how can i change the operator logo to my own image? i tried replacing it with another png image with the same name but the bootscreen doesn't work. any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
ok, i got the image to load now but it flashes for less than one second. how can i get it to stay? didn't mess with any of the values in desc.txt since i want it to directly replace the original operator's logo.

Hello, yesterday I recieved a new S III from my operator (movistar) and I've been rooting it and cleaning all the **** it brought (preinstalled apps).
There's something that I can`t remove, the operator's splash screen. It appears every time I turn either on or off the phone and plays a short animation where the word "movistar" is showed. It's really annoying and I don`t know how to get rid of it.
For the moment, I've been looking for a "bootanimation.zip" in System/Media but there's just the Samsung boot animation (which I'd like to keep). I also deleted the "stk.apk" app but nothing changed.
If anyone know where can I find the operator's splash screen file in my phone in order to delete it I'd be really pleased.
Thank you,
Ferran
I suppose that the operator doesn`t really matter and that the splash screen is similar to a T-Mobile one or a 3 one. I'm sure there's a way of removing or changit it but I couldn`t find it on my own, help me please!
Boot splash screen .
Remove by flashing stock rom
Or use search to find the same question asked before and modify the required file yourself .
Boot splash logo is param partition
jje
bootanimation.zip is on: /system/bin/
folder. If i delete it the splash animation will disapear?
Hello,
I have a problem with getting new splashscreen logo to work. I have created PNG image 800x480 of new splashscreen (also tried with 480x800
image) for my tablet Allwinner A10 chip. I replaced stock initlogo.rle with my custom that i created with this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1140406
after packing it up and flashing the logo is not showing at all, i get first bootlogo (from bootloader.img) then nothing (there is supposed to be initlogo.rle) showing up and last there is animated android text and starting up ends.
Why my logo is not showing up? Anyone have idea?

Man, I have the very same issue. 100%
Have looked almost everywhere. Other than finding in dmesg log the line:
Code:
init: logo match failed!fbsize = 1536000
I didn't move an inch further. What is that fbsize and is there a connection between it to the fact that my logo isn't showing seems like none knows.
I've searched on this but can't find anything. I have a Three network Galaxy SIII that has been network unlocked and works on my O2 account. The only annoying thing is the Three network logo (in black on a white background) that runs at boot and closedown.
I found this thread that describes how to remove what I take to be a similar logo on a Motorola device but, on looking in the same directory, there is no similar directory. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2445150
Does anyone know where this lives on an SIII and how to remove it. I don't want to flash a custom ROM, just remove the ugly Three bootlogo.
These branded bootanimations are in Samsungs´ QMG format. You´ll need to replace the animations and you´re ready to go
I´ve created a flashable.zip for you with the Stock Samsung Bootanimations inside

Boot Logo if it is the splash screen that has replaced the initial Samsung S splash screen its not changeable .
If its the boot animation after the splash then delete the bootanimation files .
System/ Media / Bootsamsung QHG and Bootsamsungloop QMG .
Boot animation see Themes and apps .
Shutdown is System/ media/ video / shutdown/ shutdown QMG
Yeah 3 UK is just a boot animation. Although, there is other "Three crap" on the ROM too, so I would personally just flash latest unbranded BTU, but that's not to say that this is THE solution. Just A solution
Just flashed these. Big delay I know but that's another story.
Anyway. They all got copied into system/media The shutdown file was the only one that didn't replace an existing file and, sure enough, boot up now shows the Samsung S but shutdown still shows the Three logo. Anyone know where the three shutdown file is located?
Edit: Found it in system/media/videos/shutdown
Hello,
I have a Allwinner A33 tablet with Android 4.4.2 it's 1024x600, and I want to change boot logo (not bootanimation), it displays 2 logos at boot before bootanimation, and I want to change them, how can I do it?
I have found many posts about this but none for A33, I also do not have any boot/ROM for it...
Is there a way that I can backup the device, change the logo and send it back with the same boot but with my logo?
Thanks

Hello however its very old post but if u wan I can guide you
Use dragon face to edit firm file
DragonFace
Hi,
Is this still the way to edit firmware files? I have tried DragonFace 2.5 but when I put the image back on the tablet it sits at the boot logo and doesnt go from there. Is there a tutorial on how to edit the logos and customise the preinstalled apps and desktop etc?
Thanks!

I am also facing the same issue. Even if I just save the firmware without making any changes in DragonFace, the device just freezes on the boot logo when flashed with Phoenix Suite.
Am i using the wrong combination of tools (Dragon Face to change the firmware and Phoenix Suite to Flash it)?
Hey guys, is changing the Boot Animation possible on the phone? (Rooted, Locked Bootloader)
I'd like to create a boot animation, but if i can't replace the original one, not gonna waste time on it.
