lots of people ask... how do you port roms... so here you go... I hope now the thread is started the people posting can help each other as I have other projects working on... Maybe someone learning will help me later with my other roms
lot of chatter of people saying that the structure of my rom is from other x10 so for you all to see I give you basic instructions (that I ported and posted first with almost everything working) so here is all the basics on getting a bootable miui rom for beginners.. first download the formels newest release.
then download a stable gingerbread 2.3.3 version that is compatible with the files. ( I always use the great z and j for sources).
the next step is to get the formels rom ready by deleting the boot image and the data folder. Next step is to go to the etc folder and delete firmware folder... also delete ap2sd init script from the init folder)
then go to lib folder and delete hw and modules.
now it is time to add files. I know the miui files pretty good now so the list has shortened greatly.
now use your stable gb rom source to replace the folders I had you delet above
you may have to change other files depending on the rom i.e. bluetooth/dhcpd and others.
to start in the etc folder you need to add
apns-conf
dbus
dualmic
gps
hosts
hw-config
init.bt
init.gold
init.local
mediaprofiles
mke2fs
profile
resolve
sensors
sysctl
vold
now to the lib folder all files start with lib
cm
dll
dsm
dss
gsl
miscta
oem-rapi
pbmilb
qmi
diag
mmgsdilib
nv
onrpc
queue
ril-qc-1
wms
auth
sdi-exp
wmsts
mmipl
oemcamera
mmjpeg
there are other files but I think that is enough to get bootscreen... if not let me know and I will list the other misc ones.
now the bin files
akmd2
am
bmgr
bmiloader
chargemon
charger
compache
eeprom
fixpermisions
gdbserver
handlecompache
hciqcomminit
ime
input
monkey
pm
port-bridge
qmuxd
recevent
svc
sysinit
updatemiscta
wlanmac
wlantool
wmiconfig
Any dev, or semi-dev can start work this.

Great thanks
Thanks for testing them on device. I think if you include following 2 things in main post, it will be even more useful.
Can you please add a link to the original post where all these codes were originally posted?
Did you feel any difference in your device after making these changes, e.g. improved battery/signal after changing 3G values?
EDIT: Here is the master list if anyone needs, please be aware that all tweaks might not apply to your Xperias http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227269

there is a sd card tweak but i can not find the init.D. So how to apply this tweak?
There's an app for that
https://market.android.com/search?q=sd+card+speed+root&so=1&c=apps
I Know. I installed a app to tweak the sd but i hate it to have a app for every little **** on my phone so i want to patch the phone directly.

to add start up script support inside init.d folder in stock roms, just create a file in /system/etc/install-recovery.sh using this script
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
/system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d
and then just create init.d folder in /system/etc/
put your start up script there... it works i using it to add some tweaks for my live with walkman...
Hmm most of those tweaks are relevant to old x10/x8 devices not sure they will do ane good here. Remember just because you CAN change smth doesnt mean its working proper
I don't have this lines in my build.prop :/
is there any tweak to disable those annoiyng notifications when turning on and off mobile data?

If you are not just add the lines at the end!
If you own them, may be changing values!
Lets say I'm building/modifying a ROM. I remove all audio files and replace them with audio files of my choice. When editing the build.prop file, the following lines:
Code:
ro.config.ringtone=QuietlyBrilliant.mp3
ro.config.notification_sound=Zeta.mp3
ro.config.alarm_alert=NewDay.mp3
ro.config.cal_notification=Epsilon.mp3
ro.config.msg_notification=Gamma.mp3
I replace each one of the 'audiofile.mp3' with one I place in the correct directory. So those files listed above do not exist. When I flash the ROM, I look at the build.prop file and it's like I want it.
BUT, none of the sounds play when a call comes in, alarm goes off or text message receives. I actually have to manually set it once I'm in the ROM.
Any ideas?
They might have to be the exact same length as the old ones to work right
