[Q] Exchange Sync Issue - Will just stop working - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running Cronos 1.80 with GB 2.3.3 on it
At random intervals the exchange sync will just stop working. No error messages just no email. This problem occurs both on wifi and normal data. I tried killing the email program in task manager, manually starting the sync, changed the settings on the account from push to polling and back. Nothing worked. Rebooted the phone and everything starts syncing again. Data works fine for other apps too when this is happening so it is an issue with mail only.
I used to get this issue with the non gingerbred cronos ROMs occasionally - maybe once every couple weeks. But now it is happening a couple times a day. Annoying when you don't get an error message you just think you haven't gotten any email. Thinking about just going back to Froyo as it didn't seem to have this issue unless someone can recommend a solution.

Hey.
I also noticed the exact same issue.
But i am on an desire with 2.3.4 (GingerVillian 2.4).
To me it happens every couple of days.
I have to reboot my phone to get it working again
Is there a solution out there?
thx

Mail not Syncing - FreeX10 Beta 3

Hi All,
Seem to have a problem that my mail is no longer syncing with FreeX10 Beta 3
I am using juice defender to only engage 3G for two minutes every fifteen minutes, which have never caused a problem before, but recently (it seems) my emails will not sync anymore...
Anyone else have this problem, or know of a solution...?
Even manual sync doesn't seem to work...
ok, so now I've rebooted my phone and it's now working... Maybe there's an app that's stuffing it up... who knows

[Q] Bell 2.3.4 com.motorola.service.main FC on new email notification

Since upgrading my Bell ATRIX to Gobstopper 2.3.4 released by NFHimself, I have been having a few minor issues. One of them is that whenever I receive a new email (Hotmail, tried both pop and active sync, same result), com.Motorola.service.main force closes. For instance if I am looking at the list of emails and a new one comes in, I get the FC and the inbox screen closes. I can go back in and read my email, but this crash is annoying. I noticed that if I disable notifications for emails, the bug disappears. Simply disabling vibration and setting the ringtone to silent does not fix it, I have to untick "Notifications ".
Any ideas?
The motorola messaging widget is the only thing letting me know that I have email right now. I want sound, help!
Its broken
Bell and Moto are saying Atrix needs reflash that only they can do.
My push mail is broken for m.hotmail.com
As well battery dies in 3 hours now
Uses excessive amounts of data (moto blur service)
Device is warm all the time.
Obviously this is a coding bug as this is the 4th post I've found about this.
It has been my experience flashing roms in the past that cleaning out caches and doing a reset solves many problems. Might want to give that a try (if you haven't already).

[Q] Lost sync, GPS issues

It seems my phone is no longer syncing normally as expected. GMail doesn't seem to be pushing email and the built-in EMail app isn't notifying me either. Other random apps aren't syncing properly, either. It happens over both 3G & Wi-Fi. Sometimes restarting will fix for a moment as everything gets synced and notifications pop up for G/EMail. Twitter is about the only app that seems to be working properly.
Also GPS constantly stops working. A restart usually will re-enable it but it keeps failing. Opening Maps or other GPS-enabled apps does not get fix (GPS icon never appears). Even the GPS On/Off toggle does nothing most of the time.
I'm running Eclipse 1.3 on a 2.3.4 kernel with the beautiful ICS theme (Email app NOT themed). No settings were ever changed and checked to be set properly. I've even tried wiping Cache/Davik without success. I want to see if there is anything I can do before trying to Wiping/SBF back to 2.3.4 stock and reflashing.

[Q] Wifi problem

Hey guys,
I wonder if any of you has the same issue as me.. Basically, when phone is connected via WiFi it barely syncs Gmail/Facebook twice a day, I can go for hours without seeing a new email notification on the phone.. When it's on Data/3G it syncs properly and I'm getting a notification as soon as the email comes in.. I've checked everything on the phone, and I can't seem to find anything which would explain this behavior.. Currently I had to set Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep to never in order to have sync working properly when I'm at home..
Btw. stock ROM, haven't touched anything since I've purchased it.
Any ideas?

Do you notice any other internet connection irregularities when on wifi? e.g. after a deep sleep if you try the browser it fails to load the page straight away and takes a refresh?
No, after I wake up the phone when it's on wifi during sleep - internet works fine.. Ie. I can load websites in the browser, open up Google Play, lookup Imdb from the application etc. Everything is working fine apart from the phone syncing my mails and everything else while it's on Wifi/Sleeping. Checking the last time it synced in Settings >> Accounts and sync also shows that it synced last time hours ago (it didn't even try to sync while it's on wifi).
Can someone please test this if it happens on other phones as well?

Problem with com.google.process.gapps

Hi all.
Last night I flashed the UK ICS update to my 7510 (US, wifi only).
All went well.
But com.google.process.gapps keeps crashing, especially when using the browser.
Also happens when I'm in settings.
Did a search, best answer I found was to disable browser sync.
Couldn't find how to do that so in setting under accounts and syncing I disabled sync all.
So far I think it helped (was crashing every 10-20 seconds, it'now been a few minutes and no crash).
Is there a better fix? What do I lose if I keep sync off?
Thanks
Jack

I started running into the same problem yesterday. My Tab is not rooted either. I was able to resolve the issue by going into Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All select Browser and click Clear Data. Hope this helps anyone else running into this issue.
-E
this is common after flashing new rom just go to settings and make a format .....it will definitely get cleared
