I believe these HTC updates are for unlocked and unbranded HTC 7 Mozart... Lets wait for more feedback

No unbranded or branded Mozart with the HTC update?

so far no update found on 7 mozart after the pre-NoDo update. (non-carrier branded)

Yup...confirmed... and contact the HTC Customer Service via e-mail... no update avail yet...

Hero Update for ebay bought phone

I bought my HTC Hero off ebay, I got it right after they were released in the UK. Will the update that Orange released work for my phone or is that specifically for phones on the orange network?

If yours is white or brown/black and unlocked, you can get the update from the HTC site.
The Orange update is only for BRANDED Orange phones.
Its for Orange branded handsets.
If your's in a generic HTC Hero, then the generic HTC firmware update should work.
Enter your serial number in the appropriate place on the updates page to find out if its compatible.
If its a T-Mobile Hero, you will have to wait...
Most likely - since you got on on e-Bay - it will be a generic. I'd suggest that you flash it with one of the MoDaCo ROMs that also roots the phone (a lot of the utility apps require root access). Besides, the MoDaCo releases help free up on-board memory for running apps.
Yes - I have a white generic Hero bought through e-Bay.

[Q] confused about branding

I'm a bit confused about HTC's new Windows Mobile 7 phones.
I life in Germany an HTC released three new mobile phones running Windows Mobile 7; the HTC Mozart, HTC Trophy and the HTC HD 7.
Now comes the confusing part. It seems to me that Mozart ist only available with a t-mobile branding, the HD 7 with an O2 and the trophy with a vodafone. On getgoods.de they offer all of them. And they say the devices got a branding but no SIMlock. From another source I heard that the branding is software only.
I want to buy either the Mozart or Trophy, but my carrier is O2. Would there be any problem? What will I have to do?
The branding comes from the fact that they are the only ones allowed to sell it on contract, they will come simlocked (but Mozart isn't impossible to unlock) and will have specific software to the carrier, you can also purchase non-branded phones from the likes of amazon or microsoft, which will come unlocked and wont have any of the programs for o2 or t-mobile etc

[q] htc hero provider update

Is there any update 2.1 for HTC HERO AT&T? mine is not sprint provider =(
You can just flash unbranded rom.
I bought my Hero in a Mobistar-box in august 2009. My hero didn't support the htc.com-updates because it was branded by Mobistar.
They said it's up to HTC, HTC said it's up to Mobistar.

htc mozart from carphonewarehouse UK has orange software on it?

Hi,
any one has idea that Carphonewarehouse UK sells SIM free HTC Mozart, would this be on Orange software or on Original HTC softwares?
cheers...
Hi!
I got my Mozart 7 from CPW and it has orange branding and it's locked to orange as well.
*is quite easy to debrand the Mozart 7
Hope that help
Carphonewarehouse provides just the same phone as you would get from Orange directly, same orange box with orange software on the phone.
However, if you get it from O2, it will be HTC software loaded phone with just locked to O2 which O2 can unlock for you for £15/- straight away.
cheers....

[Q] HTC One X+ AT&T Software Update yesterday?!

Has anyone else with HTC One X+ on AT&T in Southern California received Software Update yesterday?
I'm currently rooted and on Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5.0 and Software 2.15.502.1
I wasn't sure so I cancelled the updated right after reboot, by selecting "go back" just in case the update needed to take place on an unrooted phone.
