Emotions in Messaging? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyway we could get emotions in the default messaging app?

Umm all you need to do is hold the smiley face in the bottom right of keyboard and rest of emotions come up

Moved to Q&A as not android development.

I mean in the actual txt messages it self

Im using Handsent SMS with the Emoji plugin. Works for me.

First of all they're called Emoticons, not emotions, and they're in the sms app. Like he said hold down the face in the corner

How to go about removing/resizing keys on Gingerbread KB?

I love using Camalots gingerbread keyboard but Im always hitting the period when going for spacebar.
How can I do something like remove the smiley or move it to the symbols and then extend the spacebar?
Im sure theres a setting someone that gives the length and i can set smileys to 0 and add X to the spacebar
I always had that problem with Bionix Roms for some weird reason. Im on trigger and hardly have that problem. I can post the keyboard if u want.

[Q] Changing Email Background

I posted this in the international section and thought I would post it here as well. Is it possible to change the background of the email app so that it reads as black on white instead of white on black? I saw you could do this with the messaging app and the GMail app has a white background.
Go into a specific email. Menu key, change text and background

Emojis in Stock messaging app?

Hi all
Is there a way to get Emojis to show in the stock messaging app?
I don't really want to use them but have friends who have iphones and use them and the squares with question marks are annoying
Phone not yet rooted (hopefully Monday!)

I have never used it long enough to find out. I always use GoSMS which has the smiley add on.

thanks for that. I was wondering where they were. I got a message from an iPhone user and it showed as an emoji but I had no idea where they were hiding.

Good find.
Unfortunately they are not real emojies they are just small pictures of smileys. The phone converts to mms when you send them. No big deal really but not as seamless as regular emojies
i was wondering about this..my friend was able to send emojis to me and i would just copy his and send it back or use it later..glad i know where to find them all at now. Thanks alot.
Sent them to a iPhone user and they're just sending as pictures. I wonder if well ever get true emoji integration.

I just changed my messenger app to Handcent and downloaded the emoji plugin. Quite happy with it!
Get a pop-up message notification, and all the same emojis that I had on my iPhone.

It also depends on what app you are in. You can hit menu and select insert smiley's/emoji's..
