You can use the digital clock widget. Use root explorer and move it to system/apps and change it to the proper permissions.
Photo widget doesn't work without arc launcher as far as i can tell.

Yea I got the clock and the news and weather widgets. I want the photo and timescape widgets.

I dont believe we got the timescape widgets working yet...I think were missing the libraries or something. But in all honesty I tried the photo widget and it just caused major lag man, not even worth it.

i did try it, i dont like it, launcherpro is best for me, but if the app drawer was transparent and able to keep 3D scrolling it would be an AWESOME launcher. i would like to here from a dev on this matter to see if it is indeed possable.
A little up because me too I'm interest for
thank's by advance
(I prefer launcherpro too, not zeam)

the stock calendar is good and also the weather widget.
(better backup the walkman app and widget for wt19i before installing the music app)
buggy on launcher and music app coz of small resolution.
cheers!
Yeah I've tried a few of them:
- the earth live wallpaper is pretty slick. Tap the earth fromt the corner of the screen and it changes the view of the earth like on the PS3. You see the moon too.
- the music app doesn't work well on the Mini. It's sized poorly for the Mini and you can't stop the music. I'm not that fond of that app generally.
- for the clocks, install widget picker too. The clock selection is good and it includes that really elegant new Sony S clock.
- I'm tersting the new home but haven't been able to get it to work. I deleted the old home, installed the new on, correct permissions, wiped cache and dalvik and still it looks exactly like the older one...
I've been able to install all of these apps on the stock SE rom without needing a root explorer. If anyone wants to read an original article on this:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/02/25/xperia-s-home-launcher-and-widgets-leaked/
Xperia Mini
The new launcher is little different, but the biggest difference is that is supports newly added widget (couldn't make them work on old launcher).
Anyway, since I've been using the modded 4x4 SE launcher, bottom apps have been cropped out due to size of the screen.
It would be neat if someone correctly resized the music player, it's really cool (it even fills out mp3 tags and cover art for you )
launcher
i want the original launcher without corners.. if someone can modify it like that to fit xperia mini

(greedy) ;D
this is not nozomi launcher guys...background dock is not lighten ....this just based on Arc launcher ....isn't?

the 3rd preview on the attachment is photo and video widget not the arc launcher. a modified arc launcher.

What is the best launcher for Galaxy y?
sTOCk launcher
adw w/ ics icons..
It's a matter of personal preference imo.
Mos popular launchers: GO Launcher EX, ADW, LP
All of those offer tons of customization. If you're after something light try Zeam, FTL or 360 Launcher. QQ Launcher is similar to 360, although 360 is lighter. They offer the same amount of customization.
Another launcher worth noting is Nemus Launcher. You can also try 3d launchers like SPB Shell, TSF Shell, or Regina 3d.

yup it's working even in stock rom, just try it..
Stock Launcher/Holo launcher.
i,m using adw ex launcher with the minimalist theme its simple, very fast and beautifull.greeeeeetz
before i used ADW Ex with minimalist for 2 months, now im on ADW Ex + Suave HD
ADW Ex for me is simply the best, tested all launchers for SGY, be it stock, modified stock, touchwiz, sense, LP, zeam, phoenix, the one on WeUI (forgot the name), and many more,
my simplest answer- ADW Ex lets me do what i want for my screen, has all the options i need and many more, further exceeds my expectations,
you can use :
Stock rom = 1st for me is no.1
ADw Launcher = i dont like this launcher
GO Launcher = not bad launcher
Lighting Launcher = you can get it in market and try it !
.
ADW Ex!!
Used to use Go Launcher Ex! No doubt it's gr888!! Bt it has too much features, transitions nd animations make it heavy!
Now using ADW Launcher Ex.. it's much li8er! using it with Glow Legacy Pro theme!
I only wish TouchWiz Launcher let us modify it more.. then I never would hv tried another one! As I don't like similar apps installed in my device!
Im using a modified stock launcher works great. Simple and Transparent just the way I like it. And I like to keep it as close to stock as much as I can.
Try LauncherPro Sense UI
Looks great along with Fancy Widgets and Nexus Revamped Live Wallpaper
mobint's holo launcher is nice n light. xperia launcher with corner shortcut is also light and a little bit fancy with xperia style.

How do you make it transparent?
There was a guide on that. I installed a hybrid/repencis theme that supports transparency then i flashed the stock launcher with landscape orientation. Theres a thread for that too

No widgets like photo, Walkman, timescape are hard nodded. So it's inseparable to make it work in a different launcher.
Dear friends,
I have been install lately, the Nova launcher,
i read about him here in the forum, and i saw very beautiful home screens and widgets.
But after i install, this is very basic, i dont have any widgets that i have in the Xperia home screen,
like the extra clock, or small apps in a qube, and i searched the settings, but nothing...
can someone guide me in it?
SXU, 4.0.4 ICS, Root + Recovery.
Sony widgets are only compatible with Sony launcher. Weatherlove is a nice clock with weather.
For xperia widgets use stock launcher. I suggest to use launchers like apex or nova only on non stock based roms.

Stock widgets don't work on Nova. You have to download your own. Some are free, the best ones cost money though.
I recommend Beautiful Widgets (paid) and Zooper (has free version) to start you off.
You can try UCCW (Ultimate Custom Widget) if you have the patience to create your own.
Thank you all...
Backed to stock one.
Can lock the thread
