As topic stated.
as most SE X10 owners (stockwise) most of us knows the Online Navigation/Map software called "Wisepilot"
now as far as i know there are 2 versions of wisepilot:
Wisepilot (wisepilot.com)
Sony Ericsson Wisepilot (sonyericsson.wisepilot.com)
regardless of the version theyre both wispilot.
now when i used to have Stock 1.6 and even the SE update to 2.1 there is a pre installed Wisepilot (SE version) or u can always download them using the phone's browser @ http://sonyericsson.wisepilot.com then select X10 and language.
but ofcourse u can also do the same @ http://wisepilot.com, both version will work on the stock roms.
now heres the problem for me, back in the days when SE X10 roms are still in development or not even being released, I had and still have a subscription running on my wisepilot (SE)
now that I have my X10 flashed (regardless of the rom) Ive tried the Beta4 of Z and currently im using Cyno6 Froyo. The SE Wisepilot wont work anymore, when starting the app im getting a message "your internet settings are not yet properly configured for wisepilot" ofcourse internet settings and all are in proper working order.
But when I download the stock Wisepilot version (http://wisepilot.com) and fire this up, this will work properly.
What im guessing is that the SE Wisepilot version is authenticating or checking the phone version wether or not its a geniune SE phone (in terms of software) and as we all know a Custom ROM wont show up as geniune as these are customs with custom version name, etc
***for reference, the 2 wisepilot version are totally different and are seperate in terms of subscriptions or account. u cant use the account info thats registered at http://sonyericsson.wisepilot.com to http://wisepilot.com or vise versa
has anyone came across this problem or might know what u can do about it?
in short my problem is, i have a sub on my SE Wisepilot which i cant use cuz I have a custom rom... (please dont troll me with "Then go back to stock rom" if so, just keep it to ur self cuz ur not helpful)
thnx
Have a talk with the Wisepilot support team, explain your problem. They offered me a refund, so that I could switch between generic and specific version without loosing my already bought subscriptions.

Hi guys,
Yesterday I updated my X10 mini PRO to Android 2.1 via regular SEUS (Claro carrier from Brazil). Everything went just fine.
Not a surprise, Google Talk is not installed by default and not available in the Market (same as in Android 1.6). So I installed APKtor and downloaded Google Talk version 1.3 (latest version available from Google).
The point is, Google Talk just does not work. When I tap its icon, it seems to start loading then it hangs (I get that "Force Close" message). It worked just fine this way (downloaded from APKtor) back in 1.6.
Anyone else seeing this? Maybe it's blocked by Claro? If so is there any way to debrand X10 mini PRO with 2.1 already?
Thanks!

In 2.1 the name is only talk so try to look in app drawer for it

Knudsen, thanks for the tip but there was no such app installed... Claro is really blocking their users to run this app (maybe because high amount of data usage?).
Anyway I ended up by flashing the generic UK firmware, now I can use Google Talk perfectly and I am rid of all Claro crap.
Now let me see if the battery drain issue is also gone
Cya!
If you use gtalk for more than 3 hrs , the maximum data transfer will be around 3 MB ... so thats not the problem
My problem is worse. I have samsung galaxy S with android 2.1 update1 and the gtalk will just not open. it blinks and disappears again. clearing cache and all that has not helped me. Help please

Get updated to gingerbread now.. There are many interesting options u would love ..!! N yes all goggle apps are supported in gingerbread.. N I find it more stable n fast..so make a try.. n 2ndly ur post is in the development section.. Please post ur questions in Q&A section next time..
Gintonic.SE + zombie-pack kernel by slade ..
If you want to stick on your rom, you can make a backup and try a clean install. But i recommend upgrading to gingerbread. The roms on 2.3.x are really stable and fast, but keep in my you will lose all your data as 2.2.x data can not be restored on a 2.3 rom.
Hi,
I've found an online store (in Portugal) that is claiming to sell xperia x10 mini with android 1.6 upgradable to 2.3.
It came as a surprise to me.
Does anyone know something about official gingerbread to x10 mini?
Thx
official? I don't think so. you should ask if they deliver the phone with the 2.3 installed. (maybe they sell it with an custom rom installed) I have see stores that do that.
only miniCM7.2 include 2.3.7
There is nothing like this in the official Forums from SE.. 2.1 Eclair is the latest update for ourx10 miniĀ“s.
most probably fake in other words
i want gingerbread 2.3 sony stock rom , is there any flashable zip files for it ? or atleast i want the stock firmware download link? can someone plzzzz giv me that
All 2010 devices from sony ( x10, x8, x10 mini, x10 mini pro and whatever i forgot to mention ) have been given an update to Android 2.1 (Eclair) and that's it.
There is no Stock Rom for our devices from there on, so no Froyo or Gingerbread. The reason this site exists is to allow us to bypass the limitations set by the hardware manufacturers and run software beyond what they give us.
So, if you want Froyo or Gingerbread.. run a custom rom, you can find many of them in the development section of this forum. If you want Gingerbread or ICS stock.. buy a newer device from Sony

Just in case you're not aware of it, your phone needs an unlocked bootloader to do that, pay very close attention to see if your simlock-certificate is supported, otherwise you will lose the capability to use it as a phone.
Kernel: nAa kernel for gingerbread
Rom:MiniCM7-2.2.0
Sony style: Sony Ericsson Stock Mod
Have fun with it
Hi guys! I'm new on this forum!
I read lots of posts and pages...but i can't understand something (maybe because i'm italian and reading english isn't so easy for me)...i need a suggestion:
i have an xperia sola sent 2 times to xperia support for solve lot (too much) problems of my phone...the first time i installed 4.0.4 and it was a disaster, a really disaster...they re-send me the phone with android 2.3 (i don't remeber which) as i requested: problems...the other time phone came back a little different, with android 2.3.7 (GB)...now i have GB, but there are still problems (one is that 1 months ago it started in "safe mode" and no widget has been loaded, and now since 1 month ago every widget is red with "impossible to load widget"; other is that lots of time apps "doesn't answer" or they autoatically close; and others and others)...i don't want to send my phone another time to support and request sobstitution with another xperia sola as they suggested me, because situation will not change i think...
my question is: what i might do better?
keep my 2.3.7 and restore it with official way
root my 2.3.7 (after restoring it, i think)
root and activate (is it right?) bootloader on my 2.3.7
install extreme security + experience v.2 (aroma) (to do this, do i need to install 4.0.4 before?) (with or without bootloader?)
i need a phone that begin the call when i need, messages, mail, gps, calendar and the most useful things...i don't need to play and i don't need facebook or other social networks...but it has to be not fast, but acceptable and a working right phone...so is better wich of the options?
i'm sorry but i'm hating my phone and i don't know what to do...thankyou
