Today I've seen screenshots of Infinity Blade for iOS and I couldn't say anything except "WOW", is there anything comparable for Android OS and for NC in particular?
The best graphics I've seen so far was in Gameloft's Asphalt 5, but I can't say I was really impressed, so I looking for something better.
Check out dungeon defender, it uses the unreal engine pretty well, not to mention I like the gameplay
I am very happy with the graphics and smoothness of Nova from gameloft. But i am a fps kinda person.

I am using the dual boot version of HC v4. Overclocked to 1.1ghz. I can get it working on stock 1.1 also, but the screen is cut off on the sides of the screen.

I've tried Dungeon Defenders, it's pretty nice looking, but the framerate is bad with any quality settings,
I wonder whether if this is because of some compatibility issue, or just because NC's video chip is more than 5 years old?
Just curious but the Samurai 2 game looks amazing, i would like to try it but on hc it force closes and in froyo it loads but says the device is in compatable, anyone have any insight into this?
Needs a Tegra device, same problem with monster madness
Samurai 2 looks amazing indeed, but it requires nVidia Tegra 2 device to run, so NC doesn't satisfy the minimal system requirements.
On one hand it's good, that android got a hardware platform with good graphics capabilities, that tends to become a standard, but on the other it's unfortunate, that NC and most of other devices are based on older platforms and will not be compatible with upcoming software.
3D games: Nova, Spiderman, HAWX, Modern Combat, Dungeon Defenders, Pocket Legends, Dungeon Hunter, Hero of Sparta, NFS:Shift, Asphalt, Raging Thunder2, Crazy Snowboard, Battle Bears, Heavy Gunner, Deadly Chambers, Skies of Glory, Back Breaker, gunbros, meteor blitz, minigore, tiki golf, bioball...

You can't try it on the Nook Color because it pops up an error if you run it on any device that doesn't have Tegra 2.
The Galaxy Tab is fully capable of running the game, but they won't let you because they're shills for Nvidia.
I like Quake and Quake II.......Also I think Mario 64 looks awesome...
Hi everyone,
As most of you know there are emulators for most of the older gaming platforms out there for Android, for example NES, SNES, N64, Amiga etc. Alot of games on these platforms work really good on Android, but the controllers are often so bad that you cant be arsed to play it anyways.
Are there any emulated games that you actually DO play, and if so, which ones? I am eager to play some old console games on my phone but I have a hard time finding games that are actually playable and enjoyable with a touch screen controller.
(I got a Galaxy Nexus. Can't wait for a working version of GTA3!)
N64 is good. Goldeneye and Mario Kart work well on my Rezound. I also play backyard baseball sometimes with SCUMM VM
Castlevania symphony of the night with FPSE runs nice on my thunderbolt with onscreen controls but its perfect with a ps3 controller.
Anyone have Tyson Punchout?
Castlevania Aria of Shadows
Pokemon Emerald
On my poor little Wildfire they run well
Thanks for the tips. I am currently playing full throttle in ScummVM and can recommend it strongly. Also games like Broken Sword 1&2, Monkey Island 1-3 and Day of the tentacle seems very entertaining and easy to control due to the point-and-click system.
Any SNES turn based rpg. No need for more than 2 inputs at a time.

Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Vandal Hearts 2. All are PSX games and all play very well on my LG Thrill.
What apps does everyone here think are the best for the Prime? Since this is going to have enough juice for gaming, I want to try some of my old faves. I have not used any in Android before, any useful tips would be much appreciated. Thanks
I recently installed (on TF101) Emulator ROMs with a large portfolio of ROMs to download and SNesoid - both work great. (Emulator ROMs allows downloading ROMs for SNesoid)
I also had aDosBox (or sth similar) once for DOS games.
There is also an Amiga emulator but it was subpar from what I remember, and I don't know the exact name.
SNesoid is great for SNES games and allows saving game (made playing Lost Vikings and Lost Vikings II so much less frustrating ). It works great with keyboard but you need to setup the keys first.
Gameboid, and n64oid and nesoid all work great.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
Edit: they aren't in the market though, so get them from SlideME or Google them
snesoid is hands down the best !
i like scummvm, get to play old adventure games like day of the tentacle, sam and max, etc.
GemRB! = Planescape Torment (best rpg game ever!) and rest blackisile games like BG 1&2 or IWD 1&2.

Any PS2/PS2 emulators?
Sadly the prime doesn't have the hardware to support this. However, there is a Ps1 emulator available.

the prime has enough juice/power to easily do PS2 games. there just isn't a PS2 emulator available yet because this the first time a device been released that could push those specs or more. Shadowgun tegra3 version easily has better graphics than any ps2 game ever released. Prime power is in-between an Xbox(more powerful than a ps2) and a ps3(not quite there yet but close. prime produces some amazing videos to almost rival it). I would love to see a ps2 or Xbox emulator pop up for Tegra3 devices/Prime.
even the dual core tegra2 has games that rival ps2 or look better. Tegra3 is a whole lot more powerful than tegra2. CPU wise and Gpu wise. don't underestimate the prime and tegra3. some game developers already said it'll be very easy to port PC games to tegra3 without any loss on graphics quality or speed. some games already on tegra3 use exact same visuals as PC counterpart. developer said this makes it easy for them to make games for more than one platform in parallel. not having to worry about dumbing down anything.

just finished playing Bloody Roar 2 on my Prime with FPse emulator . works great.
Einhander is a classic n plays really good also. about to download Marvel vs. Capcom and play that ;-)
FPse by far the best PlayStation emulator hands down. plays just as if I'm really playing on PlayStation. tinkering around with system and video settings in game will help game look and play even better. still messing around seeing what does what.

happy new year! they all run n look great on Prime. yeah those psx roms are huge..lol won't take too many to fill up prime memory if you get carried away..lol
Do you use a BT remote like the wii remote with your emulators? Is an additional program like wiimote needed for a wii controller to work? Asus information about the prime makes it sound like no other software is needed to get a wii, ps3, or xbox remote to work. It is all built in.

But to emulate a device you need a lot, a lot of CPU power, more than the original device had. I doubt Tegra3 is enough for this task. I hope I'm wrong.

I also use the ..oid emulators. They play great, but I can't seem to get the Wii remote to work correctly on the prime. The button mapping doesn't register to the game, instead, it registers the button push to Google search, or to the file explorer where the game is stored.Weird.
I've downloaded bluezime, wiimote and Wii controller from the market with the same result.
Anyone else have this issue?
GenPlusDroid works great for SEGA games! If you uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio" it will go fullscreen. I ordered the Joystick-it joystick for my Prime too, should be good.

Even my PC has problems with PS2 emulation and it is considered an enthusiast computer.
Core i7 920 OC'd to 3.6GHz from 2.66GHz
18GB of DDR3-1600 CAS-9 RAM
Two GeForce GTX 460s 1GB in SLI
Three 500GB WD 7,200 RPM HDDs in RAID-0
Even with that I have problems with PS2 emulation.
About PS2 Emulation
As a general rule of thumb you need 4x the speed of the hardware you are trying to emulate.
I read about emulator for very old, very slow game console that was slow on 3Ghz processor because it was very precisely emulating everything. For most things you don't need that precission but sometimes games don't work on amulators because of that.
There have been a few experiments with DS emulators in the past - but the verdict usually ended up with terrible framerates.
Now that we have a quadcore device that has a sizeable increase in performance over other devices - the question of true performance stands...
"...but can it play pokemon?"
This would be one of the easiest things to do. But its a matter of if anyone wants it. I had DS emulator for Ipad. It was OK. There are no great games really only it. Pokemon is for little kids..lol. by the way though, I think Digimon characters would destroy Pokemon ones..lmfao its really a matter of if someone wants to use their time tl make one. With all the other great emulators out there, no real demand for DS emulator. You the first I ever heard ask for one.
What I want to see is a Turbo Gratix 16 or PC engine emulator or a 3DO one.

Disagree, there's literally tons of great games on DS, it's been the best hand-held gaming platform I had so far, there's a huge variety of games, not only pokemon
Take a look at Advance Wars 1 and 2, The World Ends With You (this game is a Masterpiece), Dragon Quest IX, Final Fantasy Tactics 2, Scribblenauts, All the Castlevania-RPGs etc ... I'll stop here, but there's a lot more! All of these are no Casual games too!
Anyway concerning the emulator, I think Nintendo sold so many DS that people just play on DS instead of emulators for tablets, but it's just my opinion
I find it funny to hear someone say Pokemon is for kids, and then reference Digimon.
There are tons of great games on the DS system, especially JRPGs.
Found this in development & hacking.

Lmfao. You got me. Both are. But if one were to be better than another in battle I'd go with the latter.
To op; those are some good games you mentioned. Advanced wars n dragon quest. Been so long since playing a DS. Or at least the original one. I moved on from Nintendo, as IMO, more kiddie oriented games. I had moved on to PSP. I even had an Atari Lynx back in the day and a TurboExpress still have my Sega master system from over 20yrs. Ago.
D.S was a major advancement in evolution of mobile gaming compared to gameboy. I still think gameboy holds all time best selling portable device.

You're right about Nintendo being more casual and kid oriented, the exception being the Nintendo DS, there's so much RPGs on this machine and original concepts ... sure there's tons of kid games, but there's just as much "real games" trust me

I believe it. I love RPG. Been playing since those Dragon warrior n Ultimate Quest of the Avatar on NES. Looking forward to trying out DS emulator once one is made for Prime.
I really want a Dreamcast and Saturn Emulator. Loved playing power stones n Phantasy Star. Those had alot of great RPG also. PC engine/Turbo gratis 16 had some great RPG also.
The problem right now is no so much the lack of hardware that could handle it, it's been the compatability of the emulator with the games. Some games will just never work properly on an emulator no matter what the processing power.

I'm pretty sure it's only little kids who say Pokemon is only for little kids. All of my friends who are 20+ love Pokemon as it is a great game and is excellently made. All of Nintendo's games are made with the utmost quality and are jam packed full of fun.
That said, I would love to see a DS emulator for android. I've been hoping for one recently as I want to play Pokemon Black or White but I don't want to have to carry my DS around with me. Having only one thing to carry would be awesome.
If we were able to run a full fledged DS emulator on our Prime that would blow all the games iOS + Android combined.
i've had every model of the DS minus the latest 3-Disaster but i honestly wouldn't do much with a DS emulator. i'd probably have more fun with a GBA emulator.

Lol, it was a disaster for Nintendo maybe, but I was more than happy to trade in my old DSlite and get a brand new hand-held with tons of added features for $100 That being said, I use it the same amount which is not at all and I don't think I could put an emulator through any more use.
I do have GBC/GBA/NES/SNES/N64 emulators on my phone/Prime and love being able to break out the classics, but the newer Nintendo and its 1st party developers get the less they jive with me as a consumer and fan. A DS/3DS emulator would be for bragging rights more than anything.
What I do want to see is PS2 emulation though! I would kill for that.
There's an issue making emulators for current hardware though, and that's the fact that most dev's don't like entering legal battles with giant corporations. Emulating game ROMs for current hardware isn't looked at any different than pirated games on the original hardware I don't think.

Most games that I tried work flawlessly. Here is the list:
1) GTA VC,SA, 3.
2) Modern Combat 5 (****ty game though, boring ass story with no fun. Inapp purchase riddled)
3) Republique (Again, a boring ass game. Graphically great, but if you buy games to just salivate at the graphics, then buy this game. Otherwise, hit your head against a wall, that is more fun than this atrocity of a game. Cant believe that veteran game devs like the devs on metal gear series, fear etc made this. Shame)
4) Asphalt 8.
5) Real Racing 3.
6) Nova 3
Almost all games played on it without a problem. Except the ones with only touch control as an option. Gamepad supported games run amazingly.
I couldn'd get Asphalt 8 to work. Maybe it's a Radeon GFX Card Problem.
Unfortunately i also can't get Dragon Souls working. Can't get past save import screen.
But i am very happy that Alto's Adventure is fully playable, even with the xbox 360 controller. It looks gorgeous on 21:9 screen.

I could not for the life of me get Real Racing 3 to recognize my xbox 1 controller at all! Is there anyone here that got the game to work with any controller? (Not a keyboard a controller)
Real Racing 3 works . Asphalt 8 works and even has keyboard support in-built. Gameloft might me money hungry whores, but they know how to make a nice racing game. That is until you realize that you are better off playing Need for Speed Ungerground 1 and 2 on an old silly PC rather than these vile in-app purchases filled atrocities .
Gaming on android really sucks. C-Ops however is one really good game. In-app purchases, yes, but no pushing. I got all the weapons for free anyways. Since my phone lags like **** on that, I played it on the remix installation and it sucks. Android x86 roms runs it just fine.
