This is built off of x10i 2.1.A.0.435 rom and 54 baseband.
You must have a working 435 rom before flashing this!!
Will work on x10i and x10a (i have an x10a)

Fresh Install: (aka coming from another rom or going from A to B or C)
Prerequisite - If you would like to retain your current apps, I suggest backing them up and restoring them using this method
1. In xrecovery, perform a full back up
2. In xrecovery, factory wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats
3. In xrecovery, install custom zip and choose wpx10.zip
4. When finished, reboot
5. DO NOT RESTORE DATA IN XRECOVERY!!
enjoy
Install going from "B" to "C" and keep your current apps/settings (this will only work right going from version B of this rom to version C of this rom. not from A to C)
1. In xrecovery back up current
2. In xrecovery, factory wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats
3. In xrecovery, install WPX10C
4. In xrecovery, advance restore data
5. In xrecovery, wipe dalvik cache again
6. reboot and enjoy
If you like this rom, buy me a beer
25% of all proceeds will go to 28spawn and another 25% will go to Timo Kujala for his Launcher7 work. 25% will go to subhankar.ds for a lot of the framework.

No, not me nor anyone who worked on any part of this rom is responsible for eventually any damaged caused to your phone or life.
Yes, offcourse i am aware this is CyanogenMod 6.1.3 officially... but in my eyes it is not worthy enough to call it that, because not everything works yet.

I do not want to see any fights, cursing, banthering or what so ever in any negative form in this thread... if so i will let this thread be removed.
support ended, because i bought a new phone
Changelog & Fixxes & Themes
beware you should wait up to 5minutes the first time you installed the rom
Fixxes:
- No signal? visit this page for a lower/higher baseband version and you should be capable to flash it over it.
- i am truly sorry to say, that i blocked most advertising websites, adds etc.etc. if you however for some reason do wanna have these, whipe the hosts file ^^
you found something that is broke?
or are you gettin force closes? (if you really got this because you use baseband that is lower than .54 imma hit u with the ugly stick!)
download catlog from the market and send me the logfile, i'll make sure i'll do my best to fix it

This is built off of FreeX10 Beta 4, so you need to have a rooted 2.1 rom before flashing this. This was tested on .54 baseband, so this should work fine on .54 and .55 basebands.

Confirmed Working (for me atleast):
Camera (stock android, no zoom, vignette works great for more options)
Camcorder (stock android, 800x480 17-24fps)
GPS (may take a while to lock satellites, took about 3 minutes for me to lock 8 satellites)
GSM (you may have to manually enter your carrier's APN settings)
Wifi (remembers access points at reboot)
The stock camera app works, it's not the SEMCcamera, it's the android 2.2 camera (just to clear up some confusion on the camera working).
Thanks to:

Other Notes
I've had a few people ask how to backup and transfer data from 2.1 to 2.2.
*For angybirds scores, you can copy /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files/highscores.lua to your sdcard and restore it after install to save your progress. Or just copy the com.rovio.andgrybirds folder and it will backup your settings as well.
*For SMS, i use GoSMS, which is an XDA-Developers app, so i will suggest using this app and supporting the XDA devs. it has an export/recover conversations to sdcard option which works good.
*For contacts, i sync mine to google, but for those who use the sonysync, GoContacts, which is the same developer as GoSMS, has an export to sdcard option. I have not tested it, but I will assume it works since the GoSMS works.
*For other apps, backing up the apps in the method described in the install procedures will just reinstall the apps, but not the data. app data with specific details can be found in /data/data. Back up the folder in /data/data that corresponds to the app you want to back your data up from, and that can be replaced to /data/data after flashing the new rom and resinstalling the app to restore your progress and data in that app. I will say that you should not use this method for google apps as it may not work right between 2.1 and 2.2 roms.

No matter how many times people ask this question the answer is not going to change until we have the drivers. The Stock camera is STILL not possible without the bootloader cracked or someone rewrites the drivers. From looking at the OP, this ROM is Free X10 Beta 4 with a Windows 7 theme and apps zip aligned.
However, the camera is working and there is a limited new fix for the camcorder, so all Froyo ROMs now have a functional camera/camcorder. Still no HD or zoom. Use viginette app for camera zoom and better functionality than the vanilla Froyo camera app.
Any recommended Baseband for this rom? I have the second most recent one.

Thanks. And this is how to show people what is working exactly. So OP's "everything working" is exclude the stock camera.
I didn't want to leave this project unfinished so I decided to finish it up. This is the froyo ui moviestar mod ported to our lovely x10 devices. This rom is slender, beautiful, and fast. It uses go launcher as an option and has market installed so you can download what ever apps you need. I also put busy box and su in xbin and installed the latest recovery. This rom runs on baseband 49 and 52 but you can use cobrato's baseband change zip to change the rom to match the kernel on your phone. Although I had everything but camera working on the rom, I didn't want to spend to long on it. So I did use some of cobratos files (ramdisk, init.d) and of course the great z and j's core files to port and bring this file to you.
1. first download rom here (please do not mirror)
updated rom do not wipe cache, data, and dalvik if you are updating.. Only wipe if you are doing fresh install.
UImoviestarMIUIb.zip.html
2. then make sure you have recovery menu installed
3. wipe cache, wipe data, wipe dalvik (in recovery)
4. install through recovery and reboot
5. wait for it to reboot or use dev tools to crash the system server
6. use and report happiness or bugs
May 22 changelog
fixed app install issue
added spare parts 4

Wichita rom .. Wich baseband... used each rom on my phone for a day...
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Same, never stops rebooting for me, I'm using the FormelMIUI ROM with baseband .55, fixing the permissions solved some of the reboots, but they still exist. After a few minutes, the phones becomes unresponsive, and the screen shuts off, without rebooting though. I have to manually remove the battery to restart the phone.
Umm ... it's buggy... but i like it.
I can not apply any other Themes.
Display Brightness only works on MIUI Formels

FAQ
Q: This is my first time with motogingerfunk, what do i need to do?
A: Be sure you are on 2.3.4 SBF, and you just need to flash the latest version, wipe data & cache.
Q: My wifi is not working what do i do?
A: If your wifi is not working there is a good chance you were not on 2.3.4 prior to flashing.
Q: I installed and then proceeded to "tweak" my system by editing build.prop and other system files. Now things are not working correctly, where did i go wrong?
A: Please do not ?!uck with your system after install. I cannot be responsible for any "tweaks" you have made. Please revert all "tweaks" or do a fresh install and test the system prior to your "tweaks" before filing a report.
Q: I want to do it but this girl seems really slutty?
A: When in doubt, keep it in your pants.

Where do I find your system recovery boot strap? Is it the same one I've been using for 2.3.3?

The leaked 2.3.4 might not be the final version or soaktest so that might be why.
Well stock it is allready faster then 2.3.3.. I imagine once i de-odex and de-blur a little things will be even more speedy.
Running no problems with great speed after installing speedy scripts

Transparent lockscreen is not a big deal my friend.. you just need to edit one image.
What image?
What I have found most about the update to 2.3.4 is the phones ability to find open 3g towers and switch between then seamlessly. On 2.3.3 no matter what rom I was on my phones reception and 3g tower access was always weak. I think the software updated the way the internal radio operates.... Just my thoughts on it
