Hello,
I wonder if there is any navi software (or any config) that is able to silence the windows mobile media player when navigation voice has to say anything.
Thanks in advance.
My music is always silenced when I my navigation is talking... all systems seem to automatically adjust the music player's sound: iGo, McGuider, Sygic Mobile Maps, Navigon and CoPiot and all over bluetooth.

What player are you using? I'm currently using WMP and TCPMP and TomTom doesn't silence anyone
I use either Pocket Player or the HTC Sense music player (HD2). Maybe it only works when using bluetooth / A2DP?

Does anyone know how to change what app uses Bluetooth controls? I use two different Bluetooth devices that have play/pause, fast forward and rewind controls for music but if I use them it only works in meridian player and not others.
I mostly use subsonic for music and there is an option to use the app with Bluetooth controls but the selection doesn't work. If I have subsonic open and I hit play/pause it will just open meridian and start playing music.
Same thing happens to me. Any help would be appreciated
I listen to alot of podcasts (using either BeyondPod or Pocket Casts), and would like to control playback using headset remote controls - e.g. the play/pause button on a Sony MW-600 bluetooth remote, or the same on a Klipsch S4A headset. The problem is that headset controls like these usually fire up the default media player (PlayerPro in my case), rather than controlling the Podcast player (e.g. BeyondPod).
I could theoretically configure BeyondPod to use the standard Android media player instead of its built-in media player, but then I would lose the enormous benefit of it remembering where I left off when I pause a Podcast at the end of a journey.
Has anyone here worked out a good way of controlling a Podcast player using a headset remote?
Doesn't have PlayerPro an option to disable headset interaction?
In PowerAMP for example you can toggle if you want to handle handset commands or not, giving the chance to be handled by another app.

Yes I've discovered the option in PlayerPro to disable the headset control. Now I can control the volume using the headset controls in BeyondPod, but none of the other buttons are functional (on either the Sony MW-600 or the Klipsch S4A).
Has anyone here managed to get headset playback controls with BeyondPod?
Disconnecting audio controls from default music app
Hi,
I use my bluetooth headset mostly for listening to Audible and Google Listen.
Media controls automatically invoke default music player, and control it. Only volume controls work in other players.
Is there a way to associate a different player with the bluetooth media controls (stop/start/skip)?
I am using hydrog3n ICS on a Galaxy Sii, but I believe this is a generic issue.
I have a Alpine car deck and a Android phone.
I can confirm that which connected via bluetooth to my car stereo while using the default music player to play music, song tags/information/track is displayed on my car stereo (I am assuming using AVRCP 1.3). However, I have tried poweramp and player pro and they both do not display the music info/tags/etc on my car stereo which is a big minus. Does anyone know if any other music apps on the market (besides the default android music player) will display via bluetooth/avrcp, all the song tag/information/track/etc?
thanks in advance
same problem here

I also use poweramp and player pro, neither of which at this time will display info on car head unit..Latest Rocket player update does however display info. I don't like the interface as well as poweramp or player pro, but you get the features we are looking for like fade, crossfade, and track/artist display on your car unit.
What music player app do you use for bluetooth in your car?
I'm trying to find a player that will work with bluetooth in my car but every player I tried doesn't work in my car. No song info is shown and I can't change songs on the steering wheel, everytime I do it pauses and I can't get to play again through the car.
The stock player does all that but it doesn't have a good eq like poweramp or the fading options like that.
I've tried playerpro, rocket music player, jetaudio, and n7player but none of them work with bluetooth
N7 works over Bluetooth for me. Same with Google Play and numerous streamers like Pandora and Songza to name a few.

I have never had this problem ever, on several devices and cd players. But, my habitual usage includes Google play music app. It works well enough for me, and is fast on hsdpa or better.

Any player should work over BT. Once your connection is up, just navigate to the player and you should be good to go. Since BT is just providing the A2DP connection, the player doesn't care where the music is being sent to. It just plays it to the audio out source. I think your problem is your headunit, but can't be 100% sure. My players (all of them, both streaming and non-streaming) work on any BT car I've connected too. Some cars won't display the album cover art and so forth, but the music comes across just fine.
Well any music app will play music, but I can't seem to change the song from my headunit, it has to be changed from the phone. Changing songs from the car will pause it everytime.
I would like this feature to work with my car on an app like poweramp
For me, All the controls work from steering wheel for every music player I used (from stock to ASOP) May be it depends on car stereo too.
Does anyone know of an equalizer app that works over Bluetooth for any Android phone running Android 8 or 9? Is it impossible to write an app that will do it because bluetooth streaming basically always turns the phone into a Preamp and you can only equalize at the streaming endpoint and can't alter the music signal before that? Or are there some phone manufacturers or music player apps that have built-in equalizers that will work over bluetooth? (Specifically I'd like to find one that works on LG Phones [V30/G8], using Google Play Music)
