literally years, but it seems like my phones have always been one version away from compatibility with it (sigh). Now that I have a phone that literally knows how to deal with proper Bluetooth HID out of the box, I'm dying to finally buy one the moment I have an excuse to believe it's likely to work ;-)
I picked up the Official Moto Keyboard at Target for $48 - Normally $69.99 - it was marked as clearance - couldn't pass it up
Connected and works very well with the Hacked webtop

That worked with the CE Compass Mini Bluetooth as well. If only the documentation had mentioned that critical step.
The CE Compass bluetoothhas a mouse ponter control, uses AAA batteries, and is cheaper than Logitech but probably not as robust.
It is about half the size of an iPad. So it could go into a big pocket.
Thanks to follow
Well, for what it's worth, I've successfully paired and used both a DiNovo keyboard and MX900 mouse. I haven't bought a pocketable keyboard though. At the moment, I'm trying to find an app compatible with the Hero that can emulate a real, honest to god Bluetooth HID keyboard and Mouse (99% of the apps in Android Market don't emulate HID, and require a special server app that doesn't work on phones/tablets at the other end). If I can get the Hero to work and pair with my Photon as its keyboard/mouse, I'll be psyched... I already own it, it's just sitting in a drawer anyway, it's half the size of actual pocketable bluetooth keyboards with mouse capabilities, and I can do Graffiti on it instead of fumbling with keys scaled for a midget

the first one is the cheapest. i believe the other ones are just a lil newer. just make sure u order bluetooth and not 2.4ghz.
Those look nice but don't need a touch pad tho. I never use webtop not found myself ib a situation to need to use webtop since my laptop is always near by. I'm just looking for a mini keyboard that will work.

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard Recomendations?

Looking for Bluetooth keyboard recommendations.
Tried a Freedom with an old blackberry I had (way back when), but didn't function very well.
Seriously doubt it would work with my SGS2, but I'll give it a shot once I'm back in the office.
Anyone have any experience?
Foldable or compact is a bonus
Best I've tried so far is the HP Touchpad Bluetooth Keyboard. Works great with any and all android, iOS, and other Bluetooth devices.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
No luck with my original freedom.
No drivers to load with android.
Anyone else have any luck with the modern Freedom keyboards?
Road whore that needs something a bit more compact....
Logitech DiNovo Mini works perfectly with the SGSII. I use it esp when I have my phone plugged into the TV. Works perfectly.
I use a cheap microsoft bluetooth keyboard. Not exactly portable but it gets the job done.
I have one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Original-Bluetooth-Wireless-Keyboard-Touchpad/dp/B004723V1M/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1320187017&sr=8-27
This works great with the SGS2 as well as any computer with BT and also the Playstation 3.
The mousepad will even give you a cursor on the SGS2 screen.
Even has a built in laser pointer.
Pay close attention to the pairing procedure as it is a little tricky.
Atrix Bluetooth Keyboard Works
This keyboard works great except that when you press SHIFT to capitalize a letter, it stays locked until you type another letter and backspace over it. I'm thinking of returning it. Otherwise, it's nice to have all the dedicated keys for Android on the keyboard.
Did u have to do anything special to connect ur hp keyboard, because mine pairs but wont connect. Any ideas?

I have the HP as well, works perfectly with our phone. Now here's the bad.news it won't connect at all on 2.3.6 custom.or stock firmware. Bluetooth hid is broken it's not just the keyboard but mouse or anything else Bluetooth.hid. You can always revert back to.any 2'3.4 rom and it will be fine. Now.if for some reason your on.2.3.4 and can't get it to connect let me know and I'll trouble shoot it with you. Mine pairs also in 2.3.6 but it can't connect because no bthid

Sony Xperia Tablet and Apple Bluetooth keyboard

Hi !
I have a Sony Xperia Tablet and tried to pair it with my Apple Bluetooth keyboard. It pairs and shows up on the tablet but there is no input.
Tried in different apps that allow typing but cannot get it to function at all!
Any advice welcomed!

I had a similar problem with the Sony Tablet S and Apple keyboards.
Eventually, I ended up using a Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard and it works fine.
thanks for your reply VitaZora,
I have the case with the built in keyboard, but I am still interested to know why my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard will pair but will not work.
Any ideas?

Maybe no support for such keyboard?
Probably Apple products are only supported with the same brand (iPad etc.)

Yes, pity about that.
Does anyone know a way to get it to work? It works with my Sony Xperia S mobile phone but looks rather silly!!

I have a simple stand for the Xperia Tablet and, alongside it, the Apple Keyboard looks so cool!
edit - Cradle arrived today! Ordered through Sony and had an delivery date for next Tuesday or Wednesday!!:laugh::laugh:
I think these look good together, so shame keyboard doesn't work!

I got my Apple Keyboard working by using an app called BlueInput https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teksoftco.android.blueinput&hl=en and it works just fine.
The trial version works buit puts "BlueInput" in your text every now and then but I believe you can pay for a version which removes this.
Good luck!
Thanks, it worked, but the connection seemed to be unstable. Second time I tried to use the keyboard, I had to re-pair it, so I will probably not use it. Shame it doesn't work on the stock Tablet S out of the box
I downloaded the app Null Keyboard. My Apple keyboard works perfectly with my Tablet S; using it daily
