[Q] Assert Failed error - Folio 100 General

OK, I'm gettin really desperate. I've tried FolioNotion 1.2 and I wanted to go back to FolioMod 1.4. But when I try to flash the ROM, it ends up with error:
update boot.img...
assert failed: write_raw_image("/cache/boot.img", "linux")
E:Error in /sdcard/FolioMod.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Ignoring the error I've tried to do a factory reset/data wipe (all in Clockwork recovery btw) but it ends up really fast (like nothing have happened). After reboot I get a standart FolioMod setup - time, date, language... everything. At the point when it installs all the packages (42 if I remember correctly) it's also super fast and it looks like its just skipping the packages.
I can get to a homescreen (only standart android launcher and toshiba one available).
So I've figured out that the problem is with internal storage. Dexter's website seems to be offline but I've managed to found a mirror site (http://mirror.ddevnet.net/tegra/folio100/folio100) and downloaded the update-formatstorage.zip. But then again when I try to install the formatstorage in clockwork it ends really fast but with "Done" message.... Nothing changes after this.
Is there any help? I'm also unable to install any app from market and folio gives me an error when I try to hook it up with my computer. Thanks.
Edit: SOLVED

Im having that problem now, could you please share how you did it.I have also tried with Dexters format script but it doesnt seem to have any effect so i run installation and it installs system but when it installs boot i get:
update boot.img...
assert failed: write_raw_image("/cache/boot.img", "linux")
E:Error in /sdcard/FolioMod.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
i read that yours booted anyways mine dont, i need help

As I've said try "LOST or Destroyed partitions - METHOD 2 - ADB USB" on http://bb2k.org/folio100wiki/index.php/FolioMod_Issues
It worked for me but yes, I was able to boot up so it was possible to use ADB. I'm not really good at this so I don't know if ADB shell works without properly booted device...

Make sure that you don't have the USB cable plugged in when you boot into ClockworkMod to flash the ROM.
ok i will try that and get right back to you
i dont have the option to reboot into recovery so unless i have data cable plugged in i cant reboot to clockwork
turn off phone>hold VOLUME DOWN & POWER>wait for hboot to be done loading>go to RECOVERY with VOLUME DOWN> select with POWER
and also is there anything you reccomend for bettering the aria? like preformance wise or visual?
cm7
powerAMP-music player
go sms pro-free great messaging app
adw ex- better than regular adw launcher
beautiful widgets- nice replacement for sense clock
swiftkey- great keyboard
camera 360- great camera app
its all mostly personal preference look around the forums(all of xda) search the market read android websites etc
thanks very much

[Q] Stuck in android system recovery, E:signature verification failed

Hi all, I tried rooting my MT4G with the gfree method, after I rebooted i saw that S=off so i went into HBoot and Rebooted, The screen goes berserk and ends up on Android Recovery, I figured I'd just apply the stock recovery, PD15IMG.zip i renamed it to update.zip but I get, E: signature verification failed Installation Aborted. :/ i tried a few files. Also can't open / cache/ recovery.
Update*
Figured out how to fix it incase anyone was having the same problem, you need a fake flash recovery image, however i cannot seem to find a download for it since Clockword Mod Recovery is now on the market, please if anyone know where I can download ClockWork Mod Recover as a zip file still post.
Got that same problem.
But when I'm trying this, it doesn't install successfully and says: "Signature verification failed, installation aborted."
Hey if your still on this, I just fixed it today!! Download PD15IMG.zip, put it on SD card - hold power and down then hit HBoot, let it run and BOOM! your done.

symlink: some symlinks failed error

Hello,
I have the Problem that i can't install any custom rom on my GTab 10.1 P7500.
I'm on stock rom 4.0.4 right now and i tried everything. I want to flash the CM10-nightlies. I tried it with TWRP and CWM.
The error first was "assert failed getprop". I have deleted the first line in updater-script and the error was gone but after that I got the "symlink: some symlinks failed error (status 7) error"
I know that there are some other threads about this issue but with no solution.
Does anyone know what to do here?
Thanks

There are two reasons you'll get the "assert failed". Either the ROM you're trying to install is not meant for your tab (it's for a tab 2 or something else) or you're running an old version of Clockwork Mod recovery. At some point, the GT-P7510 getprop string changed to "p4wifi" but older CWM wasn't giving that as the device name.
First, I'd make VERY sure that the ROM you're trying to install is compatible with your device. Editing the script as you did can brick your device. If you're sure it's OK, update CWM.

Hello,
thanks for the reply.
The ROM I want to install is "cm-10-20121119-NIGHTLY-p4" and it is the right one because the p4 version is for the p7500 GTab 3G.
I have cwm v5.8.3.1. I've downloaded it again and stil getting getprop errors...:crying:
Every custom ROM I try to install I get the same error message...
Does anyone has same issues?

[Q] Samsung GS3 i9305 ROM instalation

Hello,
I am trying to install a rom on my phone but it's not really working out the way I hoped. I got blockworkmod running on my S3 and I tried to install the carbonROM file for my device. This returned the following message after about 20 seconds of installing:
set_metadata_recursive: some changed failed
E: Error in /external_sd/CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20141106-1232-i9305.zip
(status 7)
Instalation aborted.
When I tried to install cyanogenmod to the device it didn't do anything, it just imediately returned to the homescreen on clockworkmod.
What can be the problem here and what should I do to be able to use the phone again with any good ROM?
NOTE: I am very new to this stuff, with installing ROMs and rooting my phone.
bump
*coughs*

Asus eepad transformer rebooting

Hey,
So this is my first foray into this sort of thing. I have some computer background but I haven't really gotten into this sort of stuff.
I have an Asus Eepad Transformer T101. I was requested to load Android 6.0 on it.
I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/eee-...t/rom-t3318496
I had to learn some things my way. User Debugging was on but I couldn't flash recovery. I ended up finally flashing recovery (I forget what step I had to do to use Clockwork Mod Recovery).
Once I was into CWM I had E:\Cannot Mount \sdcard\.
I then found out I had to use a micro SDcard, fine.
I couldn't load anything, and no solutions were working for getting SDcards to work.
I found a thread through google that said to use SD Formatter, to no avail.
Then I found this:
http://www.transformerforums.com/for...-firmware.html
I have the files and. It was a batch file that loaded ADB then I could flash recovery. I attempted to flash recovery and I got to rogue XM recovery 1.5.0 (CWM - based recovery v5.0.2.8)
I used Nandroid Backup (Note, still could not mount SDcards)to do a backup of everything to the internal storage. I then did a wipe of all user data.
I have a folder called Marshmellow with Katkiss-6.0_025.zip, open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20160219.zip and BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip.
I attempted to install the KatKiss one, and it failed saying:
"Installing Update...
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/marshmellow/katkiss-6.0_025.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted."
So here's where I'm pretty sure I screwed up.
I loaded the Gapps and SuperSU.
Tried marshmellow again, and no luck.
Now the device boots to the eepad transformer screen, lasts a few seconds (usually no more than 10) and then reboots.
I've tried
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1688012
and
http://justanotherdave.ca/?p=351
The latter simply doesn't work. And I don't think I can get into ABX mode for the former.
Are there any resources on how to "unbrick" the device that may still work. Right now it just keeps rebooting at the nvidia eepad screen. I can get into recovery still.
