Well, i'm a owner of a x10mp with CM6v3.3...After I've installed a lot of games on the sd, some of them didn't work:
Larger Games (+-20MB) like Draft Mania, iSink U...can't be installed. I install the apk and during installing the screen freezes and my x10mp reboots...
Do you have any idea??
Finally i would thank Owain94 & MikevHL for the awesome Mod (and all the other devs)!!
Ohhh forgot...my english is horrible
Me too

Same for me as well. It seems to be a problem with memory handling? Not sure. I have tried to install different type of apps. Download is ok but when it stat to instal, after a while phone freeze and reboots.
It happened to me too when I tried to install BattleHeart (28 MB), while my internal memory is still 100 MB and SD card is almost 2GB free..
Is it bug ???

now, all my installed apps force close.... what should i do ??? I can't access market to reinstall them, can't syng my gmail.... nothing. Any ideas?
I have the same problem, but with App2SD..
Anyone could helps us?
Thanks..
Have u restarted ur phones?
Better than app2sd? Pros? Cons?
As I see it's way easier to install, comparing to app2sd
In App2SD applications installs to SD AUTOMATICALLY.
How they will install with Link2SD ?
1. To SD card by auto
2. To Phone and than move by self to SD ?
If 2 - then maybe modify code to move apps between /system/app and /data/app ?
If 2, u won't be able to install big apps. that's right?
And this too (big apps in some cases cannot be installed).
So, i 've got another problem, app after launch get force close. I have 2 partitions on my SD, Fat32 and Ext2, any ideas?
Use App2SD.
As for me - Link2SD has 1/2 of good idea - grafical moving applications.
But links - not good.
It may move between card and phone - that will be GREAT 100% of happiness.
i've tried the link2sd (app2sd n dc2sd)n it's works correctly even first boot needs much time depend on the apps...recomendations use highspeed class of sdcard to get good apps process
mine are working flawlessly
Thank's for the developer
thank you for sharing ! Works well, just what I've been looking for.
I've tried it,,
but why do a lot to reduce the internal memory
Works great
new version 1.3.0
thanks for sharing~let me have a look.
I've tried to install app2SD many times, but don't work...
Link2SD seems to be easy and works great! Thanks do the Developer

we can´t move the system applications, but if we uninstall the apps that we want to move to sd and install again, there is possible to move them
i try with semchome.apk
i manage to play plants vs zombies on my x10 mini i want to share it with you
(FOR Original ROM)
1 - Download PvZ on this site : http://www.mediafire.com/?zu4hq46jaihustv
2 - search from the market (chainfire3D)
3 - Free my System Space to 55-60mb(you can found it @ root explorer /system/ you can see at the left upper corner of root explorer)
4 - free my internal space to 110mb you can see it @ settings/sd card phone storage
5 - copy your Plants vs Zombies APK on e.g platform-tools of Android SDK.
6 - Run adb install plants vs.zombies.apk
7 - after installing PvZ Configure your chainfire3d (open GL settings then select 16bit or 32 bit)
8 - done.. try to run PvZ on your Phone!
(FOR Custom ROMS)
1 - Download PvZ on this site : http://www.mediafire.com/?zu4hq46jaihustv

Awesome info, thank you lestercute.
I already done that a week before you post.. ha ha ha
now how does one go about emptying most of my /data partition.... @[email protected]
EDIT: Nvm, using link2sd to link every app in /data/app. whats the system space for anyway?
EDIT2: Never runs on my Mini Pro. Gets to loading screen and *poof* just returns to the last app i was using.
Is there any other way to install P vs Z with system mem of 50mb and data mem of 78mb. Help me pls....
Well, you can install it and then use Link2SD to link the game to the sdcard (or if your using a custom ROM, its installed to the sdcard)
Nice, thank you.

i figured out a way to install it. I remove the credit movie in the package which is 15M in size. The package left with 60M and i'm able to install it successfully in my xperia. 1st time ran it and the program able to start but stopped after some initial game loading, guess have to tweak the chainfire3d.
I don't know w/o the credit movie how the game play will work later on.
That has always been my issue. Tell me if you succeed plz.
Thank you!

finally, i can run the game in proper graphics as i noticed for chainfire3d setting, once you have set it, the old setting still in effect even if you re-select any other options later. I have to reboot the phone to do a total reset. I'm choosing the reduce texture size only and the game now works perfectly.
Thanks! I was looking for this game
Tested in a x10 mini pro with MiniCM7 Pro.
Worked OK with the reduction option, 16 or 32 bit options made me crash at the end of the first level. It looks weird and broken but is totally playable, thanks!
Its not playable it always crashes :/
LOL this is a crapy 2D game and doesnt work ! And NFS Shift is fully 3d and it works perfect wthiout OC and Chainfire XD!

Hello
I know this is posted before on xda.
But have no reports of anyone trying it on Dell Venue.
Tired it on my venue last night and it worked.
Helped me move my Large apk game files viz "asphalt 6, modern combat 2, assasins creed etc. " to SD card with ease.
Recovered some phone memory after that.
Actually there is no need for this as we already have 550 MB inbult memory.
But memory hogging apps like whatsapp, some launchers, hancent, etc can be moved.
But once moved, if app supports widget. The widget support will be lost.
You need to move it back to phone memory for it.
heres the link.

The GB ROM's all support this natively.

do i have any problem by do this adb trick without root
Hello I am new is there any chance of brick non rooted mobile by using adb shell commands for move to data or install app to sd card pc
First of all, I would like to say thanks to all the developers for all their hard work to make our mini phones better and better everyday. At present, I am using my x10 mini pro with minicm9-3.0.2 installed and in working condition.
I do notice some problems related to battery drain and other issues concerning usb tethering with windows PC as already discussed in older posts. And I believe that these issues would be resolved in future versions of minicm9.
However, the most dreadful thing for me while using my x10 MP is the inability to install my favourite apps due to shortage of internal memory. I didn't have the same problem when I was running minicm7 as I used link2sd app to link all apps to sdcard.
But now, from the time I've installed the latest ics rom, my most favoured app 'link2sd' seems 'out of order'. I don't think there''s any problem with the app, but, I'm frequently notified about low internal storage even after creating links to sd card. I had over 120 apps installed and linked to sdcard '2nd partition' earlier with minicm7 whereas now I have only managed to install about 20 apps. There's another thing that I've noticed. The apps that's been linked to sd crashes on its own and this problem is resolved as soon as the link is removed.
So, somebody please help me out of this situation.. (APP2SD is not the answer I'm looking for)
app2sd is the first thing you should do. because the difference between link2sd and app2sd is only the dex files. that means, even with all the dex files, you can install up at least 50 apps using original Android app2sd.
I believe the cm9 has not solved this problem yet. I have also read all the post online and in the developers form. no one talked about this bug.
The apps linked by link2sd will be automatically move back to internal memory while starting system (before asking PIN). it says:
Android is upgrading...
Optimizing application x of xx
Im screwed
IF I KNEW ABOUT LINK2SD ISSUE, I WOULDN'T HAVE FLASHED ICS (MINICM9) ON MY W8, IM SCREWED...
First thank God I finally found somewhere I can post. I have a wt19i aka live with walkman. I had Generic 4 rom which was fine till I installed some apps and system UI kept closing. (I have tons of apps! Well why I have got this phone so?). So I had to flash my phone. As the last ROM did not end up with joy, I decided to flash a new ROM. I chose Real ICS r5.2 which is OK. Just maybe among others I have a buggy problem which is getting me mad (I mean it).
I have L2SD up and running. All apps linked to SD, still I don't have enough internal memory to install a 100 kb app. I removed some system apps like market and acrobat reader to be able to install some terminal script runners to run commands like su a2sd blah blah which none worked since all said no app 2 sd was installed though I had it.
Somewhere I read there should be a data to SD app or script or something, well I can't find it. Can somebody help me?
Well, I changed my ROM back to a custom GB.
