I live in Arizona where we don't observe daylight savings time. However, on Sunday all of my recurring calendar events (both google calendar and exchange) were suddenly one hour early. My exchange calendar on my computer still shows the correct time but the google calendar is wrong both on my phone and online. This leads me to believe it is a google/android issue. Anyone else have this problem? I have tried checking my time zone, flashing a fresh rom, clearing calendar data. Nothing works.
Thanks.

Should be the carrier signal not google. The carrier controls the time signal, the Carrier may not care that Arizona is the only state that doesn't recognize daylight saving time
Yeah but my clock is right.

I live in phoenix and had no issues. My fiance's phone was for a minute but corrected after a re boot, we work different schedules so have different alarms and calendar events.

I dont get it. The same thing happened when I first got my phone and dst was just starting. That was when I was running stock 2.1.

When you go to date/time in settings, how are your settings there?
If it's right, and it's right on everything else but your email client... then there are settings in that app that need to be adjusted.
My wife's exchange calendar was off a few hours when she came back from LA. I looked in the settings of touchdown, removed all of her calendar events and then added them back... once they were added back everything was a okay.
It's not google/android. It's an app.
It was wrong on my Google calendar though. Even when accessing through my computer.

My calendar was off until I rebooted. I'm in Hawaii and we don't observe DST either.

Then it has nothing to do with your phone...
Check your calender settings.
But times are also wrong on my exchange calendar on my phone. When I access my exchange calendar at work via outlook the times are correct. That's why i believe its a google/android problem.

My email has stopped updating. Everything else works fine. I have powered down the phone, removed the battery, restarted the phone, cycled the airplane mode.
Everything I can think of up to removing the email accounts and re-adding them. That is next unless anyone has any helpful suggestions.
Running stock Aria.

why haven't you removed/readded the accounts? that's what i would do. make sure sync options are set as well. what client app are you using? email or gmail or something else?
I tried to do that, but it said I had to reset the phone to remove the main email address.

Apparently, gmail doesn't like low phone space. I cleared up some space, and emails started showing up again.

My phone shows the syncing icon 24/7. I have rebooted and also checked which apps are syncing. I don't have any custom apps that sync, only the Google apps. Under settings, it shows gmail and everything syncing but they just never finish. Anyone have this glitch?

Did you install the update? I think the update is suppose to fix this. I haven't installed the update but I have also not seen this happen on my device yet.
No, I haven't updated. I was trying to avoid because I don't want to miss out on root, but I guess I'm going to have too because this is killing my battery.

LOL....i just sent HTC another email about this.....i constantly get the SYNC icon in the NOTI bar....and in "accounts and sync" its not showing anything syncing....
Well I just went into system updates and updated the HTC software only. It fixed the problem so if I don't get root in the next three weeks this phone is going back to Sprint.

Too funny. You sent an email about an issue they already released a fix for.

This worked for me. If you created an HTC Sense account it's set to sync whenever anything changes (Push). Go to Settings-Accounts & Sync- click on HTC Sense and change the update schedule to something less ridiculous like an hour or more instead of push. Hope that helps.

If you guys haven't applied the updates then I wouldn't send HTC an email. The problem as far as I know has been resolved with the updates.
Just flashed CM7, previously using Alien. Seems like the email.apk in CM7 is the old version or something, not the same released in OTA or Alien, i have downloaded some apks with no luck.
Can someone point me to the apk that was included in the last OTA update? Forced to go back to touchdown... man i hate entering the ping to access my corporate emails.
Thanks,
Use Enhanced Email (in market) much better, no problems for any of my accounts, including exchange.
Second this. Using it now and it works great. Even circumvents exchange security if you want (optional)

Yeah, the only thing that quirks me, and I can't figure out, or understand why, is after you open the app, or receive a message... it cause like 10 -15 of my other apps to open (pre-load) in the background. I know this b/c I will kill everything before hand with a task/app killer, open Enhanced Email, close it, and then hit the killer again, and it says like 15 app were killed... not a big deal, but takes a chuck out of the ram if you don't kill the background apps.
Thanks for the options but it is not free.

Nope it is not... but you get what you pay for most of the time
Dev updates regularly too.
What's the issue with the CM7 email App? It works fine with exchange. Push is fully supported.
I like that you can have multiple accounts and color code them. I it isn't quite as asthetically pleasing as the blur one where you had a folder with all your accounts but it is just as functional.

Nah serial number should be phone not Rom dependant? It is stored by HTC for each individual phone. Also it is not specified in build. Prop as far as I know.
On topic. I bought mine right after release back in march and I have ht03 so seams consistent

Those apps probally auto restart. This is the reason you should not use a task killer. It actually causes more battery usage if you auto kill since auto kill, auto restart cycle uses battery/CPU time.

I've got "*sync*_com.android.browser" showing up at the top for partial wakelocks. In 5 hours since unplugged, its got 25 min and a count of 251. I'm about to freeze the dang browser in TiBu since I don't use the stock browser anyway.
Is this showing up for anyone else?
This is on XXLPQ (Phone-Bricker) btw. ROM is great minus this one issue that appears to be killing my battery. Down to 64 in 5 hours. On GB I was still around 90 at this time.
I doubt this is limited to this one ROM.
I'll check it out when I get home in 40mins, I haven't seen it on my phone though.
Using stock browser?

Yes, the stock browser. The fact I'm not even using it though is the problem.
I turned that off. The browser sync seems to not stop trying to sync. No idea why.

Figured it out
Figured this out... It was the internet browser sync under my Google account settings. There was a sync issue and it continually tried to sync. I just unchecked the browser sync under the Google account.

I use Yahoo mail and it's configured on the stock mail app. Sometimes I get a notification that says the email has failed to send.
I try to resend it but it doesn't work.
The solutions:
1- Turn on WiFi.
2- Turn Airplane Mode on and off. By doing this it seems that I "wake up" T-Mobile data conection.
I had problems with Yahoo Mail in the past where I could not log in when using T-Mobile's data but it worked fine when using Wifi.
Using Yahoo Mail app worked flawlessly on both Wifi or carrier's data.
I am wondering if it's an Yahoo thing or it's the mail app or T-Mobile.
Is anyone having the same problem ?

It's a data problem. LOTS of us are having it.
We're losing data connection so emails, texts, internet connection, etc. are all affected, unfortunately. Have you upgraded to NE6? Supposedly that helps some people but it hasn't helped me.

No. Since I bought the phone there wasn't any update available and when I run software update it says my phone is updated.
Connect to Kies3 using your PC and you'll get the newest update, UVU1ANE6
I had this issue, it has to do with the POP settings. Don't do this, but this is what happened.
I couldn't send emails, I removed my email account and attempted to add it again, failed horribly. Wouldn't let me, kept saying unsafe connection. So I entered in the POP3 settings manually, and suddenly all my folders created disappeared, leaving me with just inbox and sent. It mixed all my spam in with my real mail, which was a horrible experience.
Then I changed the settings to IMAP. Fixed it and works perfectly now.
