Hi,
I'm running RaduG's TastyGinger 2.0 on my Hero. Since NAVIGON Select isn't working with Android 2.3 ROMs, i've been trying to apply the libmedia.so - Patch which I found around here (sry don't know wo did it, think it was gauner).
Problem now is, libmedia.so has to be replaced - which I am, although my Hero is fully rooted - too stupid for
Tried several "root explorers" (except for Root Explorer itself which isn't free), none worked. So I searched for some pc-based solution, found Android Commander.
This requires Android SDK, no problem, downloaded... "This programm requires Java Development Kit"
okay, downloaded JDK 6 update 24, installed.
Started Android SDK setup again - "This programm requires Java Development Kit".
WTF? didn't I just install it?
Reboot PC - no effect, still same problem.
Does anyone know a solution to my problem? Am kind of desperate cause I want to get NAVIGON working, got no data flat so Google maps is becoming expensive.
Does not matter to me if this solution is PC- or handheld-based, just want to get navigon working
Thank You!
Just hit back and then next again.
tried this, didn't work. also rebooted system several times, but no luck ...
LOL ...this works! I had JDK, but thougth that my version is maybe old (it was't though). So I downloaded update 25 (was 18), installed it and faced the same message "not found" ...it was very funny that that it woks only if you go back and forth but this really works for me!!!
solved, with new version i was able to install without problems. thread may be closed.

I've searched this and other forums for solutions (.cab and regedits), but none of them worked for me.
I'm trying to get PC Anywhere 12.5 mobile to run on a custom ROM on my VZW HTC Touch Pro. It works perfectly on the stock ROM, the "pre-release" linked in the stock section, Scott's "6.5 beta" post -- but I can't get the darn thing to properly work on any of Scott's 6.1 custom ROMs. It will install w/o errors just fine on the latter, but as soon as I reboot and try to run the program I get the dreaded "application cannot be found or not signed with a trusted certificate error."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with HTC Touch HD...
I´m having the same problem. I try everything that you can think.
My phone is a HTC Touch HD.
The strange thing is that my wife has an Sansumg Omnia with windows mobile 6.1, and I install PCAnywhere and works fine.
If you find a solution, please tell to everybody, i will do the same.
Thank you.
I'm also having an issue with pcAnywhere on my HTC Touch Pro.
It installs fine. However, when I go to connect to a host it sits there with a warning "Warning: Reducing encryption level." -- and it hangs. On the Host I can see the phone trying to connect, but it never makes it. I've tried changing the encryption level to none, tried adding encryption, made sure the phone (remote) and host match.. and nothing. It'll never connect.
The same version of pcAnywhere mobile (3.0.0 Build 123) works fine on my HP iPAQ and HTC Apache without any issues. I've also tried a newer build (from the pcAnywhere 12.5 CD) and I've come away with the same results.
If anyone has any ideas....
Any updates?

That sucks, as this is one of the programs that I actually did use. Hopefully someone will figure it out. I'd be willing to donate some $ to the cause.
can you upload the cab so i can take a look at the files and see if i can find an issue...if you want pm me so you dont have to post in the open public...
Any news on these invalid cert. messages? I am having the same issue. Is there a way to turn off certificate on programs??? Wouldn't that be much simpler?
Please follow this link:
The problem is 100% solved with Security Configuration Manager

I had the same problem. At least for me, the fix was to delete all the files that were MFC80xxx.dll. Then I could reinstall this.
I posted this fix a long time ago, but for anyone that may need it again, the way to get this program to work (at least for me):
After install - reboot the device.
Then, look for all the MFC80xxx.DLL files
Rename them to MFC80xxx.dll - it is important that these are all lowercase (the .dll extension).
It should work indefinitely after that fix.
For whatever reason, when pcAnywhere installs, after initial use or after reboot all the MFC80xxx.dll files have a capital .DLL extension. This will make it so that they cannot be read correctly for any application (including my backup applications). But changing it to smaller case .dll works. If you are concerned, reboot and check if it is still in lower case. It should be, but if not, just rename it again - it should stay for good.
Good luck for all that use this program.
Hello everybody...
This Message I left on an other thread for someone who asked for experience in using this app on a wm 6+ system:
"Just tested pocket Radiologist v2 on a stock 6.5 system of the htc HD2 and ready to revive this thread by now!
1. ADOCE had to be installed - otherwise the executable of the the app ****s up the executing.
2. installation of adoce is a bit tricky ... switch the OS-language (wm5 or 6 or 6.5) to englisch (british) if you use a foreign system. finally restart & install ADOCE. no matter if you switch back to your native language after installation.
3. start pocket radiologist - works but...
4. on the thc hd2 the font/character size is wrong. the toolbar/list which should be docked on the bottom of the screen floats about the half of it. trying to switch the screen to landscape with bsb tools doesnt work. I'm very sorry for this now!
5. Tried WVGA Fix 4 already - the characters' still far too big..."
Anyone's got an idea how to fix this character a/o resolution-problem?
Hope someone can help in the end.
I'm using the palm version on the palm emulator, works ok. the images are not great
this is interesting as i was just trying to install an older version (for wm5) but was having no luck. states it installs, but cannot find any evidence on the phone that it is there. did you a) install ADOCE and b) then transfer the pocketradiologist .exe and run it from the phone?

I did only the install procedure as described. first adoce, second the needed module. i installed it on main memory. execution after installation in that order made me no pain. i didn't transfer anything at all.
hope someone can solve the problem with this software...
Install completed succesfully, but I have the same problem as ppcppcppc (TS), so I hope someone can give input about a possible solution??
This is my first post, so apologies if this is in the wrong place or has been asked before (I have searched and found some answers, but none of these worked)
Basically, last night whenever I tried to use an application on my HTC HD2 I was getting the following error message:
"The file xxx cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one if its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
In searching for the solution, a lot of people are saying that I need to edit the reistry. (Specifiaclly HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies DWord = 0000101a - Change value from 0 to 1)
I have tried downloading the recommended registry editors on the forums (Resco Explorer etc.) but am unable to install because the "program is from an unknown publisher." I click yes to get pass this initial message, like I always have done in the past, and the following is displayed:
Installation was unseccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed beacause it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."
I have also tried using a program recommended called CeRegistryEditor and using my PC via ActiveSync to edit the registry, but am getting an error message "Access Denied!".
Does anybody know any other way of editing the registry? Am I actually doing the right thing? Are there any security settings that I need to disable to allow CeReistryEditor to edit the registry?
This is really bugging me, I have only been without my apps for about 12 hours throughout the night but it is hard to live without them!! I REALLY don't want to perform a hard reset and will do anything to avoid this!
When I get this I just remove evertyhing to do with it on the phone and re download it (the cab file usually) and it seems to work.
thanks for your reply. I have tried this but when I try and reinstall I am getting the message: Installation was unseccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed beacause it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate.
I think that the security settings have been changed, but I cant see how to change them with editing the registry which I am struggling to do
Can I ask what app you are trying to install? Or is it any app?
Multiple Apps that were running OK yesterday, but not today. I think it is all the apps that I have downloaded from Omarket.... Omarket isnt working either!
Hi,
Any luck on this. I m also facing similar issue after installing Android on my HD2.
I have the exact same issue after running Android from SD card. No application (non-stock ones) are working anymore. Like 3rd party certificates are being blocked or something...
For everyone with this problem, download Mobile Registry Editor and connect your phone to your PC via USB, then start the Editor and go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies" and search for the DWord "0000101a" and change the decimal to "1", that will fix your problem. This problem happens to me if I "reboot" while in Android instead of turning the phone completely off and then back on.
Edit: Added link to download.
As a side note, I always did this to mine while running Windows Mobile, then booted Android after fixing the registry.
and when this is not possible
Hi,

Hi,
I also have the same issue after loading android from the sd-card. I have also re-installed the stock rom and the problem still persists. Im also unable to install any reg editors as keep getting the "not signed with a trusted certificate".
I read that a cooked rom may be a solution around this but I liked the set up I had and wanted to keep my original rom so any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Lee
Exactly the same problem.
Non-stock programs not working after failed boot of android from SD card, and I'm unable to change any registry entries either. Practically I'm locked out of my phone, just the basic functions working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
if forget where I originally found this link (its on xda some place)
http://www.internet-tools.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/sda_unlock.zip
but run this first and you no longer get the access denied when using the mobile registry editor , hope it helps.
I have the same problem, just remove the program that was not working, pull out your memory card , then delete the files in the sd card except the application installer, hard reset your phone, and remember to go to SETTINGS-UPDATES&FEEDBACK-ERROR REPORTING-DISABLE ERROR REPORTING, and turn off your phone, put in the memory card and turn your phone on and install the application one by one, the application installed will work as normal, Good Luck, remember to back up your data before hard reset

Normaly Tivizen (a DVB-T Tuner for iOS Devices) works NOT with Android Devices.
But "iCube" produce the same Device ..... BUT with a own Firmware
In Android Markt / Google play is a App available which run ONLY with "iCube" Devices.

Hello, ...... ???
Hi
I have got a tivizen wi-fi and it works perfectly with my italian nobrand samsung gs 2 with polish android 4.0.3 using the icube program found on the market (blue icon).
It works even on my asus trasformer 3G with official ICS using the program on the market (orange icon).
... be happy.
Same problem
Can u please help me with the same problem?
elgato tivizen
has anyone had any luck with this yet?
This is a little confusing but am i right in thinking that its only the "Elgato Tivizen" that will not work with android and other makes of tivizen work fine like "icube" and "humax"
so is it just a firmware difference as they look identical and are both called tivizen but made by different companys, i'm guessing this is the case,
and i bet they are all made in the same factory
so by installing Icube firmware on my on elgato tivizen should in theory do the trick
anyone have any thoughts on this or have solved this problem i would love to know
laters

I have buy the Tivizen Nano (Samsung Edition) and it work fine on my Samsung S2 and with the patched Tivizen Samsung-Phone App it work also on my Huawei Mediapad.
But it doenst work on my Sony Tab S I have download the Tivizen Tab App from Market but it found no device. After a lot of Google i found a tip to change the entry "tivizentv" in "tivizenSS" in"arrays.xml".
Now after starting the App i can saw the Device "TivizenSS12345" but after i press OK an error occurs and said "no device found".
I think there a something more to patch in the App but iam an absolutly noob. So i have the big hope that someone can help me to run it on my Sony Tab.
I will donate to them who help me to run the App!!!
I've got my Tivizen from elgato working since today. The changes I made were from 2 weeks ago and then I could connect but there was an error that the device should be turned on. Didn't found out why it' is working now...
What I did.
I copied the tivizen apk from icube to my pc. I opened the apk and in the folder \res\raw there is firmware file. I copied this file to c:\programs files\terratec\terratec home cinema\drivers. With the terratec software I updated the firmware -> still not working.
I decompiled the apk and with a hexeditor i changed all tivizentv to tivezen in classes.dex and recompiled and signed it -> still not working. then I got the error that the device should be turned on.
Till today I tried it again during a dull moment on my holiday and it worked. I could select a country and scan for channels. The country where I'm now isn't supported so I couldn't test it completly. I'm not used to doing stuff like this so if somebody wants to try the apk I made or want to look further on it...

hi,
i found out tivizen works just fine, when my 7.7 runs with ics 4.0.3 (or .4 ?), while on 3.2 it doesn't. it kinda runs, when i modify the tivizentv to tivizen, but then it would start up, show the tivizen in device selector and then quit, saying that it doesn't find the device it showed before. also on the market i get different versions of the tivizen software. on 4.0.3 it's the one with the black tivizen icon, while in 3.2 it get the selection of the 3 orange programs.
no one found a way to run tivizen under honeycomb ?
;(
Hi everybody,
Im trying to fix my problem myself for about a week now, but seems like my nooby knowledge is not enough to get it done...
First of all the description of my problem:
I used to play Rage of Bahamut (in apps described as v2.0) on the Emulator-x86 (ICS 4.0.4 with gpu acceleration). Everything worked fine, but about 1 week ago the admins of the game made an update and my old version stucks at a "404 page not found" page directly after I enter username and password and press the login button.
What I have tried:
I tried several Android versions and app versions on the emulator. The main problem is that newest apk files contain a .so library and I'm not able to start the app after an installation by adb. I tried with libhoudini, but no success.
I checked the http requests and responses to the game server to find out why the older version stucks after the login and I realized that the server denies my "device". I cant figure out what phone information would be needed to cheat their server.
Please dont tell me to use Bluestacks. I know the game works on it, but its not really playable. I would like to use my speedy Emulator-x86.
Anybody out there who knows about my problem or simply needs a challenge? Please help me to run Rage of Bahamut on a emulator x86.
Thanks and Regards
DaShyGuy
