I'm running bionix 1.3.1 and I've noticed that the calendar app doesn't support links for phone numbers and addresses. Meaning that I can't click on a number or address from an appointment and have my phone jump to the dialer or google maps. It was a function before on 1.2.1.
Any thoughts on how I can get that back?
Thanks

EDIT: Could I pull the calendar.apk from 1.2.1 and push it into 1.3.1 or would that cause some problems?
You can unzip the file and pull from there. Or go to the team whiskey website and ask them to post the zip. You'll need to rename and save current calendar to sd and then push the new one to the phone using root explorer. It shouldnt cause problems. Maybe just search the forum for specific instructions on how to do so.

Have you tried this yet? Any luck? I've been trying to figure out how to get the stock calendar on Bionix V 1.3.1, but all the instructions I've found on XDA seem to be for Eclair, and I messed up my phone pretty badly trying to follow them before I realized that.
Any luck with this approach? Where did you get the file and what were your steps?
I'm in the same place, Bionix 1.3.1 is awesome, I can't go back after experiencing the quickness, but I need the calendar to be updated. The calendar is one of my most used apps, I need it working properly and to have hyper links.
Thanks!!

I lost swype and I cannot get it back. I lost it along with slacker, memos, mobiTV and the other apps that came with it.
Any way how to get them back?

I think you might get better answers by asking this question in the hybrid tread?
I read that you need to install swype "beta" version to get swype back.
I'm sure the other apps can be found in the market I'm sure?
Did you even run a Titanium Backup to restore apps?
Yes, I do a scheduled Titanium backup and backup before installing a rom.
You didn't lose them... you removed them by flashing that ROM...

Buy root explorer, move the swype.apk from vibrant9 (or vibrant7,6,etc.) into your system/apps. Worked very well for me.
swype is the only one thats been giving me problems... others just need to be reinstalled.
can i get an explicit confirmation from those of you that says it works, that on r1, not the first hybrid (that worked for me), you were able to pull the swype apk from vibrant9 or whatever and get it working on r1?
EDIT: fix works. just pull and copy system/lib file as indicated below
Install the Evo Swype apk that's floating around. It works

Eugenes roms don't have the bloatwate i.e. mobi tv and others. If you want them, back them up using root explorer before flashing streamlined roms. But one of the reasons the roms have a snappier response is that the extra programs aren't bogging it down.

eugene gave the fix over in the Hybrid development thread. No other Swype 'fix' worked for me and his simple resolution has brought Swype back to my phone.
you didnt read what you were flashing? it says all the crap is removed.

+1 i wish people would use the search rather than post a new forum topic. If you do use the search then please say so in your OP. Just like he said before you flash ALWAYS DO A NANDORID BACK UP and he is not responsible for anything you do to your phone.

+1, works perfectly.
It's not working for me... I pushed both Swype.apk and libSwypeCore.so to their respective folders, but when I select it as an input method it shows an error that says swype hasn't been configured for my device, and I can't switch languages... what should I check?
Any chance on getting that apk?

I tried using the search but it ignores two character words. Anyone have the apk for the IM app in the bionix roms? I installed fusion and would like to have it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I'm pretty sure it's just the default IM app out of Cyanogen/Vanilla. I'll post it up tomorrow if nobody has already.
Just a suggestion, if you make a Titanium backup of all your apps, it saves the apps that came pre-installed as well.
Just download bionix, unzip it and take it yourself in the system/app folder. Use adb push or root explorer to copy it to your own system/app after making a nandroid backup.

weird, I just did that (because I'm a nice guy, so I figured I'd just do it for whoever would want it) but I couldn't find it... probably just didn't look hard enough...
It's not you... it looks like it was removed from Bionix Final. It used to be in the data/app folder, not system/app, but I don't have 1.9.1 anymore to pull it out.
Sorry.
is this the one?

Well, I was actually looking in 1.9.1, but if it was in data/app, that's why I couldn't find it.

Hi XDA:
I still have the Avatar movie on external sd card, pushed the avatar.apk file to /system/apps, and made sure the proper movie sub directory was copied from an old back up to my internal sd card under the sd card directory. Still getting ' file not found' when click Avatar icon. I can watch the movie using the video player and I'm sure this is something small that I've forgotten, and I researched other threads regarding this issue but cannot find an answer. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I'm currently running Nero v3. Cheers.

If anyone can shed some light on this it would really be appreciated. I am selling one of my Vibrants as I've just purchased a Nexus S and I'm trying to get this working for them before I ship it. Thanks again
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
This has to do with the different ways 2.1 and 2.2 name the external sd card - 2.1 calls it "sd" or "sdcard" (can't remember...been a while since 2.1), while 2.2 calls it "external_sd." So, you need the Avatar apk that has the correct name in the movie filepath.
The attached apk's should solve your problem. If you are running a 2.2 rom, then use the one I attached named "Avatar_22." Push it to your system/app just like you were doing before.
Disclaimer: I did not make the 2.2 compatible Avatar shortcut. I had this same issue and found it somewhere on this site, but figured I'd just share the apk instead of trying to search out the original source. If this makes someone mad, let me know and I'll give the proper credit or remove it - whichever you prefer.
Awesome.. Exactly what I needed and I'll give it a whirl once I arrive home from work. Thanks.

Having the exact problem, I'm running Bionix 1.3.1 and Overstock 1.5.
People should post the rom and kernel they're on when reporting whether this works or not.

What ROM and kernel are you running?

Someone on another forum mentioned that it's working but only on CM7. I think it may be a kernel thing.

Works perfectly on the HD2. As for my Vibrant, no dice. Same problems as everyone else.
Its progress though, can't wait to see it fully working here.
Force closes after login for me too.. Bionix 1.3.1
Anybody with CM7 on the vibrant tried it out yet?
Can someone who has this working report what ROM they are running ? I tried and it crashes after login on bionix 1.3.1
Anybody tried Thinkfree Office with this latest CM7? And if so what version are you using? I can't get the latest Evil edify version to work.
I use it daily and its the only app I use can't get it to load .
If you check their market page it says they are working on GB compatibility. I tried to use it too with the same results. I think it is up to them to update the app.

The viewer only version working fine. I need it to edit. Was hoping one of the original stock versions would work? May try to take the file from EB01 and see if I can get it to work. I tried the Google Docs, I can't get it to see the contents of my SD card.
The apk I have I pulled from one of adrynalyne's superclean versions where he provided a list of stock apps to add on if needed. It came from one of the debloated, debinged leaks.

Tried that too along with files from EB01,ComRom,and EC09. Guess my next option is the $15 market version but don't know if I want to gamble on it not working and be out the cash if I go past the fifteen minute exchange time period.
I keep getting the non-edify error if I try to use CWM and the package installer advises "not installed".
Have you tried contacting the developer? Just to see if it is compatible with your set-up.

No just read in description it is Gingerbread compatible. Might try that if nothing else works.
I had a titanium backup of the app that works, but before that I used to just take the apk from and older build and throw it in /system/app.
