Forgive me for the noobish question but despite massive amounts of searching, I'm still unsure. Is the atrix's bootloader encrypted or only locked?

Did you even look around and search here?

Maybe the way you asked as rude? Just an assumption because I've always asked questions and gotten a response. I've even been borderline upset regarding bootloader issues from the EVO and now the Rezound.
Just asked if and when the rezound would be supported and that it kinda sucks being locked down . I also mentioned the ceo stating that all phones would be unlocked or could be

Keep asking. Don't stop there. If we all ask each day, they're bound to give us what we want. Or not. At least they get the point. Please post a link to their page in the OP so we can all ask about the bootloader.

This maybe far fetched but wondering if this would be news worthy? I mean a ceo straight lieing to customers is pretty big imo. Maybe class action worthy ?

I am willing to bet your comment isn't "deleted". On the top of the wall there are options to sort posts. Try clicking "Everyone (Most Recent)".
The Facebook page still has the petition and the comments about unlocking the Rezound bootloader on it.

I hope you are talking about a minor league baseball team or something
I have been harassing the **** out of both companies. One of my posts on HTC USA has over 125 likes, lol.
Are they any closer to getting 4G working on unlocked bootloader ROMs? This might be a silly question but I'm just curious

he's playing you. he's kinda rude.
there's not a lot of development going on due to driver issues. i would say so at least. so it makes things much slower. most all roms are stable with a few bugs and all ics/jb are without drivers and a few of the devs are busy with their own lives at the moment. so it makes development a lot slower!
Oh.... that means we will never have a unlocked bootloader except motorola itself unlock it....

Haha only slightly! But I'm pleanty helpful when I can be Again, this is a question that pertains to the current bootloader delima, of which there is a wealth of information within 3 or 4 threads just on page one and two of general and QA..
2.3.4 bootloader was unlockable, because Motorola allowed us to download it and use it. It was not developed! And it's the only one unlockable bootloader, we have.

I am running a version of 2.35 that was not ota but shows a reservedODM value that is unlockable. Is there a way to use this to help unlock other devices?

you could try doing the fastboot work around? if it's anything like the electrify with the 2.3.5 shipped bootloader you can easily unlock. try it out.

Okay. Looks good. Is there a way to extract logs or other info that might help the devs find a workaround or method to unlock the BL on other devices? Should anything be installed to help with that?

Just got my HTC One X+ a couple weeks ago and I've been looking to root the device. It's from AT&T though and as far as I have researched, the device right now can't be rooted? I am just making sure. Can it or can't it be rooted right now? Much appreciated!
Hail to all android users!!!

You'll want to read this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994961
There are a few other threads you'll want to read for reference. You should be able to find those. You can go through this process manually which takes a little longer but you'll learn more.
Make sure your flash the TWRP recovery to your AT&T phone. The CWM recovery will result in tears.

Hey all,
So I wanted to load up a custom ROM on my DNA eventually, unfortunately I didn't read that accepting the latest Verizon OTA would not allow me to do that, and therefore I took the OTA.
I was wondering, is it possible to downgrade to the original build (1.15 i think) that shipped with the phone via an RUU? Because then I would be able to use the current unlock method, correct?
Thanks!
p.s I read around, and I didn't see anything about this, but I apologize if I missed it.
No, it is currently impossible to unlock your phone.

I was about to suggest that too. Its only $45 I think for the guy in Dallas and well worth it. I've been in communication with them and they have been GREAT to work with on several issues, I'd send my phone to them in a heartbeat.
To find the thread Google "XDA DNA s off for the impatient."
