[Q] Theming Pre-Installed Swype APK? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm hoping somebody has either tried something similar to this, or has more knowledge than me and can answer my question...
I'd like to try and theme the version of Swype that came pre-installed on our Atrix. I themed Swype on the Serendipity ROM for the Captivate:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10633404#post10633404
But that was seemingly more idiot-proof than the Atrix; I've seen a few threads/posts where people are unable to use Swype or reinstall it after uninstalling it. I'd rather not lose my ability to use Swype while trying to basically make it nicer looking. Haha.
So, has anybody tried anything similar? Or been able to restore Swype after accidentally deleting it? Would backing up Swype with Titanium Backup Pro save me if I need to restore it after potentially messing it up?
Thanks in advance y'all.

[Q] Stock Vibrant Applications?

First off, I will admit that I am relatively new to rooting android phones. I did have multiple Jailbroken iPhones, however that is something different entirely.
So I just recently flashed Eugene's Vibrant5 rom, and I absolutely love it... however I do miss some of the stock applications that come with the Vibrant. I was wondering if anyone happened to have the .apks for the original applications? I have a Titanium Backup from before the flash, and it shows the applications in the list... however when I try and Restore Missing Applications + System Data it doesn't do anything. There isn't a whole lot I miss, things like Thinkfree Office. I know there is Adobe Reader for free in the Market, but I did try it and it didn't work for me. Not being able to search through a .pdf file was an EPIC fail for me.
Any help would be appreciated
I also think having a thread with all of the stock .apk's listed for download would be a great idea. I am also rooted, and if someone could tell me how to get these off of my phone in .apk format, I won't mind uploading any of them, if not all, of course over time
are they located in /system/app/ folder?
I'm already on Vibrant5 rom, I can verify that there are a lot of .apk files in there, I can't say whether or not ALL the stock ones are there though. Is there a relatively decent demand for these to be posted? If so I don't mind reverting back to stock and pulling them all off for everyone.
Bump on this one, been really wanting the stock calender and the calculator .apk cause they both just have more features then those that are on eugenes roms ( google map points saved to calender appointments, much more complex calculations avail on the calc besides both just look better imo).....
A bunch of these apps can't even be backed up through titanium, it unity copies data fort some reason or another. Apks of these would be awesome or at the least some files and the required terminal commands would be appreciated.
Pooped from my Samsung Vibrant using XDA app...
Dont mind the skidmarks...

[Q] COMROM Apps on CM7

So i was wondering if it were at all possible to get some of the features or apps from COMROM(Froyo) to CM7? Specifically MMS, I am not a huge fan of the looks of it on CM7 and wanted to know if there is a themed version somewhere out there or a way to get MMS from COMROM(Froyo) working on CM7? Same thing for the clock. The CM7 version doesn't have all the same ringers so is there a fix or something reccommended for that? Also are the apps not the same due to differences between Gingerbread and Froyo. Reason i ask is because Titanium Backup didn't restore some of the things i backed up. Thanks for any help guys.

[Q] Replacing Stock Apps with Custom Apps...

Hello, I am messing about deleting different files from the phone, and replacing them with (in my opinion) better apps, what i want to know is, I current LOVE the 'Go' Products, namely the SMS app and maybe the contacts app, so, which files do I need to delete/backup of the Stock messaging/Stock Contacts? I am using Elelinux newest gingerbread light... and usually uninstall files with titanium backup pro.... so can anyone help?
Be careful what you do cause some files are needed to make other programs to run or you may find you will get force closes on your phone or even semi brick.... This happened to me when I tried to change the look of my stock dialer! I did manage to do it after almost pulling my hair out for half an hour. Just be careful, I would also like to do this with go sms too, post back your results if all goes ok

yeah i be very careful, i back up everything religiously, thats why I ask here, I love my Hero, and dont wanna bugger it up
In the Go SMS app settings it says that it's better to keep the stock mms app. I also think It's better to keep the phone app. But if you use a custom launcher, you can delete the default launcher. Other apps you can delete are for example: Genie widget (news and weather), kickback, talkback, soundback, the music app, Google talk, browser, Twitter, Facebook and Google voice ;-)
Edit: and there's no reason to be afraid of messing up your phone, if you delete something wrong, just reflash your Rom with cache and dalvik wipe ;-)
sent with love from me to you
if you're running android 2.1, will this answer your question? http://www.market4android.com/stock-android-2-1-apps-list <-- see the colored cell.

Quick question about stock apps

Hiya. New owner of a P7510. I am usually good at searching and finding my answer but not for this question.
How do you remove the bloat apps from this? (amazon mp3 etc) I'm used to the Froyo and Gingerbread methods which dont seem to work on Honeycomb. Rooting and all that was easy to find and do, just this little hang up is baffling me. For now i just used bloat freezer but would prefer them actually removed.
Thanks.

You can use Titanium backup to uninstall all the bloatware.
im in the same situation, got my tab for xmas and i dont want some of the samsung apps that come with it. you say use titanium backup but isnt that for rooted only tabs? which mine isnt, and i wasnt planning on doing that.
does anyone else have any suggestions?
thanks

[Q] Stock GB SMS app (or simular) in ICS?

Hi, after using my HTC Hero since it was launched I finally recieved an SGSII at work.
I really love the phone, and have been able to tweak most things to my likings, but the iPhone-wannabe-ish SMS thread viewer is definately not to my taste. No big issue, ofcourse, but I'm still posting about it in case some of you skilled Android-hackers/users have an easy solution. On my Hero I really loved the look of the SMS app in FroydVillain (Froyo) and Decked (GB). I'm honestly not sure, but I think they both ran stock unthemed SMS apps. Black baground, white text, clean interface without those silly bubbles. I've been trying to do a Google image search but haven't found out how the stock SMS app really looks in ICS so I don't know if the cartoonish iPhone-bubbles are from TW or AOSP.
I dont want some bloated and ugly SMS apps like Handscent or Go SMS that I've heard cause problems like duplicate sms-es.
Also, since the phone is my eployer's I want to avoid flashing/rooting it, so simply installing mms.apk from a different ROM is not possible afaik.
So, any suggestions? I guess I'm sort of hoping someone already compiled a binary/apk based on mms.apk that can easily be installed and used as the default messaging app.
