In my hand for Zpad, I don;t know if it if fit for vega....
Looks nice - can you measure it?
Yeah i'm thinking about buying this for the advent vega. What do you think of it?
Don't buy i buy one for 57$ from dhgate.com and advent vega is to big. I was lucky because a friend of mine has gtablet and i sold it to him same price. Is the best case i have ever see high quality and the best is the 3 position of the angle.
Sorry for my bad English
Cheers
Thanks for the heads up

Advent Vega Folio Case
I have had my Advent Vega for around a month now and have been concerned about keeping it safe. So a trip to Curry's i picked up the advent vega folio case.
First impressions of the case were good the device slides nicely into the case (although it could be a bit tighter) Giving good protection to the edges of the device. I am confident it would protect from light knocks and possibly minor drops.
There are cut outs for the i/o ports, even the microphone is visible. One of the few bad points is there is no cut outs for the speakers, so the volume needs to be increased.
The material is similar to my v-smart Armour case for my desire hd, a matte black with a textured finish. The pinstripe design inside is odd but not unattractive and there is a compartment for paperwork. The case also doubles as a easel, which is great for propping on the desk or coffee table for movie watching.
Overall, I think this case adds a small amount of bulk for the level of protection and for anybody with any worries about damaging there beloved advent vega, this is a must buy
Edit: Added some pics. Sorry for the poor quality
I am searching daily for a TPU gel skin/case for the vega or its various other variants, but so far I've had no luck, If anyone sees any around then pls let me know!
Hello all
The stock case from dixons et al was to expensive to ask for me xmas pressie.
Is it worth it?
Ive seen other cases at a similar price with a usb keyboard build in, anyone got any experiences of those? (with the usb fix obviously).
or, is the std vega case worth the outlay?
Im also more interested with pound shop ipad screen covers than the 12! pound dixons/curries/pcw ones.
Again, any personal experiences?

I got one of these HP Sleeves from DIXONs, about £21
this was after hearing that the cost v quality of the Advent case wasn't all that..
Its a well made sleeve, its neoprene so fairly water resistant I assume and the Vega rests on it nicely at the right angle for viewing and typing into without slipping off..
I'm really happy with the official case as it offers some decent functionality and a good bit of protection.
Just need to get a dock now!
Definitely looking at getting a folio style case like the official Vegas one, though that one's a bit expensive at the moment. They should really realise that people paying a budget price for the device itself aren't likely to pay a premium for the accessories.

Two days ago I tried the official Toshiba Folio 100 case on my Vega (Mobii 10) and it fitted very well!
And it serves as a stand too!
(look here and click on accessories)
I didn't buy it because of the price: € 39,99 (about 33 GBP)
And I would really love a case with a USB keyboard...
I guess there's none yet that fit's the Vega perfectly without blocking the USB port...
I have ordered one of these:

Has yet to arrive, but for £5 delivered I am not expecting miracles. Lots of people on Modaco have got them from various suppliers, mixed reviews tbh.
Advent Vega Folio Case
I really dont think £29.99 is a massive amount for a case. Most cases i get for my mobile phones are between £15-£20 and they are about 1/6th the size. I think the official case offers good value for the protection it offers.
Hey
I have the Advent case. I got it from my brother as a Christmas present. When I got it the Vega fit pretty snug and I didn't have to worry about what way I carried it. however after not even a month the Vega now slips out quiet easily.
For the price I'd have to say not worth it and I'd hold off for alternatives

That one from 7dayshop is for an iPad which is quite a bit smaller, so wouldnt expect that one to fit.
Currys now sell a tablet sleeve for the Vega, i cant post links due to post count, but it can be found searching for Tablet Sleeve
I'm also after a decent fitting case

Spot on, about 30mm too short!
As 7DS didn't list dimensions, I incorrectly assumed they were selling the 1 size fits all item that most are buying. Ah well.

Maybe he just takes the case to the pub and leaves the iPad at home, for fear of being mugged

Hi, we have been looking for a leather effect case for our vegas for a while and read all forums and how the offical case is not that good? this week i found this on ebay they are based in the UK so i ordered 2 on the 7th June they arrived the morning of the 9th June, they look and fell quite good quality but time will tell but for under £15 delivered got to be worth a try?
I hope this helps other vega usuers

I bought the official vega case from pc world and its ok but you have to be very careful when handling the vega in this case otherwise it will slide out very easily, should have bought a third party one off ebay, i did however adapt a bit of velcro on elastic to solve my issue because i didnt want to spend more money
I got a PU leather case from eBay which is pretty decent

can anyone find me a good one
anyone know of a good one (off amazon not ebay) that fits properly, and that i can leave on the tablet.
ive been looking around here and amazon trying to find a thin(and i mean as thin as possible) case for my TF. I see these roocase and same ones from a different name but they still seem too bulky for my taste. Curious if anyone else has seen something.
Not worried about material used or drop protection.
I use the sikai case since 2 weeks and I am very happy! It 's thin , but I don 't know if their are thinner cases!
The ASUS one is the thinnest I have been using. I think its basically the same or only a MM thinner than the sikai but its more money and I dont know if it can be built much better.

Where did you get the Sikai case?
Its from eBay and posted in other links. I have it myself and I can confirm that its very very good. No docking while its on though.

I'm on a quest for something of the same design as the sikai or the official asus case, but allows for docking....
The strange thing is that the official Acer iconia case is pretty much the same design, but is open at the bottom, but it stays in the case fine because it's such a tight fit. Hilariously enough, the Transformer, which actually has a keyboard dock, is closed at the bottom and so doesn't allow for docking.
Surely it's not that hard to do this?
Thinnest: Asus official.
Sexiest: Roocase Slim-Fit.
which one is the slim fit?

I agree.
Asus Official cast is crazy expensive for what it is.
The Roocase Slim-Fit can be found under different maker is even less money. I just ordered one under the brand poetic (I think) for a about 20 bucks.
Roocase ultra.

Hi, is the rooCASE Ultra Slim a magnetic closer? Thanks for the help.
Do the magnets cause any problems for the pad?

Thanks! I order mine yesterday, hope I get it soon! ^_^
thanks for the link. that does look right up my alley. Kind of wished it had a pouch for a cleaning cloth too but meh. Had to order a new bag for work so ill see how it fits and base my choice off that.
looks magnetic. i see no straps or "snaps". Compass interference is important too.
Hoepfully the compass thing will be a non-issue in the next update. I am currently on the ASUS case with velcro but I previously had a magnetic case that my girlfriend is now using and it never caused a compass issue until the 3.2 update. And its obviously the case because the moment I take it out it works fine.
Something changed to really increase the sensitivity of the compass, hopefully they dial it back it bit in the next update. Honestly though, its amazing they have a compass that sensitive in it, Ive got some higher end equipment for camping that doesn't detect that small amount of magnetic interference.
Can someone suggest me a sleeve like a shocksock for those who haven't seen them here is an IPAD one

I have tried a Belkin sleeve previously but that was too small for my tf201 and all the other recommendations have been for netbooks IE the tablet with the dock which I don't want as I don't carry the dock around with me all the time and the tablet itself is lose in the sleeve without the dock again..not wanted
so any suggestions ?
Cheers
This is what I have been using since I got my prime months ago, lot of space for stuff, fits even with a case on(roocase leather folio case) still feels and looks brand-new. I got mine for 10$

does the prime not flap around inside ?
Hmm not really, it does slightly when it is the only thing in there but for the most part it's a pretty tight fit but the material can stretch to accommodate more items

I got one i bought from Blacks, no link but its just the right size. Generally, look for cases for netbooks. Most netbooks are about the same size as the prime. Also check cell phone stores, smaller electronics shops, more of the less mainstream areas. Theres a kiosk in my mall buy sells only tablet stuff. Check out places like this, and ebay. you can find lots of good deals on ebay just make sure "buyer beware", know what your buying
Happy hunting!

I have this sleeve as well and it works perfectly for the Prime.
Since you are looking for a sleeve, Thinkgeek offers this one which should fit the Prime as well based on the size of the sleeve:

hi,
I am using this one
http://www.amazon.de/SIMON-PIKE-Tab...LC/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1345190068&sr=8-10
and love it
There is also one you can close if really wanted

Topic says it all...has anyone found a decently priced case? I've been looking on eBay but some look sketchy.
Here's one :
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/360-Rotating...s=63&clkid=4162583605089776296#ht_2851wt_1397
Here's another on Amazon.ca (I'm a Canadian)
http://www.amazon.ca/LuvTab-BLACK-T...3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1355536517&sr=1-3
Not the most fancy, but I want the screen protected from scrapes, and if it drops I want a bit of protection around it. The prices are low because I don't have a lot of cash...in a month or so I'll be buying a much better case. Or selling the TFP
I purchased this case and am pretty happy with it. A friend purchased the same one for his tf300 and he also likes it.
