Seems Sleep Of Dead (SOD). Press power button for about 10 secs. This will power off your tablet. After that, power it on as usually.
I had already tried, but I solved it by opening the tablet and removing the battery, thanks anyway for trying to help.
But now I find myself with another problem .. the menu button sometimes goes for his cabbages, around the forums I read that a bug is common to many, but unfortunately my home button is quite dificult to translate everything there is to know about you tell me if there is a fix? <-------- errors by google translator
Briefly, I apologize if you have difficulty understanding me, I find myself using the menu button that goes to his cabbages and I can not translate the entire board to seek a solution, if there is such a solution could you explain it?

It looks like you may have a hardware issue (on the board). Did the phone get wet or damaged in any way?

I know that the hardware starts acting funny if it get wet since the contacts for the buttons can short out. I would get HTC to take another look at it. Also, make sure that you are not damaging the device accidentally by crushing it in your pocket or things of that nature.
Hello guys. At first i´m so sorry for my bad english, so i´ll show you a video of my problem.
Phone - HTC Hero, Android 2,1
Video:
I can´t post outside links in my messages...

It will not go to sleep mode when pressing the end/power key. But it still takes phone OUT of sleep mode, but now I have to wait for the screen timeout instead of pressing the button again.
I tried to find answer to my question, but i failed... I tried Reboot, Spare Parts - i don´t know if it worked properly, Hard reset, but the power button still not working properly.
Thank you! Marty

Try to restore your phone to the default, or try to install a custom rom

Now i did a ROOT and i try to flash in some ROMs but it still not works + it cancels my outcoming and incoming calls...
Sounds like you have a failing power button.. like I do.
It's a real pain in the ass... been looking for solutions for quite a while, besides physically replacing the circuit board the button is on...
I know this is old but for anybody researching the same problem... after trying MANY different apps for taking over power button tasks, the only real solution was to buy a replacement "Flex Cable" assembly on eBay. Takes some bravery to install but everything works now.
But that's just my experience.
I suppose that the simplest way out id button remapper that you can find hear at xda.
By using such software you can easily turn any of the other physical keys of your device into the power button.

True, and they did work once the phone was up and running. However, when something went wrong on my rom and I needed to get into recovery to re-flash... I was SOL.
Yes, remapping is applied only after the kernel is loaded... So remapping is quite useless if the phone is switched off.
Hello.
i recently flashed the "fourth bar" with the A1 kernel rom on my p7510 and while overall satisfied with it, i came across a little problem.
when i connect it using the official samsung charger to the plug while it is turned off, the tablet restarts itself, but with touch input unresponsive.
this means that it does not respond to touch, but does respond to volume and power keys. only way to make it function properly is to hold the power button for 5 seconds and quickly disconnect it. then i need to turn it off again. i find this method overly complex for simply charging my tablet. i will thank anyone that might have a solution to this problem i'm having.
Thanks in advance, E.

Hi,
I`ve got a problem with my Galaxy s3. The powerbutton is broken. Now my mobile starts and, much worth, shut down randomly (or is hanging in a bootloop). I don`t want to repair the hardware as I get a new phone in a month.
Could anyone give me a hint where I can move the whole function from powerbutton to homebutton and finally how to disable the powerbutton completely?
My Device is rooted and I have already disabled the soft buttons because I enabled the onscreen buttons. So I know roughly how to change those things but in this case I don`t know where exactly. There are several "power" in the "generic.kl" file. But not sure which one is the right and more important: how to move the function to homebutton.
If anyone could give me a hint Than I would be more than grateful
Thanks, Sven

Hi Sven I can help kind of if you wanted you could turn the power button fucntion off completely while the phone is on to prevent the function to be used but you cant map the functions used by the power button to the home button as far i know if you want to not use the power button while the phone is on you can use this Java code if this might help......
Java
<
KeyguardManager keyguardManager = (KeyguardManager) getSystemService(Activity.KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
KeyguardManager.KeyguardLock lock = keyguardManager.newKeyguardLock(KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
lock.disableKeyguard();
<
and then In Manifest File give this permission inside application tag
<
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.DISABLE_KEYGUARD"></uses-permission>
<
hope this can be used by you.
Wow, thank you so much! This is a good solution for now. I'll give it a try at this weekend and give feedback. I'm on my way right now.
If anyone else knows another way I would appreciate those ideas too. Thanks!

Just for info, in techtablet forum is now also a way to repartition whole Hi 12 space for Android (Cyanogenmod) and remove windows partition.
My Chuwi Hi12 just wont turn on again! After 6 months of use and the windows 10 1709 update it refuses to turn on...the led blinks like it´s charging but I cant get it to work. I have tried connecting a keyboard and pressing ESC or F7 while pressing the power button, I´ve tried pressing the power button for more than 10 secs, etc...

Sometimes my light didnt blink too.
After wild pressing buttons for long time and very often it started working again.
Try also to leave the charger for atleast 1 hour on the tablet maybe it works.
