[Q] Android triange exclamation - Folio 100 General

Today my folio 100 hanged, and after rebot I was unable to start it.
It was showing only black screen (whitch blinked twice).
I thought maybe something went wrong,
so I tried to get to recovery menu, and try to flash it again.
But now I'm getting android triangle with exclamation.
Does it mean it's bricked (deadlock I've read about)?
And is there anyway to fix it?

Look at that thread. Perhaps it will help you.

Thanks, in this case reason was very simple.
SD Card had save protection turned on.
And repeating black screen on start up was because
some files were left in cache by other roms Ive used before.
Factory reset + cache cleaning + dalvik cache cleaning with
ClockworkMod before apply of foliomod on fresh stock rom
solved this.

can someone help me figure out what's wrong?

Ok, so i installed the cyanogen 7.0.3 update to the gtablet and it worked fine. I then went into settings and tried to erase the sd card, thinking it would format the 16 gigs of internal memory cause i had so many programs and files on it that i wanted to clean up. After i erased the sd, i hooked it up to the computer to browse the files and noticed that nothing was erased. I was like whatever and just tried to restart it just for the hell of it. Once i restarted it would get stuck in a recurring cyanogenmod logo boot loop. Nothing i did would fix it i tried a wipe of the data, the cache, a reset, and finally after none of this worked. I did the nv flash and pushed the original o.s. to the device. However, i still get stuck in a boot loop, this time with the gtab logo as it is what comes up under the original o.s.... Is there anything i can do? Do any of you have an idea as to how to proceed, or did i seriously brick this somehow? I'm at a total loss....any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
i also tried to get into some recovery the way you would under clowkwork but all it does is show an exclamation point with a triangle logo around it then shuts off to reboot.
I asume that you nvflash to a 1.1 bootloader.
so now nvflash clockworkmod. 08 mount usb and put a update file to restore(cm or stock) (next time you want clear sd you may use your pc to do it, be aware of not delete directory starting with a dot and you can afect some apps.) , after clean dalvik, user data & cache if boot loop ocurs.

[Q] Boot loop after flashing JFD via Odin3

Hello again fellas, I'm hoping someone helps me out of a bind I'm currently in. I just flashed JFD, but the phone is stuck in a boot loop. Here are the symptoms:
After Odin3 shows PASS:
1) Phone turns off, but instead of rebooting, shows transparent battery icon with spinning splash, blank screen, transparent battery icon with spinning splash.
2) If I disconnect from the PC, then turn on, the phone shows a WHITE screen, then the VIBRANT screen with Samsung at the bottom, then white screen, and back to the Vibrant screen.
I have obtained the same results wether "Re-Partition" was clicked or not. I am in the process of d/l AIO Vibrant Toolbox from Bay-Wolf. In the meantime, if anybody has any ideas, I'm all ears (eyes in this case). Thanks.
Did you put the proper pit and tar files in their place? Just try to flash again, you might have just had a bad flash.
Hey, thanks for the reply. After reading your reply, I checked the .pit and .tar files but it checks out.
I have also tried using AIO toolbox and used the files provided by the program but I get the same results. The odd thing is that Odin shows pass. Could it be bootloaders? I know those are sometimes an issue with Captivates, but I don't know about Vibrants.
I have a similar problem, haven't been able to solve it but try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8698655&postcount=150
Hope it helps.
Just to be sure...can you try with the files available on this post, following the provided steps:

Look fellas this has been said hundreds of times around here.
When you flash JFD, untick reboot, when using Odin, because then it gives you a chance to do the data wipe and then the cache wipe, this has been the main culprit in almost all boot looping. and do the same with other roms as well, people just immediately reboot after a successful load, and forget to wipe this data factory reset and cache, clearing this out allows no other ghost data from previous install and the present loaders to interfere with the first time boot up, I used to make this mistake, but since doing this it stopped the boot looping.
I want to thank you guys for replying and trying to help. I will look into the links provided above, and see what I can do. I apologize if I have asked a question that has already been covered here. I'm a frequent visitor to the Captivate forums, and I'm aware what's expected of every member before they ask aquestion. However, I am doing this as a favor to friend, and I'm not familiar with the nuances of flashing a Vibrant back to stock. I also didn't have the time to peruse the forums untill I came across a solution. Thanks for all the help, and I'll update you soon on my progress.

Can you clarify what you mean be "it gives you a chance to do the data wipe..."?
I tried Odin and unticked reboot and then after Odin says successful, nothing happens. There is no window that pops up on the computer or the phone that gives the option to do a data wipe.
I know there's a data wipe and cache wipe option in CWM, but I can't get into CWM or any sort of recovery mode right now...
you're clarification would be greatly appreciated so that I can get out of this bootloop nightmare
So....

Did this get resolved? I am in the same boat working on a friend's phone. Have never had an issue with Odin that I couldn't figure out. But now I'm four days in and about to pull my hair out so the magic fix would be greatly reassuring right now! Help.
You need to enter recovery mode and do data wipe. If it still don't work, try another Odin image.

[Q] Stuck in recovery boot loop midflash upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2 on dtmo SGS3

My device details: SGS3 T999, rooted, running Jellybean 4.3 on a liquid smooth ROM. Its a year old and has been a solid performer up until now.
My device is stuck in a cycle where it gives a quick vibrate, then SGS3 splash screen with white letters, then black screen, then tiny blue "Recovery booting..." words in upper left of screen, then black screen with couple vibrations, and around and around it goes in the same repeating cycle.
Just before it started I had taken the following actions: Dumped the following 2 files onto my EXTSD card (cm-11-20131217-NIGHTLY-d2tmo.zip, gapps-kk-20131119.zip) from my PC, booted phone into recovery mode using TWRP, did a factory reset wipe (success), cache wipe (success), dalvik cache wipe (success), flashed the NIGHTLY file (failed), flashed the gapps file (failed). At this point I should have sought some support. Fool! I next did a reboot step still in recovery mode. Without the reboot happening a message came up stating Superuser permission had been broken (the best I can remember) and the option to have TWRP repair the permission. I opted "yes" to repair. Then the loop started that I can't escape.
I have pulled the battery multiple times, tried a regular boot up, tried a recovery boot up (up volume+power+home) dropping the home button after a few seconds. Nothing is working. Prior to the above steps I backed up everything on the device. So I have backups to use if it can be done. My best guess is that I failed to update my CyanogenMod or TWRP to the very latest versions and it caused this hang up. Otherwise, I don't know what to do and need any help I can get.
Has anyone had this issue or heard of anyone who has and have any helpful suggestions, tips, ideas, etc..?
Thank you in advance. This is my first XDA post. Please forgive and offer tips if this thread needs any scrubbing.
I've had a few similar events for a few different reasons.
I would suggest booting into recovery but it seems you have tried that already.
If the device is plugged into a wall or pc, unplugg it, that has seemed to cause and fix boot issues for me before.
Other than that, I dunno, if you can't get to recovery or fastboot, I dunno...

[Q] Android encryption failed, factory reset doesn't help

My encryption failed, forcing me to factory reset my S4 mini :crying: But when I hitteed the factory reset button, it wiped my data (took a minute or so), reeboted, and I landed at the same screen as before. Also wiping cache, dalvic cache, and formatting /data didn't help
I've read severeal very old threads here, saying that you got to reinstall the stock firmware. Is this still possible??? Can somebody tell me where to get the right 3 part firmware for my S4 mini (DTM)???
How the encryption problem occured
HELP!!! My phone forces me to factory reset, but the SD-Card encryption key will be lost then!
I can still reach the recovery and got a backup from Titanium of all apps on my SD-Card (thank god I did it yesterday). But the SD-Card is encrypted, and the key will be lost in case I do the factory reset. I can still access the CMW recovery and even can backup the system (just /data is still not working), ADB is enabled. Does anybody know how to safe the SD-Card key/unencrypt the SD-Card?
PS. I still know date and time when I did the encryption of both storages
How the failture happened:
I started the unencryption progress, and went out of my room, the phone still plugged in.
A few minutes I came back, the screen was still black. It also didn't reacted when you pressed a key. I thought something went wrong and the phone shut down complety, so I pressed the power button for a few secs. Then it booted, but then I got the message that I got to factory reset my device.
It seems like the unencrypting has never started, but the device thinks it has started, and therefore fails to boot.
Bump
Please help me, all my game stats are stored on the SD Card and it would be horrible if I would loose them:crying:
Another bump
Other problem now, so I brought the thread back to the top
