I am currently using Wolfbreak's latest rom.
Everytime i install data2sd.zip from xrecovery, i get a long boot, then a boot loop.
When i get into android, i either freeze at the tutorial with a bunch of reports of app crashes (google calendar and etc.) or freeze later on when i decide to reboot.
If i reboot, it will freeze before i can do anything, and it will say something like "uids on the system are inconsistent... instability and etc"
I followed these steps from the post slowly and repeated these steps a few times:
1. Go to Xrecovery and make a Backup of your current ROM (optional but i suggest it)
2. make following in Xrecovery
- do a Factory Reset
- Wipe Cache Partition,
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Wipe Battery Stats
3. Install Custom Zip and choose CM6.1.3-V4.zip
4. Install another Custom Zip and choose CMUpdate-V4.3.zip
5. Install CM-V4Gapps.zip for Google Apps
6. When its booted go to your Programs and choose preinstalled Sysctl and make sure it is enabled with this Settings
[http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=463}
7. Go to CyanogenMod Settings/Tweaks extras and Select a theme and choose CM6.1.3-V4
8. Reboot
I give the phone about 30mins, and then i reboot and install xrecovery.

Hey
Whenever I try to use a drop down menu in an app, the app freezes and closes. For example, when i want to select the type of security in the email app from the drop down menu, it would freeze. The same occurred when i clicked on a drop down menu for a different app.
any suggestions? thanks
I recently installed a new rom. So maybe I'll have to reflash or new another rom.
I think that it will fix with a reflash, but make a clean install the next time, wipe Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache.
thanks. I'll give it a try. i did do the wipes as i followed these instructions:
"
*Boot into Clockwork Recovery and perform a:
*"Wipe Data/Factory Reset."
*"Wipe Cache."
*Flash ROM
[inside the advanced menu]
*Wipe Dalvik Cache
*Fix Permissions
*Reboot Your Phone and let it sit for about 6 minutes
*Reboot again
"
But hopefully I missed something or made a mistake something.
thanks again
Hi all,
for now I'm still on a GS2, but I am considering buying a GNote your rom and I like a lot. So I plan to install it on my S2 to go to.
A question: I am in CM9 for now, with your rom (which is based on CM9) can I do the update with the available Nightly of CM9 ?
Or maybe I did not understand (which should not wonder ) and it can not work like that?
Thank you in advance for the answer.
If you are on PARANOIDANDROID v1.0 and update to a nightly from CM9. You will then be on CM9 not PARANOIDANDROID.
Even tho it is based on CM9 it is two different things.
Updates that get put in to CM9 nightlys will be put in to PARANOIDANDROID when they want and their rom will be updated, so will there thread and the OTA updater.
To sum up, if you flash a CM9 Nightly then you will lose your PARANOIDANDROID rom.
Also make sure you use the extended steps to install a new rom.
The steps on the OP are very clear but apparently some users miss some things or can't get a properly installation so, here are the extended steps (personally i'm always use this method):
1.Reboot into recovery
2.Wipe Data / Factory Reset
3.Wipe Cache Partition
4.Install the Main ROM
5.In recovery go to Advanced
6.Wipe Dalvik Cache
7.Fix Permissions
8.Wipe Cache Partition
9.Reboot
10.If at the first boot you can't do the configuration of the google account, skip this step and continue
11.When you boot into the system, it's probably that you don't have data enabled (3g, H+) just reboot
12.When you boot again into the system the data will be enable and you can do the configuration of Google Account (if you don't do this before)
13.This is the moment for install all the extras like themes, fix's, kernels, etc.
14.Enjoy!!!
Thank's all.
Still Confused....

Remember always to take a backup before flashing any rom.
Good Luck.
Okay guys... I've done a Google search, looked at the apps manual, and watched the tutorial videos and this was never explained.
How do I FULLY clear a slot of data and cache once it has been used with one ROM so that I can use that slot to flash a new ROM?
If I open the boot Manager app, scroll right to ROM 1, choose the manage slot option, I see wipe data/factory reset and delete slot.
I have chosen to wipe data/factory reset and chose delete slot, but does this remove the cache and dalvik as well so that it will be CLEAN enough to flash a new ROM in its place in slot 1?
I'm running the lite version, so I only have 1 slot besides the actual phone ROM.

Update:
After wiping data/factory reset a few times and deleting slot through the manage slot option within the boot Manager app...
I chose to test it out and going on ahead and installing a new ROM in slot 1, then I was notified via pop up on the more correct options (three options to be exact) to clear before it installed a new ROM in slot 1. I chose all three options to be wiped.
Will report back to inform you guys if it works properly.

New ROM booted without an error and is clean and clear of old data and cache.
I suppose this question turned into a how to for some of you guys out there who were wondering the same thing.
How to fully replace a ROM slot using boot manager:
1. Open the boot manager app
2. Slide over to the slot where you want to install a new ROM or nandroid
3. Choose manage slot
4. Select wipe data/factory reset (I recommend doing this 3x) *Recommend using ext4 if the option is available to you*
5. Choose manage slot
6. Select delete slot
7. Now choose install zip and select depending on if you want to install a new ROM from scratch, or a nandroid that you want to install a backup of a previous ROM
8. Navigate to and select the ROM or nandroid you want to install
9. Select install once you've selected the new ROM or nandroid you want to install
10. You will get a pop up labeled "Install Queue"
11. Check all three boxes to wipe system, data, and cache
12. Select ok
It's should then have deleted all old files and is now installing a new ROM or nandroid. Enjoy.

So how do I install it?
I've looked into the other installation guides but those are for CM10.2 (Andorid 4.3) so I think its different installation method from 10.1, but I cant find a tutorial
C'mon...Read the first page of the CM10 thread & follow the installation instructions. Doesn't take a MENSA member to get it done
If you have used titanium backup root hayz to backup game data. Want to install a new ROM to install it into RECOVERY. If the rom you download it tails. ZIP Remember to wipe data + cache + dakvil before.
My device GT-i9100G
note: im always start all my flash from stock ROM (meaning stock JB 4.1.2)
my usual method, all can be done in the phone, no need odin if youre already stock;
-download all related file, CM10.1.3, CM GApps, Blazing kernel v8 (if you dont want your binary counter to change)...put them in external SD
-boot into recovery, select apply update from external storage, select file blazing kernel v8, let it finish and reboot normally
-then reboot into recovery again and install your Cm10.1.3 and GApps by navigating to your external SD (sorry cant remember the path)
-after finish installing both above file, let it reboot...if bootloop, reboot back into recovery and wipe data, cache and dalvik, and then reboot
now your CM10.1.3 is ready~
-hit thanks if my post helps you-
