[INFO] Automatic Time Zone fail - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

If I set my TimeZone as Automatic, it doesn't get my operator TimeZone but always use GMT+0
With my stock rom, just fine
any info about this problem?
Thx

may be you need set ON GPS functions?

It's not capable of changing yet. Just manually set the gmt to the right one then enable automatic.

Bluetooth message access profile?

Can someone let us know if htc implemented the map profile so we can get email/SMS pushed to our cars? We are testing some iPhones but I do miss the android ecosystem. Thanks!
Can someone who has the phone take a look at the Bluetooth settings and see if there is anything for MAP?

Thanks for the quick reply. Did you also check for any settings for a device that is paired and connected? I'm sorry to bug but I went to an AT&T store yesterday and they had a DEAD htc one on display. It wouldn't boot nor charge. sigh.
Odd, I see this setting on my One. Under Bluetooth -> Advanced, are two options, FTP Server and Message access. Assuming the latter is the MAP setting.

[Q] Auto switch to "GSM only"

I have the same problem. My I777 is running the Shostock3, whenever I set "GSM Only", it always get back to the "WCDMA/GSM" after a reboot.
I don't want to change the ROM or kernel, so is there anyway to auto-run a script to active the "GSM Only" right after the phone start? I know a script should be put in init.d to be run at start but I don't know how to capture the script to switch the mobile network to "GSM Only".

One way is to use Tasker and make it switch to GSM when the phone starts so you don't have to every time.

Haiz, Tasker is a paid software. Moreover, I dont want to use a 3rd-party soft to deal with this problem. I think a simple script autorun at start wil be more appropriate...

Check my app Toggle Data 5.0: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-toggle-data-5-0-widget-to-toggle-t2937936
It includes a Locale/Tasker compatible plugin which you can use with suitable Tasker profiles.

Thank you for the recommendation.
I have installed your app, but seems to keeps asking root access too much.
Is this a known issue?
Tnx

OEM Unlock/RMM State Bypass?

Is there anyway to bypass the RMM State/OEM Unlock 7-day wait? I screwed up the rooting process and had to flash stock firmware and am impatient. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, didn't work sadly. Is the date and time tricking method the only way to bring out the OEM Unlock option prematurely?

When did you set the time and date back to automatic or back to where it was? I'm guessing before you checked dev options the last time?

I actually never set it back. The 'Automatic Date and Time' toggle is still in the off position, but my guess is once my phone reconnected to the internet or Samsung's servers, it automatically set the date back. It only did this, I think, after I turned on wifi again and checked manually for updates.

Can't change static wifi settings

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. We have two networks at home and I need to switch between them quite often. I do so by changing the default gateway on my statically-set wifi settings, but since Pie the changes aren't saved. I can't even change my IP without forgetting and re-adding the connection. I change the gateway IP then go back (since I see no "save" button) but googling "ip" shows I'm still on the original network and if I go back into the wifi settings I can see it hasn't changed.
This is super frustrating. Am I alone? Is there a fix for this?
At the bottom right corner should be the Save-Button. Maybe you have to hide the keyboard to make it visible

How odd. I don't remember seeing that but I see it now. I'll check whether it's different when editing the settings on my home wifi after work. Hopefully I was just blind because I'd like to be able to save my wifi settings.

Right so I tested it again. Definitely wasn't blind. I was already pressing Save without noticing but yeah, it still doesn't work. Very much broken. Does it actually save any changes for you? For instance, if you go in and attempt to change your IP address, are you able to save it?
I've tried it, and it also doesn't save any changes. Then this is a bug of the Firmware.

Yeah I assumed it was but I wasn't certain if it was just me or not. Thanks for testing that and confirming! I'm on live chat with Samsung atm and the dude is checking with his phone, which is also on Pie apparently. Hopefully he can file a bug report if he can replicate.
Was a bug ever filed for this? I have the same. Issue. Cannot get it to change and save the static ip

I'm not sure when it changed but I noticed recently that on the current update it's fixed for me. I'm on Android 9 Pie. The exact build number in settings is PPR1.180610.011.G965FXXS4CSDH, if that's helpful.
If you still can't get it working, tell the network to "forget" and then re-add it, and set the static IP before you save for the first time and that should work.
That workaround works thanks.
hi guys, i tried on build PPR1.180610.011.N950FXXS7DSH1 its not saving wither with workaround or with normal way.
Any suggestio
