A few of you might know my work from the G1 and MyTouch forums.
So here it is... the latest update for SenseBionix for TeamWhiskey's latest public rom Bionix NextGen 2.
Remember!
Backup your device and flash by Clockwork Recovery.
I am not responsible for undesired results!!! Use at your own risk!!!
Download by clicking the disclaimer:
"I accept the fact that if I do not know what I am doing or how to apply this theme modification then I will research first before asking any questions and will in no way shape or form hold anyone with the exception of myself liable for any damages that which may occur. I understand that I should do a backup prior to clicking and downloading any links and files within this post. I also understand that I am chosing on my own will to continue at my own risk."
IF you get caught in a bootloop then flash this file from recovery:
NG2SuperRevert2Stock.zip
It's the same concept as in the first post but with more apps and files pulled direct from the latest rom itself.
It might be wise to download everything first then start flashing. After making your backups of course.

Trouble? Bootloop? Force closes? Hope you made backups! Because this is where you'll need them. Until I can figure out what is causing it here is a workaround:
BACKUP YOUR DATA! (In case you haven't done so already)
Download this NG2Revert2Stock.zip file and flash it. Then boot and you should be back to stock Bionix NextGen 2. Then try the theme again.
Still didn't work? Download Bionix NextGen 1 again and let it boot and make sure it's stable. YOU MAY LOSE YOUR DATA!
Reboot back into recovery and install the theme like before.
Let it boot and make sure it's stable.
Restore your backups from Titanium or MyBackup Pro OR you can do it the easy way by doing Advanced Restore through recovery and restore Data (doesn't always work though).
Allow it to boot and you should be good to go!

looks good thought he battery Icon, and the status bar look a little off, along with some of the icons in it. I would help but I'm on CM7, I have the icons though if you want them.
Other than the 3g Icon the status bar from sense I remember looks like this http://lh5.ggpht.com/_0XbBdt8eSnE/TSjpO3dBCDI/AAAAAAAAALM/yb2D43YVUdg/s512/screenshot_3.jpg

I know that some are off. I have the icons but unfortunately I don't have 125+ of them. LOL! Not sure about CM7 but Bionix has 125+ png files just for the battery for each battery level percentage. The 3G connection images are different than the link that you provided though. Back in the G1 days, I took the original images and I removed the black from it and made it transparent so I can always change the status bar background later without having to re-theme the connection images. And some of the icons are of course off because I only themed the browser, gallery3d and framework. So technically the browser is the only one with the Sense icon so far.

Yup... taken right out of a SenseUI rom. Can't remember which one though... I had to dig a few minutes for it.

yeah Bionix has a battery mod with a percent by percent go down, you would really only have to modify the sys_battery and sys_battery_charging (I think those are right names).
Also Sense doesn't have zzzz so there are way more for the vibrant.
Also the signal icons arent stock, but everything else is sense.
Wow!!!
Looks very familiar

Familiar to what? If your referring to the theme that you made in May of 2010 or the one that Nabzilla and I made in July of 2009?
I want this theme will you make it compatible with axura?

I've never even tried Axura rom so I'll have to look at it.
If assuming it isn't too much different then it should be fairly simple to do.
Perhaps a metamorph would be more ideal?
In any case... this isn't anywhere near completed yet. As I said in my first post, this is just a proof of concept. If anyone is familiar with my Community Hero Mix, they would tell you that I put a lot of detail in the work. In fact, I actually like to theme right from the source using Ubuntu and GIMP. This way I can add xml edits and modify jar files as necessary for best results. However... that was based off Cyanogen's roms. I don't see myself going back to those roms for a while since they aren't 100% stable, efficiant and/or complete as of yet. Perhaps later though.
Back to the topic... I don't want to jump into supporting several different roms off the bat because I don't even know where this is going. To be honest, I made it for myself because I'm just not satisfied with the options available. Then I share my work with the community. That's all there is to it actually. If I get enough support, ideas and suggestions and this gets to the point where the popularity seems to be growing then I'll look into expanding to additional roms. I guess time will tell.
Binary100100, I used to love your themes on the G1, I'm glad to see you on the Vibrant forums.
The theme looks really nice, trying it real soon.
Im really liking this so far. Looking forward to the updates. Now my theme of choice!!! Good work!!!

Agreed. I hate the all black dialer! I just need to figure out what file(s) are needing the modifications.
Where is that from?

Using bionix 1.3. Really looks nice and would love to try it but I think I will wait till till the issues stated above are worked on a bit. Great job looking forward to trying.

There really aren't any 'issues' at all. The battery is segmented so I can't really use the standard Sense UI battery images. So I used the ones from this thread: [MOD] Battery Mods because it was the closest I could get to the SenseUI stock images.
And you can't change the icons of other apps such as Camera, Calendar, SMS, Dialer, etc without adding those specific apps to the theme. I wanted to keep this below 8mb because that's the attachment limit. I could always use the Google Code service but I want to wait to see how popular this gets first. You gotta start somewhere, ya know?
Make a backup and give it a try. If you have suggestions for improvement then let me know here (please not by pm) and I'll give it some consideration. It also helps if you post references. If you want an icon that you found in a picture or something and you post the picture... great! It helps.... but it helps more if you can provide additional references such as to the dev so I can request usage of such modifications. Such as the previous post above. I like the look and feel of that dialer... but what theme is that from? Is it stock? I have no idea. You get the idea.
Just so you all know... the name of the theme "SenseBionix" was just a quick random name just so I can post this. It's almost definitely going to change. I would like to call it Community Hero Mix based off my previous work. But in order to call it that I think that I need to get the Community involved in it. Just a thought.
I came up with SenseBionix because it's ONLY for the latest Bionix rom and it has several bits and pieces of a SenseUI rom in it.
I did notice the button pushing distortion. I'll be trying to work on that if it bothers some of you. Not a big deal really. Just a matter of figuring out what button it is in framework and replacing it. I might play around with it some time next week since I work alot (5 days a week, 12 hours a day). And then I have my moderation duties. So with that in mind, you can see what I ask for help.
Binary: as a (slightly pain in the ass) work around for the battery issue, if you take the 5 or 6 stock battery images from Sense and just make a bunch of copies, renaming each one stat_sys_battery*, where * is 1-100, you can still use the original icons. For example I took the full battery icon (stat_sys_battery_100 or whatever) and copied it 5 times and used it for stat_sys_battery_95 through 100.
I worded this weird because I'm tired but that's what I did here.

Thanks for the info
I forgot to add that the charging animation is a spinning effect, I thought it went with the whole Tron disc thing. I might end up putting in a inner circle spinning the other way and get rid of the plug. Scope creep wewt!
Well I flashed axura cause its usually snappier than nero for me. Then I decided to go ahead and try to port the theme to axura. I thought this was pretty hilarious so I thought I would share.
It's definitely going to take some xml work which I have no idea how to do other than I have to decompile the apk somehow.

None of that should require xml edits. Are you sure all your pngs got transfered properly? In fact, I'm pretty sure you should be able to directly your DialerTabActivity.apk from nero5 to axura2.2.7.1. Prior to 2.2.7, they were different, but now it seems like they're using the same one.

Well the first thing I did was transfer everything over from what I modified, the dialer looked ok but the background(behind the buttons) was still axura's background and I couldn't find anything I thought it would be.
That is when I did something crazy, I transferred all of the xml's from blackfroyo that had button background in the name and put those in the update.zip. The result of that is what you see above.
The xml edit thing was referring to the clock on the notification bar that I was glancing at when I wrote that. Not to mention the notification background didn't change, and the rom doesn't have the accurate battery mod.

The date is actually in the services.jar. I can help you with the smali editing if you need, but Master actually posted a selection of date colors you can just d/l in This Thread.
Notification background is actually backwards in axura (don't ask me why). It's status_bar_background.9.png instead of statusbar_background.9.png
Accurate battery....ya, not sure why he left that out. You can either learn to xml edit, or use my framework when I get a chance to finish up my port.

The only time I've had this happen was when I installed Nero5, ka6, and then this theme all in a row without rebooting. I bet if you look in root explorer at your system/app folder the app will be in there.
Is this what you did? Otherwise you could just have a bad download or flash.

I actually love you for making this. I was looking for something like this for ages, stock 2.3 but blue. Seriously man thanks!
The only things I might change would be the drop down arrow button in the settings (more like the stock one?) and maybe remove the logo from the bottom of the pulldown? Kinda spoils the super-clean look of the theme ^_^
I think changing the pulldown is a bigger "issue" for me, just looks a wee bit out of place I think :/
Just my opinion though, looks great Hope you keep supporting and developing this.

I have made it to try to look like the stock theme, so its not a massive change just more of a small change.
As you can see it works great so far, im open to changes and help in theming other applications
Yes the icons change colour when you are connected to google services something i missed.
Dont forget to resign back in to your google account
And
As always this can put you into bootloop so apply with caution.
Was edited with .184 firmware not sure if that will matter
Original work does go to jabbawalkee and his thread here:

It would be freakin awesome if it was the stock theme! I have been looking for the stock theme for arc...but can't find it =) anybody has found something? Thanks for the great work!
Aaah man looks even more amazing now!
I know you might get sick of all my little silly suggestions BUT, I found this (similar) theme for the ZTE Blade (my old phone) and it has some resources in it you may find useful.
One thing that stood out is the battery meter glows like stock GB in this theme, but in yours it doesnt currently.
Anyway the framework is here, you have to unzip the file, find the framework in the system directory and extract it from there, sorry >.<

Hopefully you'll find it useful
Edit: Oh also, is the drop down image you attached above different to the one in the OP? It looks nicer than the updated OP haha

I had a look at the .Zip file,
Yeah they have got a little but of a blur trouble is, in ZTE blade zip the battery icon jumps in 20% increments
Where the one we have now each percent has its own image file.
i know it does not use every icon on the phone, but might matter to the .xml and may cause bootloop. something i dont really want.
Also the drop down bottom bar i attached in the post, kept crashing the systemui.apk but i know why, so i might work on fixing that.
Its the annoying patch 9 image.
Want to try to get the arc to use all the battery icons for each % rather in jumps or 20% thats what im working on.
EDIT: i actually think it does use every 1% icons taking a look at the .xml files.
Thanks for the great build! I'm loving it!!!!
May I have one little request that is it possible to have the % battery icon included of your build? Thanks and I look forward to it, thanks!!!!!!

Thanks a lot! Just to confirm that .181 firmware can change all the apk/ framework without boot loop! Just follow the step and reboot!
This is just a beta of the theme I'm currently working on for Supreme Sense v9. This is far from finished and I'm aware of the home popup menu having black on black text but feel free to email me or post about bugs and ideas (reasonable) related to the theme.

for a complete ICS feel use another home launcher such as ADW/ADW-Ex with their ICS theme and also I use SlideIt keyboard with their ICS theme for the keyboard. kinda completes the look and feel.
for the transparency you have to enable it in the miktweaks app and the rgb color for the blue in the theme is #ff22b4e3
and im a dumbass, i forgot to mention the way that themes are set up to get the full effect you need to be using the HTC skin because that calls for the stock images that have been replaced in the framework and ****. id be willing to bet youve been trying to use this with a different skin on
Simple install over Supreme Sense v9:
reboot to recovery, wipe dalvik cache, flash zip, reboot phone.
im NOT responsible for your idiocy.
Thanks to: strapped365 for letting me use his files as the theme base, VICODAN for testing, #gen-dev for feedback and advice, mikmik for inspiring strapped365 and prboy1969 to do Supreme Sense and the work hes done as well and also smadonna1986 for letting me use his droid incredible 2 theme that this is based off of which was a huge help so far.

not sure whats going on, im wiping cache and davlik, also tried wiping data seperately, but this theme is crashing my rom, when it does flash the wallpapers dont change, and lots of other bugs seem to be happening, using 132... anyone else experiencing problems? Im reflashing a fresh ss9 right now.

hmmmmm, i never encountered that problem. i just installed ssv9 as is then flashed this over the top of it without wiping and i had no issues. try redownloading, you might have got a bad download perhaps?
also since its just a theme theres no need to wipe /data
I figured that but what about cache and what not? ill try redownloading too

you can, i have i just dont do it the majority of the time because im just reflashing the theme as i update it anyways so i dont see how it matters. it wouldnt cause the problems youre describing either way unless your phones just really picky and some phones are temperamental.

my phone is a total pos, dropped way too many times, but im not sure thats an issue, the screen is totally ****ed, but anyhow, redownloaded everything, from ss9 to sammich132 and even tried sseraser, all the same problems, on mine and my roomates phone, which is in worse condition than mine, using clockwork to flash straight from recovery, not from rm, ummm yea, no wallpaper, not all icons are there, boot animation doesnt change, lots of stuff, it seems as though not all the files are loading... no ideas.. i switched to evervolvp3 for the moment to play with that, although i love the stability of ss9, not sure what to try next....

hmmmm, the wallpaper and the launcher icons arent in the theme. the launcher is adw ex with the ics theme for that and the wallpaper is from the droidx2 wallpaper app on the market. the bootanimation and shutdown animation i plan on getting in there shortly as well as setting a default wallpaper. the theme is only in beta right now and far from finished. its just the basic framework-res.apk, com.htc.resources.apk and SystemUI.apk that are themed, i havent gotten to apps and widgets yet and being i start school back up tomorrow its gonna be a slow road getting this updated.
now, another thing is on ssv9i didnt change any tweaks in it until after i set the theme then i enabled transparency for the notications, centered the clock, did my launcher, etc....
sorry youre having so many issues with it and maybe this cleared up some of the issues you had.

yea im a dumbass too, i didnt realize from the screenshots that there were other apps you had installed. Theme looks sick, I added some other stuff to my phone and matched your screenshots. went with go launcher however because i like the themed go sms. My only request/suggestion is in the contacts, if you can change the white background of each cell to black (text is already azure) that may look pretty cool, or it may look like ass, not sure till i see it lol. also when you go into a particular person in your contacts everything is still white and black. I realize there are other apps and themes out that can handle this but i personally think sense did the best job on listing contacts, i dont like the asop interface, and i dont really care for gocontacts. linking contacts to facebook is kinda important to me and it seems only sense can do that.

yeah i already had plans to work on the widgets and apps, this is just the framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, and com.htc.resources.apk so far so essentially the framework of the phone. i just started school back up on monday so ill be slow going on getting the theme updated but i definitely have plans on doing alot more to it (and if anyone has any desire to make moves and work on apps feel free to send em to me and ill toss em in if i like em and give the proper credit in the thread). thanks for the feedback twizt3d
anyone try this on ss9.1 yet? im downloading it now.
I was going to wait until I was completely finished to release this but it seems a red theme is in high demand and with ICS leaks starting I didn't know how long until it would be outdated.
This is my first released theme for android so go easy on me. Another reason I'm posting this is to get some feedback from the community as to what they are looking for in a theme. I realize there are some things that could use polishing so let me know what you think. I'm open to feedback so long as it's constructive!

Tons of Framework images-new
SystemUI
Mail
Browser
Music
Contacts
Settings
MMS
Dialer
Camera
Flashlight
BootAnimation
ICS window animations
Roboto Font
Animated Notifications - (Turn off by setting notifications to transparent in mik settings )
Clock is not themed it is Beautiful Widgets "brackated_Red" skin
Rosie and a lot of other HTC things are not able to be themed at the moment. (to my knowledge anyways)
Bugs:
I have not come across any major flaws or bugs. But then again I don't use everything on the phone so please post with as much detail as possible of the location of bad icons and text strings if you find any.
To Do List:
Version v1.0 will more than likely be the final update.
As for porting this to ICS.... I"m going to wait until there is a official ICS release or as close to official as the devs can get
plus I need a little break this theme has consumed a lot of my time lately!!!!!
Download in 2nd post
I do have 2 small requests for anyone reading this or downloading this theme.
1) If you want to use or port this theme as your own ask me first. I spent a lot of time editing these images and want to know where it's going and that proper credit is given.
2) I recently realized the lack of real feedback in the android community. I see tons of mods and themes with over 1,000's of downloads and only 10 people where able to take the second to hit the thanks button. Also multiple apps on the market with millions of downloads and only 10,000 comments that's a pretty low percentage!! I hate to sound demanding but come on people!!!! It only takes seconds to do this and it's gives us themers, modders, and hackers something to go off of and keep doing what we do.
Lastly I wanted to give thanks to all the members of the various Android forums that wrote guides for people like me to learn stuff like this. With out the community I would not be able to do the things I'm learning to do. And also a quick thanks to UOT kitchen for the battery icons and the animated background. I hate making those crazy xmls lol.

Warning. Possible n00b question ahead (first smartphone so first time geeking out over my phone)...
Do you need root for this? I just grabbed a skin but it was an app I downloaded from the market. I've installed apps using adb before but based on the instructions it sounds like root is required.
I will be rooting but am studying up on Android OS and flashing ROMs/kernels before I do.
Also, once this is flashed, is it added to the skin/theme options on the phone so that it can be selected and deselected (blasphemy I know)? And is it all or nothing or can certain elements be changed, such as wallpaper or something like that.

Wait, you're a noob? You seem so seasoned in all your posts!
To answer your questions... yes you need to be rooted to flash this. This will not be a skin as it is a theme that you have to flash from recovery. It will not be added anywhere like the HTC skins. This will simply be applied to your phone. That means that you can continue to use that skin if you want to in order to add a little more to it. I'll be running this in a second and using one of the skins that was just released recently. And most of this should be all or nothing, in a sense. You will still be able to change things just like you could with the stock theme. Meaning that you will be able to change the wallpaper and stuff.
EDIT: You also need to realize that this is a theme for Ineffabilis. That means that you need to be running that ROM to use this theme. If you try to flash this theme on top of a different ROM or the stock ROM, you could have serious issues. Still can't get over that you're a noob haha
EDIT 2: You also don't need to use adb for this. You can just download it, put it on your sd card, boot into recovery, wipe your cache and dalvik, then select flash zip menu. You can then select it off your sd card. Much easier than doing it through adb, imo.
EDIT 3: Seriously, you're a noob????? Like, I hope you don't take this as an insult, but I just can't get over it. I consider you one of the select few who know what you're doing! I'm impressed

Haha, no problem. I am thoroughly impressed. If only more would read everything before posting I would definitely recommend Ineffabilis, though it will be dead soon. It is the best ROM right now, imo, but there will be better to come with the ICS leak out. I would suggest using that ROM for now, though. I like Ziggy's kernel, too, but others have had their issues with it. I've been running it since I rooted and haven't had an issue yet. (Well, it does bootloop when I'm charging it and it hits a full charge). But it's pretty stable for me. I'm flashing this theme right now, but I'll be using the Red Beats Skin on top of it.
Edit: This is to the OP... I didn't want to flash this because I thought it kind of looked meh in the pictures. Just flashed it and holy crap it's gorgeous! Big props and hope you keep adding themes for all the ICS ROMs.
Thanks wasabi! I'll try and to add some better screenshots tomorrow.

Yeah, the only thing I was still unsure of after flashing it was the font. I read too much on my phone and it was starting to bother me. I just installed the Roboto font, though, and I love it again You should make other colors like blue and green You know, if you have time haha
The Ultimate Real Icon Theme v5
Note, this is intended to be a Verizon Touch Wiz theme, any complaints from other carriers will be ignored.
It is finally here.... Thanks for waiting patiently.
The theme can work on most touchwiz roms. There are roms like Hyperdrive and Beans that have a lot of custom systemui that can end up breaking the system bar. The least mods you have, the better your chances of sucess.
The Aroma is still a little figidity. Sometimes you have to hit next a second time even after it has vibrated to indicate it was pressed
###Please Note, if your rom does not have a 1% Battery Mod, you can not install the % batteries because they won't be accurate. This is not the fault of the theme###
TEAM RIT consists of the following members:
jbeitel
gramsey1911
foreversupra
Thanks guys for all your hard work. I would also like to thank the Aroma Team and Villian Themers who make this possible. Without it, this wouldn't be a universal theme.
There is still tons to come so this is just for those that like to follow along.
Changelog:
v.03 - added about 50 new icons to Contacts (menus and tabs) and integrated my themed Google apps including the new Play Music.
v.04 - added MMS theming, systemui and framework-res theming.
v.05 - added theming for settings
v.06 - I updated gmail and google music but I have only themed the launchers on the new maps, its a bigger task than I have time for right now.
v1.0 - Pulled all files together and added Aroma Installer. Updated Play Store and Maps
v2.0 - fixed the 3d signal bars, i accidentally had the wide ones in place of the regular width.
V3.0 - Updated Google apps, Added eyes for Smart Stay. Everything works in ME7 except batteries, i will rename them soon.
v4.0 - Added 5 styles of dialers
v5.0 - Added new Play Music, Gmail, Google Voice. fixed aroma issue and updated aroma base. No double clicking needed now.
**notes on Google Apps. I moved them all to Data/App except the store. My script removes the old ones, well, i delete a large number of file names that I have seen them called in the past. But, if your current one is under a different file name that I don't delete, it won't show up. check in /data/app and system/app for two version of whichever one it is. If you delete the old one and reboot, it will come back.

This gradient pattern goes way back to my thunderbolt days. McLuvn gave me permission to use it and I am truly appreciative because it was my first attempt at doing a dialer.

Good Stuff as always sir!
Oh yeah!!... We're here!!
Awesome!!!
The bad thing is that you cant port this from the s3 or the note 2 because it has a bigger resolution, hence all bigger images. So unfortunately its starting from square one again, which is why there is so little done. And then again, it doesnt mean squat without the aroma installer working.

Real Icon Theme v.02
Note, this is intended to be a Verizon Touch Wiz theme, any complaints from other carriers will be ignored.
The theme can work on all touchwiz roms.

Thanks guys for all your hard work. I would also like to thank the villian themers who make vrtheme possible. Without it, this wouldn't be a universal theme.
This is hardly our normal mass of work. Seeings we still don't have a working aroma, I decided that we would release all the status bar mods as individual installs (which you can find all over the s4 theme forums or just look in my beitel.us thread) and then start working on the core of the Real Icon Theme as a single install without choices (yet).
So far, all we have is most of phone apk themed, most of contacts apk themed and the Launcher apk themed. Of course you can always add the google apps theming from my other thread to give my theme a small amount of completeness.
There is still tons to come so this is just for those that like to follow along.
This link is to the landing page. Just click on the S4, click on themes and then you will see a Real Icon Themes folder. My current "bi-nightly" is in there.
Don't forget the thanks button

Yoooooo thanks much! I said in a different thread I'm a developer, but I use c# and javascript. My only knowledge of java is from comp sci classes. I wish I had more spare time, this stuff looks like so much fun!

No problem man . Start making a back up to be on the safe side. I am pulling the XML from a stock rom and the stock battery, that will replace your modded XMLS and that circle battery.
(FOR OTHERS TO READ: THIS ISNT FOR OTHER ROMS EXCEPT SYNERGY!)

Actually, wth am I talking about. This should work for every I545VRUAMDK ROM but make a backup first and I'm waiting for a confirmation that it does work.
ALSO, if your dev made edits to the XMLS inside of SystemUI it could possible break those features. Such as transparent status bar and things along that line.
Every ones been warned!
